The Two Americas

I'm afraid that it John-John's vision of two Americas is realized (and elected), they'll see it as an excuse to double my taxes.

I hope they force you to go back to school and learn to not be a pompous ass.

XOXOHTH.

I have my politics and my views & I know who I'm voting for but I think I would rather not state my views for the simple reason that there is always someone ready to attack.

hoosier 08-01-2004 01:19 PM

"XOXOHTH."???

"XOXOHTH."

Judging by the tone of the message, I assume this has nothing to do with "Hugs and kisses"??????

I didn't think so either. I'd love to take a stance on these boards but I don't feel I have to defend my views to any of the people who are lined up and ready to attack. However, good for you b/c you were brave enough to say what you feel.

moe.ron 08-01-2004 01:45 PM

Chill with personal attacks.

If you can read, can post something to back up your thoughts, and can think instead of just putting opinions out there and acting like their facts and getting upset that people won't accept your opinions, then you will be fine.

Another reason to stay out of Democrat/Republican mudfights...

and laugh...

...and occasionally throw mud at a liberal...

Sorry, couldn't help it. :)

I think he/she means that even if they posted a thoughtful and well researched viewpoint there would still be people on here that would try to kill the messenger because they don't like the message.

Not everyone likes to mix it up as much as you do in a personal tit for tat.

Really? I would like to see who feels that way after posting "a thoughtful and well researched viewpoint".

Is that good or bad?

If John Kerry is elected I won't have as much incentive to make money. Why should all of our rich people have to pay for the people that either chose to live a life of poverty or simply didn't have the raw material? It's not their fault.

Some people just lend themselves to being exploited better than others.

I don't understand why you would have less incentive to make money if John Kerry is elected.

Well tax rates affect the level at which people work really. On top of that most people are hedging in the markets by investing in debt rather than equities just in case Kerry would win.

Well, I'm bouncy and occasionally get excited - I hope that's not a bad thing.

This has nothing to do with tits, but you owe me a beer because I signed a petition to keep the Libertarian party on the ballot in PA.

Because he wants to take more of my money. If I'm punished for making money, why should I want to work as hard?

Kerry is the difference between me having to work January through May for the gov't or January through June once I get through with school.
