Since it's a new semester is about to commence, here's a poll...
Do you still keep in contact with any of your college roommates?
One of my roommates is my LS. Yes, we keep in contact. The other roomies....nope. |
My freshman roomate no. But she is great. My sophmore roomates nope...wait one..yes. My Jr. roomate is still my roomate now that I've graduated...she's my sister :D
|
both college roommates are my sorors, so yes, I do keep in touch
|
My sophomore year roomie, YUP!! She is supposed to be in town this weekend.
Freshman year -- no 4th year -- sometimes (#1) and no (#2) |
I never lived on campus. :( I'm anit-social like that! :o
|
My sophmore roommate, yes. We were in each other's weddings and her daughter is my godchild
|
Unfortunately no. Would love to know what everyone is up to though. One of my roommate's was a pledge sister. We haven't spoken in awhile though. She got engaged and basically fell off the planet. Then there was another cool but crazy roommate who borrowed my one and only pair of rollerblades and never gave them back.
|
The roommate I had for my first four years at Witt was my friend before college and is my spec, so yes, we definitely keep in touch. My 5th year, I had two roommates. One is my LS (Beauty08, remember her?) and we keep in touch. The other is a soror, too, but we don't talk at all.
|
YES!!! I had the same roommate all four years. We got along so great freshman year that we figured, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Now, she is my bestest friend in the world!!! Soror V :D
LOL, cause I just came from hanging out with her at Boule and kicking it at her house for two weeks! |
have always had 2 roommates.
first year--keep in touch with one of them, were good friends. second year--same as above seems like i always get a b!tch for a roomie, and the other i get along with decently. this year--got a single in a triple suite! so i can shut the door whenever i please. oh yeah! |
My freshman year roomie is one of my best friends. We talk all of the time. She was in my wedding.
Sophomore year and part of junior year I had a single. Yes, I still love me! LOL The roomie I had junior year was for only about 1 month and that was because I was technically in a double, but they convienently forget to get me a roommate after the girl that was supposed to be my roomie did not come back. I didn't get to know her well, so no, we don't keep in contact. Sr. year I moved off campus with my best friends and we are still girls. |
I only had a roommate for my freshman year and I do not keep in touch with her.
|
YES!!!
My freshman roomate is my Link and Line Sister so YES! My sophomore-senior roomate is one of my best friends so again...yes! |
freshman year - we're still cool. i hear from her, through people.
sophomore year - was my best friend from high school and we're still best friends. junior year - nope. she was cool but her family was crazy. she got married and i don't think she came back to school. senior year - yep, she's my line sister (my # 4). we were both on a 5-year program ( :o ) so she was my roommate the next year too. |
Nope. My freshman year roommate and I hated each other with a passion.
I went roommateless pretty much ever since. :D |
I only keep in touch with my housemates from Junior year, when we lived in The Black House:
http://www.thehoya.com/images/021004/blackhouse.jpg My roommates were an Alpha, the President of the Black Student Alliance, and a biracial, African girl. We all keep in touch. |
I had only had one roommate and had suite mates the rest of the time. I don't keep in touch with my roommate. Grrr, bad memories. One of my past suite mates I see once and awhile around town. Another suite mate is my LS.
|
My freshman-year roommates were the spawn of the devil, so... no.
After that, I landed a single, and that was the end of that. :) |

I keep in touch with a couple who are fellow Kappa Sigs...but the others I've fallen out of touch with.
They weren't bad roommates or people - in fact quite the opposite. We just don't keep in touch anymore. |
Not in touch w/college roommates
Nope. Had a mix of roommates, my favorite was a lady from Hawaii. My least favorite had a brassy blonde jheri curl (remember, this was the mid-1980s).
|
When I was at Grambling (I was there for only one year), I had one roommate the first semester and two roommates for the first couple of weeks of the second semester.
My first roomie got married in 1994 and that was the last time we spoke. We just fell out of touch. The second semester, I switched to a triple room in a different dorm (Truth--yuck) but a lot of students dropped out of school second semester and the dorms were not filled. One of my roommates had a friend in another dorm whose roomie did not return so my roomie moved in with her and I ended up with just one roomie in a triple room. It was great because we each had 2 closets and our own desks. I don't know who the genius:rolleyes: was who designed the room but there were 3 single beds, 2 desks and 4 closets...WTF??!?! It should have been one single bed, a bunk bed and three desks. whatever. Anywhoo, we really didn't get along that well but since I was on the cheerleading squad and she was on the tennis team, we rarely ran into each other. It also helped that I had a boyfriend who lived on campus so I spent a lot of time with him. When move out day was getting closer at the end of the semester, she told me "make sure you give me your address so I can write to you" and I said "Ok" as I was walking out the door rolling my eyes. I avoided her for the next couple of days and never did give her my address. Not that she really cared because she didint leave her address for me. Ummm, so no, we have not kept in touch;) |
Lived on campus for three years, all in single rroms (including as a freshman) Senior year, moved in to a 4 bedroom apt with 3 friends. 2 I talk to all the time and the 3rd once in a blue moon.
|
Naw.
No, I got along fine w/my roommates while in school but I do not keep in touch. At the most-an email out of the blue.
|
:(
I'm sad to say that my roommate of five years graduated and moved on. We were more than roommates, we became best friends. I decided to go to grad school and she decided to go to work. We talk everyday but its still not the same. At this moment I'm going through withdrawl. I'm just so used to her being there, its feels so weird that she is not. |
Yeah Right!
Let's seee, my roomate from Freshman year recieved her walking papers less than 2 weeks after school started and I've been living single ever since.
|
Freshman year roomie #1: no, she had a twin who was ALWAYS in our room, but they didnt want to live together.
Roomie #2: we had a falling out. I hear she's doing ok. Summer school: that is my road dawg for life!! so, yes. Sophomore year: was home, so no roomie.. lol Junior year: she is my best friend now.. and Soror.. Senior year: does my daughter count as a roommate? lol |
Freshman Year: I had 2 roommates. I saw one a couple of years back at graduation but I don't keep in touch with either of them regularly.
Sophomore/Junior Year: I lived in a 4 bdrm apt off campus. I keep in touch with only 1 of my roommates and I hear about the others through her. Senior Year: Lived in another 4 bdrm apt and I do keep in touch with 1 of my roommates and also hear about one of the others through her. |
