So ladies, it's nearly time for school to begin, and I thought it would be great if we could all share recruitment news about our chapters in this thread. I'm sure UGA and UF start soon, but what about other schools?

Well...I have the girls here bustin' butt (can I say that) signing people up left and right. We picked up a lot of freshmen right before chartering so they know a bunch of people coming in this year. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I just hope things don't get sticky, since we don't have an advisor and I KNOW for sure rules will be overlooked or broken. I could be wrong...I'm always thinking the worst.

ANYWAY, we have no VPR so I'm doing it for now. Is it bad I haven't gone out for stuff??? Our biggest thing is decorations, because the walls here always look so bare! I'm going this week with a few other girls, but other than that we just have plans and food.

I'm so glad we'll have help doing bid matching this year. That's a load off my shoulders. :)

It seems like its going to be one CRAZY month here in South Florida! :D

Ya I have been working myself to death working on recruitment and moving at the same time.. We found a craft store that was going out of business about 2 weeks ago and went gung ho-- got everything that we needed plus even more than we imagined for a little under 200, so we just have to make the stuff, and now we have a huge budget surplus... If anyone wants to know what I have up my sleeve, send me a PM and Ill fill u in, I just dont want to post our themes up here where anyone can see...

Psi at UGA is gearing up for Fall Recruitment; we're in the midst of work week and are looking forward to a wonderful new member class. This year, Psi will make D Phi E proud.


PS: greeneyedDPhiE says hi. She misses her internet, and I, her trusty roommate, will rectify the situation.

PPS: Love bonding with sisters, however, miss testosterone. Whoever knew work week could be so hard?

So far, it's going great! I'm not here very much (I'm in UGA's marching band) but I know that our skit is super cute, and we've met lots of wonderful women! I'll get my roomie to give a better report.

BTW- Beta Tau's (NOVA) Recruitment week is also from August 31- September 4...

We had one of our highest returns rates ever today for skit at Psi! Tomorrow is prefs and we hope for some amazing girls. It's tiring but in the end it will all be worth it come Bid Day. I'll keep you posted!

Psi at UGA had its highest ever return rate for prefs!! We had an amazing day and loved meeting all of the wonderful women. Tomorrow is Bid Day and we should know by midnight which girls have decided to become DPhiEs! Is anyone else having recruitment or work week? I would love to hear how the rest of the Deephers are doing.

School doesnt actually start for Queens College till the 27th of august

Formal rush days are

Monday Sept 27th
Tuesday Sept 28th
and

pref is the 30th

My first result :) Delta Kappa at University of Florida got quota +3 for 59 wonderful new Deephers!!

FAU, aren't you in the midst of recruitment? Others should start soon :)

NOVA & FAU's Recruitment begins THIS week...

as i get updates from them, i'll share them w/ you all...

BTW- from what the girls have told me, this is the BIGGEST recruitment EVER for both chapters...
(they are anticipating pledge classes of around 25-35 girls)

i can't wait 'till friday so i can drop in on FAU's pref night! :D

due to hurricane frances, NOVA & FAU's Recruitment have been postponed and rescheduled for next week!

I'm so nervous for my chapter (eta)! (excited nervous!) Recruitment is this coming weekend but I'm inactive this semester so I can't be there which is sooo disappointing! I used to hate hate hate recruitment time because its so scary sometimes, but after being on the sister side of 5 recruitments, I've come to really enjoy it. I can't wait to see how we do and how all the other chapters do!!

well. we dont even know if we are going to have a fall recruitment anymore. They still do not know when FAU is set to re-open. We got half-way through recruitment and then Wednesday, after the room was set up and the girls were set to enter, recruitment was called off due to the hurricane. It was pushed to this week, but then school is not open. Next week is the Jewish holiday. The Live Oak (where rush is held) is reserved for the rest of the semester, so right now panhellenic is trying to fund rooms and dates for recruitment. You can imagine how much this sucks.. I worked my butt off all summer on this, only to have it end up in the air. Anyway, we just now got power back so I wanted to give you all an update on our rush

They can't just up and cancel recruitment, can they? Jeez!!! Call your MRA :)

Well, I'm stressed...but too excited to feel it!!

Last year they had 35 girls sign up for formal recruitment.
Today over 60 girls will go through rush! We are so happy and running around like crazy buying extra stuff and ordering more food.

Nova (Beta Tau) met quota with 29 women
and DOUBLED their chapter! =)

Ok. Now that we have someone from hdqtrs. here I feel so much better. I really do enjoy their visits!

Out of the 67 girls that signed up and PAID, only 35 showed. I would be pissed off with myself if I paid for something and didn't show up!

I'm good though. I freak out every now and then, but I'm getting a lot more help with this than I thought.

Alpha Gamma Update:

last night we welcomed the Delta Eta New Member class which is comprised of 44 (quota +2) amazingly wonderful women into the wonderful world of D Phi E!

(i know Omega also met quota and received bonus additions, but once i get the final numbers ill also post those here!)

Congrats Ladies..... we are DEFINITELY Setting the Standard!

Hey all, Omega (U of Miami) took 38 (quota +2). Beta Tau (Nova) took 29 (quota). Gamma Alpha (Southern Illinois - Edwardsville)took 16, and Gamma Beta is delayed b/c of Hurricane.

As SheenaBo mentioned, we hard our bid day today!

We met quota plus 3! A total of 11 women, so we are super excited

All that stress was well worth it!

Alpha Epsilon (Kennesaw State) got 21 new members (quota was 22). We are so excited about our new girls. They are the greatest!

FYI, just heard about FAU, and they got quota plus one for 19 new members! Way to go florida ladies :)
