Rose = Something good that happened to you this week Bud = Something You're looking forward to in the next week Thorn = Something not so great that happened in the last week For example: Rose = Paid all my bills Bud = Both kids go back to college this week Thorn = Both kids go back to college this week Surely you younger DGs have more interesting roses, buds & thorns!:D |

Rose- I spent an amazing weekend at the lake with my roomate and two other best friends from school! Bud-I get to go back to school soon!! Thorn- I'm going through an appeal process at the Community College for my summer class becuase my 90 year old teacher gave half our class Ds. Its not looking good |
Here's mine (and yes, I'm cheating):
Rose1: I got my Law School Schedule and got 2 of the Profs. that I wanted! (I'm a 1L--we don't choose our schedules or our Profs.) Rose 2: My summer class group finished our power point and 20 pg. paper last night :) Rose 3: Today was the first weekday since sometime in May that I didn't have to be somewhere by 8:30 AM (I HEART SLEEPING IN) Bud 1: I'm going back home for my '5 day summer vacation' on Friday. Bud 2: I'll be done with all of my Social Work classes for a whole year on Wednesday Thorn: My group still has to turn in our final group paper and give a 20 min. presentation on said Wednesday. Hope everyone else has a good week. ITB, Robyn |
Rose: I got to spend time with a wonderful sister during my vacation!!
Bud: I have Substitute Teaching orientation next Wednesday. Thorn: None at the moment! I guess that could be a ROSE! |
Rose = On Vacation from work and hanging out with my buddies and my grandbig (his bday)
Bud = I have soccer tryouts coming up next week Thorn = I was called to Jury Duty this week :( (got out of it though!) |
Well ladies my non-thorn moment is over, unfortunately....
I'm sorry to say that my thorn is that one of my chapter sister's dad died yesterday in a car accident. :( Please pray for her and her family! |

Rose- I'm back at school with my BEST FRIENDS! and living in the house with my twin and my Lil is right down the hall! Bud- Next Thursday is BID DAY! Thorn- Not loving work week...just hate being stressed and everyone arguing. It'll pass, but its a pain in the butt. |
Rose: i just finished my last class of my undergraduate career yesterday and found out i made and A in the class! Also, i got a new awesome cell phone that i'm excited about!
Bud-I'm going to a volleyball game tonight, which i love! Thorn-i just got back from the dentist and my mouth hurts really bad. |
Rose: I got a nice compliment today on my figure today by one of the (male) aerobics instructors at the gym
Bud: I'm looking forward to hearing about if I have a new job and can find out if I can move back to Vancouver or not. Thorn: A year ago today, I embarked on a promising romance that ended very abruptly. I miss communicating with this person so very much and I am feeling very sad about it today in particular. |
rose: my roomate bought us AWESOME new couches from sofa express
bud: my birthday is friday thorn: the one year anniversary of a high school friend's death (killed in a car accident) and on the same day (aug 8) a friend's dad died.. |
it's a new day, so i have more roses buds and thorns!
rose: it's payday and one of my articles made the front page of the paper (i'm a reporter for a local paper) bud: i get to spend the weekend with one of my sisters! thorn: it's not friday:( |

Rose: My buddy just got back from Cancun.. so now we can run together again AND I was able to work out with very little pain today (messed up tendons) Bud:Can't wait to get my pay check and make something cute for my friends bday Thorn: My sisters very good friend/coworker was found dead somewhere in some forest near LA after going to a rave.. :( RIP |

Rose - Eta welcomed 11 wonderful new members this weekend! Rose - The Browns beat the Ravens 20-3 in their first regular season game!!!! Bud - My boyfriend and I are celebrating 1 year on Saturday! Bud - I am subbing at a school this Friday (Kindergarten)...it makes me happy since I know ahead of time! Thorn - I have to be at my regular job on Saturday at 5am to fulfill a HUGE catering order by 6:30am :eek: |
rose: i got to see the beautiful ladies of eta kappa in between open house and house tours and they are absolutely amazing! plus, the house looks awesome! i even took them a dozen white roses and a dozen pink roses.
bud: i have an interview tomorrow for a job i REALLY want, and i'm so nervous about it, every time i think of it i get butterflies in my stomach. thorn: my car wouldn't start this weekend. |
Rose : I have TONS of sub jobs coming up!!
Bud : I'm going to be an Aunt once again...come June!!!!! Thorn : My car is a piece of crap! I was sick this weekend, yuck! and unfortunately my uncle passed away on Friday. |
Rose: I bought an old song book off of the internet, and it finally came today! It's a fourth edition, and it's from 1942! The original owner has her name written in the front cover, with the date of December 13, 1942. It's so neat seeing all of the old songs! I love it!!

Buds: Aidan is starting to take his first steps! I started a web site for alumnae of my chapter, and we have 61 minutes so far! Thorns: My in-laws got back together...believe me...NOT good aj |

Rose: I got a phat raise tonight at work! I'll be making the same amount at Job #2 that I do subbing so I'm excited!!!
Rose: We have our Grand Opening this weekend for work. Bud: I've been asked by the Chapter Advisor of Theta Beta (Case Western) to help with recruitment at the end of January!! Bud: My big is moving back to Cleveland from Maryland and wants to get involved in the Alum chapter so now I'll get to see her more often!! No Thorns! Life is good right now!! |
Rose: I start my internship on Tuesday! This is the last thing I have to do before graduation, and I will be interning until the beginning of May. I will be interning in the Opelika City School District, doing a bunch of stuff, like working with school counselors, social workers and parent coordinators. I'm going over there tommorow to meet everyone. I'm kinda nervous about starting, so send good thoughts my way!

Rose: I recieved my acceptance yesterday to Appalachian State University. I'm going to grad school!!

Rose: I'm sitting in the Paris Hilton hotel and my room overlooks the Eiffer Tower.

Rose: I just got offered two jobs in one day!!! A 3rd grade position and a 5th grade position. :-)
I finished student teaching in December of 04 and taught two back to back interim jobs (5th and 2nd grades), so this will be my first OFFICIAL year of teaching...I'm thrilled!! I don't know which one to pick...I'm leaning towards the 5th grade because it's on the team I student taught with (and I **LOVE** them); but 3rd would be fun to (just in different ways). |

Marie! I can't believe you were on this side of the atlantic and we didn't get together! I'm sorry I missed you. Anyway, we had a Germany DG get together in Frankfurt and it was awesome! Just thought I would share!
