Mary Kay LeTourneau, the elementary school teacher whose affair with her former student Vili Fualaau produced two daughters, will be set free on Wednesday after spending almost seven years in jail for second-degree rape.

Who thinks they get back together?

She had a nice middle class life with a husband and 4 children. Lady has got to be crazy to have done something like this.

I feel bad for her first family. I especially feel bad for her first 4 children.

They were talking to one of her friends on the news this morning and he said that he believes that she will want to be with him again. But she can not persue him, he has to get the court order or something taken off so that they can see each other. I don't know if he will do this. I say why not...he is 21 now so it is not against the law or anything.

Well I just don't understand what a grown a$$ woman would see in a 6th grader. I'm sure they'll try to get back together. Otherwise all of the drama they went through would be for nothing.:rolleyes:

I just read a very long article on this (the movie was on Lifetime last night) and he is going to get the court order taken off if for no other reason than so they can be with their kids together. If it was still on it would be a pain in the ass for them (they couldn't talk on the phone, etc etc).

It will be interesting to see if they reunite.

That woman is just crazy & he's just a lazy good for nothing. Let them have their life together as long as it doesn't cost the taxpayers anything.

That woman is no lady. She is a child molester and a pedophile.
Her actions has reaked havoc not only on ex-husband, her children from her previous marriage, the new children with she created with her victim, the victim himself, and his family.

Because she had an additional child with her victim, she should have received additional jail time. It's ridiculous that she's being released back into society. There's no guarantee that given the opportunity she won't attempt to molested another child. She should be barred from having contact with her children, teaching, her victim, and anything involving children period.

She was supposed to teach him schooling though, not sexuality.

She had a family already, a husband and 4 kids... and she chose to leave that for a kid not even in high school?

It just grosses me out.

i read about some of the letters she sent him illegally while she was in jail. that woman is one sick thing.

Why not? Because he would be going back to the person who molested him. If the sexes were reversed in this situation would you be so quick to say to say this is okay? This adult man is psychologicially scarred because of actions of this sick woman. She not only had one but two children with him. The court order should stay in place. The victim needs to have an opportunity to heal and thrive in a life that does not involve contact with his attacker.

Did he tell you he was scarred from this?

The above article states that Vili has suffered from alcoholism and depression in the years after her imprisonment. But can we really prove that the sexual relationship was the cause of these things? It sounds like he didn't have too great of a life even before Mary Kay got her claws into him. Plus, there's always the possibility that he spiraled into depression BECAUSE of the separation from his lover.

Personally, I'd say he's crazy to go back to her... but people do really strange things for love or their bizarr-o interpretation of love.

You're making assumptions. Yeah the lady had to have problems but that doesn't mean she molested the kid. Maybe the kid just wanted to get some.

Someone said something about them possibly getting back together... I doubt it. The kid was 12, she was what? 34? Sexual prime for a woman. Now that he's 21, he doesn't want a 43 year old. A 43 and a 21 year old is just about as sick as a 34 and a 12 year old. Well.... not really.. but yeah.

Men and women are different. You can't judge us by the same social standards.

I am quite willing to accept the idea that society views a vagina as a Pot of Gold at the End of the Rainbow. Something that should be protected and valued. Since all the boys want your pot of gold it makes sense that we have social pressures to both protect it and keep you from lightly giving some away.

Conversely, there is no premuim on the penis. The penis is more like a common garden hoe. Nothing special really. Not something that needs to be protected, in fact boys are willing to use their hoe in a many gardens as absolutely possible Like a public service offering . . . Anyway, society views male sexuality very differently than female sexuality. So legally a boy in puberty can be molested by a good looking woman, but mentaly? Maybe not.

Remember, in our society the woman's pot of gold has to be protected . . . even from her own desires.

I don't think so . . . i think in mainstream traditional society women are given moe conditions about their sexuality than men. Also, a lot more guilt. i am not saying its a good thing.

He went to court this morning and filed to have the no contact order lifted and said on tv that he loved her. Our local news reporters seem to be falling all over themselves to talk to her.

I just wish it would all go away..............I mean it was even on Entertainment Tonight.

Her first family lives in Alaska and I guess the kids visited her in prison a couple times a year and the children she had with Vili visited every other week.
