KatieKate's WVUIT Recruitment Thread!
 

Hello everyone! I am rushing this fall at WVUIT (Also known as WVU Tech.) I have two most lovely organizations to chose from: Delta Zeta and Alpha Sigma Tau.

However, I have not been able to learn much about Greek life there! I know rush is September-ish, but that's about it! If anyone knows more, or where I can learn more, let me know!

Good luck! I rushed at a school that had 2 sororities (now 3!) and knew nothing about Recruitment either... just that I wanted to go through with it! lol. Luckily I got word that it started the first week! (Maybe try doing a search on their website for sororities?)

I did a search on thw website and found next to nothing! I looked up sorority, the individual sororities, Greek Life, Rush, Greek Life office, Greek recruitment, recruiment. I found a nice assortment of ROTC recruitment articles, however. :p When you search my school's website, most of the results are articles from the school paper, so I did find some articles that gave a "sneak peek" into the Greek life on campus, which was pretty cool. But nothing on rush, really.

Good luck with recruitment :) I'm sure you'll find out plenty of intormation about recruitment when you get to campus :D I searched you school's site and couldn't find anything.

Thanks for helping search the school's website! But it just looks I'll have to wait to find out about rush when I get to school (which starts Aug. 23, btw.)

I found a listing of campus organizations under Clubs and Organizations. The page, updated March 1, 2004, says that AST is recognized, but that Delta Zeta, while still operating, is not. You can check it out. There are also phone #s on the page you can try.

Neither of the chapters on your campus seem to have websites listed on their national sites.

I called the dean of STudent Services this afternoon, but just got voicemail. I'll try to call back next week.

I just found out what I needed to know about rush! I talked to the Dean of Student Services. He said because there are only two sororities on campus, they do an informal rush, which is usually within the first two weeks of school beginning.

I start school Monday (move into the dorms Friday). Since it's informal rush at my school, I'll let you all know what happens ASAP! You all have been so great!

There are some informal events for recruitment this week, but I'm guessing it will be some time before anything really happens. Thanks for all the support!:)

best wishes for a great evening. tailor your outfit to what the activity is(if you know). if you don't know, then a nice pair of pants and a cute , conservative top. no club attire!!and of course, a big smile!!
