Only rushed 1 house?
 

I know everyone's going to want to reply with "you should rush many houses to see what suits you best" but I'm actually just interested in seeing if there are any out there who like me only rushed one house and were initiated into it?

I did. A bit of a unique situation though. I was part of a colonization/chapter founding. We were recruited through means other than formal rush. I had made up my mind at the time that fraternities were only good for getting you flunked out of school.

I only rushed one and that's the one I got :)

I actually had one house rush me. I had no intention of joining a fraternity. If it hadn't been for that particular group of guys, I wouldn't have.

I only rushed one house. I had some friends in my dorm who were Alpha Phis, and they said I should come to COB. So I did, and I loved it. I always liked sororities, but I never thought I could be in one. I'm a charter member, and a lot of the sisters from my new member class and the ones before me thought the same thing. They never considered joining a sorority, but they just fell in love with the organization!

I only rushed ADPi. I never considered joining a sorority until my roommate joined ADPi. When I saw that a "normal" girl like her could be in a sorority I thought maybe I could be too. I joined, and though it was a bumpy journey at times, I am glad I did.

I was originally signed up to go through Formal Recruitment in January of my sophomore year (my school is deferred). I went to a Kappa COB party before Formal began and knew that Kappa was where I belonged! I accepted my bid in December then helped the chapter during Formal in January... so I had the best of both worlds! I would not change my decision for anything. But my words of wisdom are that you should only rush one house if you have looked at all the other options! :)

i also rushed one house in the spring and never thought i would join a sorority..i didn't even know what sororities and fraternities did,let alone to join one.But i did and im glad I did and i wouldn't change a damn thing.I loved those girls when i first walked into their house and they made me feel comfortable and special,it was cool.:D

I only rushed one house seriously - looked a bit at a couple other houses, but when it came down to it I only really rushed Kappa Sig. It worked out pretty well I'd say.

I also only rushed one Fraternity. I realy had no intention of being in a Fraternity, but now I don't know how I lived without it. I was convinced to check it out by a freind who was already in, and had a buddy who pledged with me so It was alot of fun. I am closer with my pledge brothers than I am with freinds from highschool that I have known for many years.

I too only rushed one house. I actually had every intention of rushing Chi-O (because a close friend from high school was a sister), but I never made it out of the ADPi house. I knew after my first night there that ADPi was for me. I recieved and accepted my bid the following night.

i only rushed one house because PIKE is all that matters, and i was initiated.

I only rushed Lambda Chi. It was fate I guess. I walked in and before I even talked to anyone I knew it was where I belonged. The vibe was right. I dont regret a minute of it. I had met some guys from other houses (outside of rush and just wasnt that impressed).

There was only 1 sororiy on campus when I rushed. So that was my only choice. I didn't have a problem with that though. I fell in love the girls and with Pi Phi the moment I met them.

There might be another sorority on campus now.

Double legacy to Sigma Chi Fraternity so only one.

However, I did visit a few chapters for the free beer. (Back when beer could be served during rush.) :D

I looked at the 4 houses on campus, then rushed only one. Zeta Tau Alpha was it and I never looked back. Sometimes you just know in your heart where "home" is. :D

ADPi was the only sorority I went to a COR event for. I love all the sororities on campus, but ADPi was the only choice for me.

I knew when I transfered to my new school it was delta zeta or nothing. I had rushed at my previous school before I transfered and got delta zeta there. I Knew DZ was right for me. I love my sisters, and I have made some of the best friends.

I only rushed one house too. A couple of friends and I were walking around and saw the sign for what was then the local sorority and I didn't know what it was if it was an actual sorority or what. I had no knowledge of greek life at the time in fact I had no idea what a bid even was. Well me being spontaneous and crazy and my two friends went to check it out. Well they are both black and they didn't see any other black people in there and so they were like "hey go check it out and tell us about it" so I did and I didn't think I would get a bid and was unsure of what I was going to do whether I was going to go through with it or not well little did I know the next night there would be about 5 sisters at my door to hand me my bid. I started jumping up and down saying "I'm a sorority chick now!" and the rest is history so yes I rushed one house too and am so glad I did.

I joined a colony, so I only "rushed" Delta Gamma :D
