Kentucky's started yesterday - Saturday the 14th. Bid day is Friday the 20th.

UGA Rush started Saturday! Pray for no rain!

Yes, please, no rain! But I will say the cool temps have helped MAJORLY.

At Auburn, 15/16 groups had enough bids matched to make quota. That's about all I know right now except that our new DG's are AWESOME!! :)

that's super, audg!! congratulations to your chapter and your newest sisters!! no wonder auburns panhellenic wins so many awards--this campus has got it right!! if you feel comfortable to post this, what was quota, how many girls went thru recruitment, how many were actually placed,etc. of course, after you are done celebrating!!

That's all there really is to say. That must have been some recruitment. WOW!

Lets see..we started out with about 1060 women but I don't know how many dropped out during the process. Quota was set at 55. I think they said about 86 women who attended pref parties didn't get a bid. I've just been told that 2 groups didn't make quota..

Maybe those two sororities will pick up some of the 86 that did not receive a bid, or maybe they will be eligible for COB to fill to chapter totals...........I may be way off, but isnt 86 a high number of PNM's not receiving bids after going to preference parties?

We were told that two sororities didn't make quota...but that could just mean that another one matched enough but not enough girls accepted them.

86/1060 isn't that bad. I went through as #107 of 1213 girls. I think somewhere in the neighborhood of 975 girls recieved bids that year (quota was 60 +5, 15 sororities then). So close to 25% of the girls that rushed that year either dropped out or didn't get bids. I know the heaviest cuts were after pref, because I remember looking at the Rho Chi group seated in front of us and close to half of them were gone from the day before. Same thing with the one behind us.

Anyone know how UT's rush is goin? (Knoxville) A friend of mine's little sister is going through & I wrote her a rec....but I haven't heard how she's liking everything.

UT-Knoxville's rush is going well as far as I know! I have a bunch of friends rushing this year and all the groups look promising for them! Bid day is Sunday! I can't wait to hear what happens next, I love rush threads!:D

Any one know anything about how any of the Theta chapters did or are doing?

I talked to the girl I know that is rushing at UT tonight and she is having a great rush! She says it's so fun and that PHI MU is her favorite. I love for her to be a Phi Mu...so hopefully the feeling is mutual. Can't wait to hear what she does!!

9/18 houses at UGA DIDN'T make quota.

Hold on, didn't a similar scenario play out at Georgia the past two years? I was so hoping that they finally got the kinks worked out this year.

I thought recruitment at UGA wasn't over until tomorrow? :confused:

I believe UGA's Bid day is Thursday, Aug. 19, so it's very possible that in some sense recruitment is "over." I wonder if snap bidding or other permitted measures will increase the number of chapters at quota and also allow more PNMs to find a Greek home?

We were told how many we got late wednesday night and as of 6:15 AM This(thursday) morning I know everyone in my house was up and ready to begin snap bidding at 6:30 AM.

This system that some of the bigger schools are using is making me crazy. Where are the benefits? All I see are more chapters that don't make quota and far more heartbroken PNMs.

9/18 chapters not making quota..............that's half............I'm sorry but I just think something is TOTALLY loopy with that picture.......I could see three or four maybe but half the chapters?????This should be and I hope is a serious wake up call to someone........imo.
