In this thread, we have an important business meeting.

Let's talk about the latest and greatest in the industry. We should alter our paradigm so that we can be more proactive as an organization. We need a soup-to-nuts solution. Let's think outside the box!

sugar and spice 07-20-2004 03:28 PM

We need to talk about your TPS reports. Uh, did you get that memo? It's just that we're putting new coversheets on all the TPS reports before now before they go out now. So I'd really appreciate it if you could just remember to do that from now on. That'd be great.

amycat412 07-20-2004 03:29 PM

We need to talk about which scribe to hire and which helmer will lens the next pic.

OK, can someone make a note of that in the minutes? We'll address it during new business.

I'd like to recommend a more cost-efficient vendor for our coffee in the breakroom, can someone get me a point by point breakdown of what we're paying now?

mu_agd 07-20-2004 03:32 PM

has the fuckin' termsheet been agreed to and signed yet?

Lil' Hannah 07-20-2004 03:33 PM

That's not very professional language to be using in this important meeting.

sugar and spice 07-20-2004 03:34 PM

Let's fire her!

mu_agd 07-20-2004 03:34 PM

well shit, it's everyday language in my office. "typical vc terms" is what we call them! :D

Lil' Hannah 07-20-2004 03:35 PM

We'll have to take it up with HR. Moving right along...

BirthaBlue4 07-20-2004 03:40 PM

Can someone provide the forecast for the cost analysis of employing an outside marketing firm to handle our advertising, or is Bob going to keep printing up those flyers on the Paint program?

KSigkid 07-20-2004 03:50 PM

Why does it say there's a paper jam when there's no paper jam?

will there be beer?

Tom Earp 07-20-2004 04:18 PM

What?????????????????????? The Hell are you all talking about???????????????

Is this a normal language!

I am the Boss, I am a Great Boss!

Been out of the Corporate shit can for many years, Whew!:D

Have a nice evening!:)

BirthaBlue4 07-20-2004 04:21 PM

PSHAW!!! Of course there will NOT be beer, this is a strict business meeting. You need to consult Chapter 9567, Section 238, Article 2228, Paragraph 990, Line 3 of the Employee Directives to reaquaint yourself with our policy on alcoholic beverages during brunches that are subsequently followed by luncheons at Denny's before productivity meetings. I am appalled and outraged.

*Whispers*But on the real, Mark drove the van today, the keg is in the back...

Tom Earp 07-20-2004 04:41 PM

OOOOH, that was what was Great about working for a Winery, A Distillary, and then a Wholesaler of Spirits!

We did not have Cocktail luncheons!:D

Yep, otay butt wheat!:D

I know this is just a business meeting and that the board meeting isn't until later but I'd like to discuss the following resoultion today in hopes that we can pass it at the next board meeting.

WHEREAS, that the purpose of the break room and the internet is to provide fun and entertainment to our employees; and

WHEREAS, the best way to have fun while bored at work is to chat with your friends, watch classic movies like Clueless and Legally Blonde, and hang out on GC;

WHEREAS, the company and the employees desire to be able to have fun at work by watching fun movies and surfing the internet when they are bored;

BE IT RESOLVED, The Amendment to the Greekchat bylaws presented at this meeting, pursuant to which the bylaws provisions pertaining to fun in the breakroom and on the internet is hereby approved.

_Opi_ 07-20-2004 04:47 PM

I think we should get a raise.

2% maybe?

This sounds like a turnkey solution. Can you be a team player and make this happen?

Umm, this is legislation that is on the floor for a vote and is not yet approved. There needs to be a second on the motion on the floor.

*SECOND*

*mumbles*And you call yourself a lawyer :D

That really was a killer ap you developed last quarter. Let's see how it affects the bottom line, schedule some face time, and we can talk about adding a few more zeros to that salary.

i can make sure it will happen by go-time.

Lil' Hannah 07-20-2004 05:04 PM

I'm going to have to excuse myself from the meeting...as much as I'd like to keep my nose to the grindstone here and burn the midnight oil, I was really firing on all cylinders today, so I'm going to get some R&R. I hope to continue this very important discussion first thing tomorrow.

Thrillhouse 07-20-2004 06:44 PM

I have eight bosses, eight Bob!

Peaches-n-Cream 07-20-2004 06:53 PM

I just watched Legally Blonde. Funny stuff.

winneythepooh7 07-20-2004 07:02 PM

I wanna be in business. Liquid lunches!

No need for beer. I'll just go get the margarita mix outa my desk drawer and mix some up for us in the break room. Then Lil Hannah can stay and we can all get some R&R! Who's up for some?

Munchkin03 07-20-2004 07:22 PM

What happened to my Quark files?

"Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately."

"I wouldn't say I've been missing it, Bob!"

that has to be... THE best movie EVER made. :D

amgn253 07-20-2004 09:48 PM

Sorry I'm late. I had a job interview. Nailed it!

valkyrie 07-20-2004 10:50 PM

I didn't expect to find a salesman drinking coffee this late in the morning. How long you been here, Joe?
Oh, I don't know, I guess thirty, forty-five minutes maybe. Why do you ask?
You must be making a lot of sales, piling up good income.
Oh... uh... I'm doing all right. I could do better, but... Ohahaha I get it Paul. Back on that old "Time is Money" kick, right?
Not back on it, Joe, still on it.

Lil' Hannah 07-21-2004 08:19 AM

Alright guys, let's bring it in. Another day, another dollar. OK well it looks like Birtha's forecast has been shelved for now, but I'd like a dog and pony show on it for the next meeting. We'll do some number crunching...there may not be a need to reinvent the wheel. mu-agd, are you making any headway on that beer situation?

i have been running numbers on a few different brews and believe it would be in the company's best interest to go with the amstel light. if you let me know what time it is needed, i will make sure the distributors have it here. i will them make sure that accounts payable receives the invoice.

Okay, well I've got a meeting with the shareholders today, I'll run it up the flagpole and see if they salute. I'd imagine we'd need it by the close of business on Friday.

Well, in a given day I do about 15 minutes of work.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 07-21-2004 09:20 AM

Look as far as these travel orders go, I'm really going to need you guys to be on the ball on this one and make sure the numbers for accouting are documented.
