How is recruitment going at MSU, KSU, OSU, and Auburn(2004)?

So recruitment has started and we have not heard any news-- well at least I haven't!! So is there anyone out there from the following schools that can let us know how things are going from the first few schools that have started....

Aug. 8-13: Mississippi State University
Aug. 8-14: Kansas State University
Aug. 9-14: Oklahoma State University
Aug. 9-15: Auburn University
Aug. 11-14: East Central University (Oklahoma)

Just antsy to hear some news!!!!!!

Some happy Auburn recruitment news

I have a friend going through rush at Auburn. This is her second rush--she recieved a bid, tried it, but didn't have her heart in it. But she kept her grades up and decided to give it another go. She knew she would get cut hard, but she kept an open mind. For round 2, she went to four houses, three of which she really likes. I mean, she had good things to say about all of them, but she could really see herself in three. So in her opinion, she is having a good rush! Round 2 cuts are tonight.

Things are going great here in Auburn! Round Three (Skit Day) is tommorow! :D

I was told today that as of yesterday (Friday the 13th) there were 666 women signed up for recruitment at the UofArizona. More registrations are expected before the deadline on Wednesday.

666 women as of Friday the 13th... that's creepy! I hope at least one more signs up!

Ran into a friend who has a daughter going through at Auburn. Today is bid day! The moms will all be there to help celebrate (is this done anywhere else?) Seems they had a couple days of rain and pnms were a little soggy. Friend said daughter didn't have an umbrella;)(guess she doesn't read GC.) Daughter had 3 invites for pref. and that she was leaning toward DZ. Can't wait to hear the news this afternoon.

pinkniki50 08-15-2004 01:45 PM

Bid Day at Oklahoma State University was yesterday and quota was 48. The Epsilon Nu chapter of Phi Mu extended 49 bids! Yay for all of our beautiful new phis!

Well, I tried to find results for the other chapters (AOPi, KD, KKG, Phi Mu, and ZTA), but the only result I could find is that the ADPi chapter at Georgia Southern University has 48 new members now! :)

shadokat 08-16-2004 10:16 AM

It's not results, but....
http://www.kstatecollegian.com/article.php?a=2296#

It's a nice story :)

Auburn University Recruitment Results...

AXO, ADPi, AGD, AOPi, XO, DDD, DG, DZ, Gamma Phi, KD, KKG, Phi Mu, Pi Phi, SK all pledged quota of 55.

Zeta pledged quota plus one... 56.

AZD missed quota.

AZ-AlphaXi 08-16-2004 11:47 AM

I just heard all the numbers from Auburn. Quota was
55, and Alpha Xi Delta is the only group that missed
it by any significant amount. However, don't feel sad
for us! -- Our chapter is ECSTATIC because they
matched 35 and snapped 6 for a total of 41 bids, of
which 36 were accepted. This is 12 more new members
than we had after formal recruitment last year, when
Quota was also 55!!! And aside from the numbers,
they're again an amazing group of new women, so our
chapter's confidence is WAY up and they're COR'ing
right now in the hopes of finding more new members of
the quality they're looking for.

We heard that Pi Phi matched to 50, so they'll be at
Quota in no time if they aren't already. All other
groups took Quota of 55; there were no Quota
Additions.

Our chapter was very happy with the way the new
release figures worked here!

Angels&Arrows 08-16-2004 02:49 PM

AZ-AlphaXi, Pi Phi matched 50 and Tri Delta matched 54, both missed quota... but are now at 55 with snap bids (or so I heard).

There must have been one quota addition, though... Zeta pledged 56.

Angels&Arrows 08-16-2004 02:54 PM

Mississippi State...

DG, Tri Delta, KD, Phi Mu made quota or quota plus...

Chi O missed quota (barely, but I do not have the exact number, and has possibly already snapped to quota).

Zeta -- I do not know?

I haven't, but according to the article, there were around 550 women going through with 11 chapters, so I'm guessing it was around 50.

Thanks for the info! I know that ADPi took quota plus 5, so that's why I was trying to find out about quota :)

bluefish81 08-19-2004 06:37 PM

Today's Bid Day at Iowa State University. 6 of the 13 chapters took quota, which was 23.
Theta did not take quota but has 20 wonderful new members. If I can get some more info about other chapters, I'll post it when I can.
