Julia Child Dies
 

91 years old.

Julia Child will be missed. :(

Nooo! I love Julia. She's so jolly.

6' 2???? That can't be right. Unless I'm thinking of the wrong person, I thought she was really, really tiny.

Maybe I'm thinking of Dr. Ruth.

I was just fascinated as a kid watching her program.


God is going to have some great dinner parties thanks to Julia.

She was such a fascinating lady. My Saturday mornings with the cooking shows on PBS will never be the same.

Yeah, I think I remember reading that she was in the women's Marines or some other service during WWII.

ETA that if you read the link all the way, it answers many questions. She actually joined the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in WWII. It is the organization to which the present CIA's origins can be traced.

Now, I don't cook and I'm a terrible cook when I try, but I just loved her shows.

I'm not trying to be insensitive because I'm not, but I thought Julia Child died years ago. :eek:

I liked watching her shows as a kid, and her reruns were also entertaining during the late night.

Sad to see her gone, but at least she lived a colorful life.

I used to watch her on TV when I was a little kid. She seemed like an aunt to me, and made me happy. I'll miss her. :(

She will be missed dearly.

I saw her family requested that those who enjoyed her shows, read her books and delighted in her personality, remember her at 7:00pm et by lifting a glass of their favorite wine in a toast of celebration of her life.

I, for one, will be joining in that celebration....
