So it is once again time to play.... I know SOMETHING you don't KNOW!!!

I know how much we all loved the last time we played this...

For those that are new to this forum I'll explain... it is really simple... I know something you don't know is just that! You all try to figure out what I know that you don't know! It's fun... let's play! I would ask that all guesses be PM to me please. I will post the answer on Thursday, August 5th at 5:30 PM, so stay tuned!

For those who don't remember or didn't play... it is a game. I know something that no one else knows... you all try to figure it out.... by playing twenty questions... or by me giving clues... or by you PMing me with your guess!

Then on Thursday, August 5th... I will post the secret that I know that no one else knows!!!

BTW, on a related note, what do your chapters sing during a candlepass? Mine sings the song that starts "It only takes a spark..." (I'm blanking on the name of it right now); are you supposed to sing that or Candle Lighting Time?



ETA...I just realized this is post #1998 for me - the year I became an Alpha Gam! :D

You sing "Candlelighting Time".

The first time around is for best wishes.
The second time around is for pinned or lavaliered.
The third time around is for pearled or pre-engaged.
The fourth time around is for engaged.

We also do a fifth time around at a wedding and it's done during the reception. The bride and groom are in the center and all of the Alpha Gams gather around them on the dance floor. (I've been to at least a dozen sister's weddings and it's just beautiful.)

For our advisors, we added one more time around for someone expecting a baby.

And FYI, you sing the song ONCE and then hum it softly the next time(s) around.

Thanks ladies for all the congrats... it is a wonderful feeling.

At least until this past week... J and I are still fine, houseplans are moving along, stilll trying to figure out how "big" of a wedding we are having... you know the basics...

J has had his home broken into (DEC 03) and then his truck was broken into two weeks ago (they only took 2 dollars in change)... I haven't had anything taken in all these break ins... no I just lose the really valuable items...

So if anyone is looking on ebay and come across a Saphire (the blue stone) and Gold Cross... please let me know! I can't find that or my diamond earrings that J gave me... I guess God or somebody decided that I had too many pretty things! :confused: :(

I am now a married lady
 

So J and I got hitched over the weekend. I thought it would be werid to be a married lady but it isn't so weird. Only problem is that J has had to put up with new family-in-laws during this first week of marriage. It is okay... we are going on a cruise sometime after the new year... when it is all cold up here.

Thank yous to everyone who said a prayer for us over the last year!
