What degrees did youwant?

Beside the current degree you have or the degree you are working on.

I always wanted a degree in either anthrolopolgy and history and master in conservation.

TheEpitome1920 07-14-2004 03:27 PM

Masters in Higher Education Administration
Ph.D in Sociology/African American Studies

AOIIBrandi 07-14-2004 04:22 PM

M.B.A. and J.D.

Cluey 07-14-2004 04:26 PM

I want a Ph.D. in Higher Education. There's also a part of me that would like to get a J.D.

opaldragon 07-14-2004 05:10 PM

Bachelors in Communications emphasis in Public Relations, which I could still get but that would require an extra 2yrs as an undergrad.
So instead, hoping for a Masters in Communications and a JD after that.

IowaStatePhiPsi 07-14-2004 06:34 PM

I'm currently getting a history minor but if I get my way I'll turn around after graduation and come back for a history major.

the social science teaching certificate program is being phased out so I can only get a minor in history in with the time I have left- if I had started on the program the year before then I would have been fine with getting my hist. courses in.

After that: masters in higher education and maybe a PhD later on?
I may be getting an honorary doctorate in motivation when I graduate anywho.

Building conservation or ecological conservation? I'm getting my degree in the former.

I SHOULD have gotten a Bachelors of Architecture, but I'll settle for a Master of Architecture and a PhD in the History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture.

AOIIsilver 07-14-2004 11:47 PM

If I could add to what I have/am working on, it would definitely be a Master of Divinity with ordination.....

Master in higher education and a J.D degree

Taualumna 07-15-2004 12:24 AM

1. B.A. in Art History or Classical Studies

2. LLB (Bachelor of Laws)/JD (I think the University of Toronto is the only Canadian university that gives JDs to law grads (instead of LLBs). According to the school, they haven't changed anything in their program other than the degree's name) combined with an MBA

AlphaFrog 07-15-2004 12:35 AM

Music Performance (Vocal)

SigkapAlumWSU 07-15-2004 03:20 AM

JD and Environmental Conservation. Instead I'm getting Communication (PR) with a minor in Hospitality and business managment. And yes, none of those degrees have really anything to do with each, which is probably why I would do it, so I wouldn't get bored. I think the others are just things I'm interested in, and if I had time and money, I'd do it.

Art Conservation with emphisis on ethnographic/archaeological conservation.

I love old stuff. :)

ZTAngel 07-15-2004 08:42 AM

1. MBA- I'll get it eventually when I feel like going back to school.
2. Bachelors of Fashion Marketing/Merchandising- They didn't offer this degree at my school. I think the closest schools to me that offer it are FSU and UGA. I would have LOVED to major in this since my ultimate goal is to work in the fashion industry. (My dream job is to be a buyer for Bloomingdales or another high-end department store)

KSigkid 07-16-2004 02:12 PM

Thought briefly about becoming an opthomologist (my eye doctor was excellent, made me think about getting into the field).

Also thought briefly of being a lawyer or a high school history teacher at times.

DawnDZ 07-16-2004 03:03 PM

Fashion or psychology.... instead I chose sports science...

astroAPhi 07-16-2004 03:31 PM

B.A. in French Language (or at least a minor)
B.S. in Astrophysics or Space Science, but I decided one rocket scientist degree was enough
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering

What I'm actually going to do is get a M.S. in Space Systems. Maybe I'll eventually get the M.S. in Aerospace, but right now I'm a little sick of it.

Rollergirl2001 07-18-2004 02:44 PM

I wanted to get a degree in Sociology, but I got a C in one of the classes in my sophomore year, and I got discouraged. I wanted to major in art in the beginning of my college years (to get my masters in Fashion Design), but the supplies cost too much money and I went undecided for a year. So I'm majoring in psychology and minoring in English. If I had took Japanese earlier, then I would have minored in Japanese.

I'm going to grad school to get my masters in creative writing.

piphimaggie 07-18-2004 03:55 PM

It's between an MFA and a JD

preciousjeni 07-18-2004 04:26 PM

M.B.A.
J.D.
Ph.D. in English - concentration: Non-European Southeastern American Literature (African American, Appalachian, Asian American, Native American, etc.) - the good non-canonized stuff!

Rio_Kohitsuji 07-18-2004 04:57 PM

I would LOVE to get a degree in Native American Anthropology.

OMGoodness! I want to tag along and find all lost writings that the Europeans tried to completely destroy!! I know they exist because I've seen one Mayan book that the Spanish overlooked. I know there are more around!!

AUDeltaGam 07-18-2004 09:20 PM

I wish I was getting a degree in Interior Design...

moe.ron 07-19-2004 05:14 AM

I also would have loved to get to study musical theory. Do not have the talent though. Guess I'll just appreciate my favorite musicians.

If you ever want to appreciate music again, don't take music theory...you can no longer just sit and listen to music without analyzing the crap out of it.

AEPhiSierra 07-19-2004 02:30 PM

After I finish undergrad I will be getting a Masters in Urban Planning. Eventually maybe I'll get a PhD

I would love to get some kind of degree in religious studies because I am fascinated by all religions.

tnxbutterfly 07-26-2004 09:31 PM

1) B.S in Human Resorces Management- I'm taking a certificate workshop right now and I'm loving it

2) Wish I would have majored in Education when I was at Tech. I could have been a teacher by now

3) M.L.I.S (Master's in Library Science)

Shima-Mizu 08-01-2004 08:20 PM

I wouldn't mind having a B.S. in Computer Science to add on...

bethany1982 08-04-2004 07:47 PM

JD
MA and Ph.D in European History with a focus on early Spain.

seraphimsprite 08-04-2004 09:16 PM

In my fantasy world where I could have as many degrees as I want without any additional costs or time I would have (in addition to my current BS):

Bachelors in flute and/or piano performance
BA in Classics

I'm planning on getting an MPH (Masters in Public Health)

I'd love a JD and a Masters in Education

Oh and PhDs in Political Science and Latin

Clearly I need to figure out what I want to do with myself.

emleepc 08-05-2004 05:21 PM

1. Master's in Marketing to go with my BBA in Marketing
2. Vocal Performance
3. Counseling/Psychology
4. Graphic Design

Ginger 08-05-2004 05:39 PM

1. Bachelor's in Museum Studies
2. MLIS w/ Archival Science certificate
-or-

3. Bachelors/Masters in Student Affairs/Administration

I was going down the first path before I left school, except my school didn't offer a bachelors in Museum Studies, so I was going for a History major.
