I missed the going to be a series piece but I did like it. Just trying to figure out who the baby daddy is right about now.

I like it very much....i was just waiting for them to say TAKEN....which I loved also.

This is a series and not a mini-series?

yeah, the next episode comes on next sunday. it was announced as "USA Orignal Series". nothing about a miniseries.

And that little girl is like the one from TAKEN as well, but she's extremely creepy......

Yes, Joel Gretsch (Tom Baldwin, 4400) played Major Owen Crawford in Taken. When I first saw him, I was thinking "what you can only get roles in alien abduction movies?" :p . I just hope that he does not turn out to be a bad guy.

You know this girl doesn't at all remind me of Dakota Fannings character in Taken (Allie Keys). The little girl in 4400 is much more ominous, I think she knows more than she's letting on.

Ok another USA series that I like, I hope it lasts a while so we can get some answers. Now I have to remember to actually watch it (my tv viewing remembering skills turns off during the summer), like I have to remember to watch BB5 and Amazing Race.

Now if they'd only bring back Paradise Hotel (guilty pleasure from last year), I'll be a happy girl :D

OMG I was freaked out by her too... Poor girl, she will always be known as the freking CREEPY girl all her life, LOL... Is this gonna be 2 hours each week? I am excited it is a series.

So, um, what's it about?

Um, it is a little hard to describe... they have a site, but I guess the best way to put is that 4400 people are abducted by something, aliens, whatever, and they come back and some have powers. It is good though, and it kept my attention for 2 hours which is impressive considering it is a tv show.

i was so confused when it wasn't a movie! after 1hr and 45minutes had passed, my roommate and i were wondering where the closure was...and then we saw the little thing at the bottom of the screen. of course, now we're hooked.

i wanna know who the baby's daddy is too!

also- did anyone else watch law & order: svu after it?

the boy...the one with the uncle that works for homeland security, the high-schooler...i forget his name...but anyway- he was on the episode of SVU that came on after it.

i've been wondering who the babys father is for days now. I'm hoping its an alien, cause that would make for some serious craziness. Or maybe its the baby of the guy her grandmother had an affair with. I really dont' have a clue, but when i find out i'm goign to look like :eek:

I said something like that when watching the show with my dad...he pointed out there are 4400 people returned, and therefore, 4400 stories to tell....although I don't know if I can relate to 4400 people...generally a series hooks people because they can sympathize with a spesifc character/characters. What would Friends have been if they picked a different set of "friends" every few episodes. The only series I think of that did that and was somewhat sucsessful was MTV's Undressed....

I think that this can last as a real show if they focus on the agents and maybe a handful of the Returnees. Maybe each episode can be about a different Returnee and their issues. Like Law & Order or something.

Yeah, like tell one story each episode...


Also, did anyone else wonder why the guy was so mean to his wife on the porch? Like, why after 11 years of not seeing your wife, would you not accept her? Something must have happened, and I hope they delve into it, b/c it has been bothering me.

No... he's just a d*ck. :mad:

He'd mourned the loss of his wife (we hope!), raised a baby on his own for at least a little while, got remarried, had another child, moved on... and all of a sudden his first wife is on the doorstep telling their daughter she's Mommy, when said daughter believed his second wife was Mommy. I can see where he would be conflicted... but that is still no excuse for how he treated her. He should at least have come to her when the returnees were being picked up, and explained the situation.

There's got to be some back-story - maybe their marriage was on the rocks when she was taken? Maybe she'd cheated on him and the guy she cheated with is the baby daddy? That's going to be an interesting story to watch.

I also have a theory that the guy who dated her grandmother, is actually her grandfather.

Oh, and the little girl creeped me out too.

Definitely feels more like a series now. I like it.

I don't know how long it will last though. The show seems to be focusing on several people each week, like the main characters, but then tell a story about one new 4400. This could get old after a while. But I'm too into sci-fi to let that stop me. :D

i did not want to watch it last night. the first episode creeped me out so i dont know if i want to watch it anymore. i will try next week.
last night, i was busy watching 'ocean's eleven'. i love that movie.

i like it a lot. can't wait to see how it all turns out

ok I watched both episodes now but I am a little confused. Everytime they reshow the first show I miss like 30 mins so I am lost about that.

Can anyone give me a brief recap about the beginning of the show. I get that the people all were taken and came back all at once in Seattle, but do we know why those people were taken and what happened to them? Do we know who did this? Did every person get some super power when they came back? I need them to reshow the first episode again so I can tape it so I can watch it lol.

I wonder if the HS boy will try to save his cousin whos in a coma like he healed that girls hand last night?

They haven't figured out where the Returnees where or who had them. So, you haven't missed anything as of yet. All they know is that they were gone, now they're back, and some have powers. (Probably all)

I agree, I am thinking he was planning to off her or something. Who knows, but he makes me mad. I want them to focus on them. He deserves to be smacked,LOL

I saw the 1st episode and was instantly hooked (so was my husband)! But unfortunately, I missed the last 2 episodes! Last week, I was on the plane returning from Nashville, and last night, I totally forgot it was coming on, so would anyone care to give me a little recap of the last 2 weeks?

Series finale is Sunday night at 9:00. Also, there will be a marathon beginning Sunday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. This will be my chance to catch the other 2 episodes that I missed.

Yay!!!! I missed last week's epi. I'm not AS into it now as I was in the beginning, but hopefully I will be satisfied with the ending.

It also appears to be the Season finale and not the Series' finale. Guess we'll see.

i was a little disappointed with the ending

They were humans of the future, and they took the 4400 and enhance them to save humanity by changing the future. One of the furture people was using Kyle has a channel to communicate, however that mean FBI agent shot and killed him and then the real Kyle came back after he was shot. I hope that makes sense

How lame. I was actually hoping for aliens rather than futuristic humans. I am so pissed that I spent that much time watching.

well it looks like we're gonna get more 4400 (errrrrrrrr...4397 now i think...) starting June 5th! yeah!

They air it on space (the show is filmed in Vancouver). I think it is on on Saturday afternoons.
