Thieving Bastards

Can I just vent here?? I'm at work right now, and just discovered that some asshole I work with stole all my cash out of my wallet!! And only mine!! No one else had stuff stolen!!  They stole just my cash and were nice enough to leave all my credit cards/social security/drivers license/nursing license, but still...and I have a suspicion of who did it, but it's not like I can confront them about it....

theiving bastards!!

winneythepooh7 07-09-2004 08:02 AM

I'm so sorry hunny :(

Kevin 07-09-2004 08:27 AM

Set their car on fire.

winneythepooh7 07-09-2004 08:31 AM

steal everything from their wallet but their cash.;)

_Lisa_ 07-09-2004 10:58 AM

Why can't you at least ask them if they know anything about? Or talk to your specialist about your concerns! Your stuff may be missing today but someone else may be missing something tomorrow!

Lady Pi Phi 07-09-2004 10:58 AM

Did you report it to someone?

Peaches-n-Cream 07-09-2004 12:10 PM

Report this incident to the powers that be. You will be surprised how many other people have similar stories. This same sort of thing happened at my mother's office and it turns out one of the secretaries stole over $20,000 from the employees including the partners in the law firm. She was found out and arrested.

Sister Havana 07-09-2004 12:29 PM

That sucks! *hugs* I hope you find the person who did it...

I remember you telling this story Noreen. That is crazy crazy. I remember last year when I was doing an internship, a bunch of people had gotten their wallets stolen. Low and behold it turned out to be another intern they had hired that wasn't actually a student. He was fired on the spot. I think there was even talk of involving the authorities but I didn't follow the situation that closely, not that I would know if he was arrested.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I had that happen to me years ago (twice! in 2 different places) and it does suck big time.
:(

Stop putting money in an object you don't actually carry on your person? You guys are awful trusting.

SAEalumnus 07-09-2004 11:09 PM

(sorry, couldn't resist)

"They stole it from us! Those thieves! Those filthy, little thieves!!!"

Tom Earp 07-10-2004 05:28 PM

JENN, if you find out, dont get even, get revenge:mad:

Carry a very sharp knife, cut balls from body. Hold them in hand for ransome.

If that not that, slit throughpossibel throat, stand back and let blood flow. They attaked you right?:)

Was this in office by a co-hort or some scuzzoied who came in!:(

If a co-hort, go unbalanced, scream and hollor, bring out a small scimitar blade and say, "THIS IS WHAT I WILL DO"!:D

Sorry Jen, My moment in The Sun. Got a 9 Mil. Mace, and a Stunner at my store.:)

DONT MESS WITH MY MONEY BUTT HEADS!

DeltAlum 07-12-2004 12:32 AM

When I saw the name of this thread, I thought it was probably a new rock group.

HotDamnImAPhiMu 07-12-2004 11:34 AM

sorry to hear it, Jen. Hope you're a debit card girl (or at least broke like me) and there was only like $17 in there.

cuaphi 07-12-2004 12:39 PM

We've had problems in my office too. Someone actually stole a pouch full of change from my supervisor's drawer. WTF! It was change.
Is there any way you can get the office manager to give you the key to your top drawer or overhead bin and store all your stuff in there?

JennRN 07-13-2004 02:59 AM

Well, I reported it tp our house supervisor, my nursing manager, made a police report, and put up mean signs around our unit. And thats about all I can do!( Except complain alot ;) ).

Of course, we all got the lecture about not keeping money in our bags, keep our stuff in our car or locked up, blah blah. This happens all the time in the hospital unfortunately. It's happened to a few other people on my unit.

SAEAlumnus, that made me laugh so hard. Thank you!
And thanks to you guys for letting me vent!

Well I'm glad you reported it.

But what pisses me off the most is that you'll always get a lecture about not locking up your valuables, etc, etc., but no one ever gives the elcture about how wrong it is to steal, and that people who do things like this are pretty much low lifes, and how if the culprit is found they will be punished to the full extent of the law. it's always the victims fault.

Seriously. And then if your locker gets broken into, the employer (or in my case, my gym in junior high) claims, well you shouldn't have left valuables in your locker in the first place. We don't take responsibility for that. They always gotta cover their asses don't they?

I have had my car broken into twice. While replacing the window was the most expensive loss, it still sucks to hear your apartment complex say "file a police report and sorry!" BAH! I looked at a police map of crime, my apartment complex area already had enough car break ins reported.

I feel your pain.

You're welcome. :D

dzsaigirl 07-15-2004 11:35 AM

I have been surprised since I got into the workforce, at how common stealing is. It was an epidemic at my last job. They ended up putting cameras in.

And it wasn't just cash...people would steal car keys, your lunch, you name it!

I am so sorry that happened to you. That really sucks!
