Just had to say something.........

Jill1228 07-08-2004 02:11 PM

Honeykiss, come over anytime, girlfriend!

I saw the new pin....I Likes it! :)

ladyj39 07-08-2004 02:17 PM

I want one! Too bad I have to wait three more years!
I saw them at Convention and was so jealous. It's beautiful.

astroAPhi 07-08-2004 03:19 PM

Boo I have 6 more years.

OleMissGlitter 07-08-2004 03:52 PM

Sorry to crash...I love the Alpha Phi 10 year pin....gorgeous darlings!

gogoaphi 07-08-2004 04:34 PM

I LOVE the 10 year pin and am proudly wearing mine on a regular basis. That 25 year pin isn't too far off in my future! :)

SATX*APhi 07-08-2004 07:39 PM

Exquisite!

bruinaphi 07-08-2004 08:38 PM

I wore mine on my lapel of my suit today. I got several compliments on it.

Go 10 year members!!!

TechAPhi 07-09-2004 01:07 AM

Hurrah! The pin is beautiful. Does anyone know if it is allowable to buy this 10-year pin for a pledge sister of mine? We are both almost to our 15-year anniversary now. (Yikes!)

TechAPhi 07-09-2004 01:10 AM

Also, I noticed on the online order form, there is no option for 10-year pin. Am I missing it? (The printable form does have the option for the 10-year pin.)

(Oh the things I could do for this website, if I was the webmaster! :P )

SO DITTO! very subtle!! I'm going to send this to AOII's Jewellery Committee for some thought-production!

G--yes you may purchase a pin for a sister if you like. Thanks for mentioning the online purchase thing. The 10 year pin is on there now so it must have gotten fixed.

I have to agree, those pins are just gorgeous. Lucky girls! The next pin I can get is in 25 years! :p

Shoot, I have NINE. How about a 5 year pin? ;)

bruinaphi 07-13-2004 11:27 AM

Not to make anyone feel unloved, but I don't personally think we need any more pins in Alpha Phi. At Convention I realized I was wearing my badge, my 10 year, my Foundation young alum and my 1872. That's a lot of pins. That being said, I have already worn my 10 year pin more than I've worn my 1872.

well you dont have to buy and/or wear EVERY pin Alpha Phi makes. I like having options. Plus, once you get to 25 years, you can pass your 10 year down to a deserving sister!

bruinaphi 07-14-2004 02:10 AM

I realize that I don't have to wear every one and am actually very happy about the 10 year b/c I like it a lot more than the 25 year and I am much more likely to wear it.

APhi Sailorgirl 07-14-2004 09:11 AM

Wait what's the 1872 pin?? Never heard of that one.

I do love the young alum pin (begged the parents to donate to the foundation to get it :D )

Plus the 10 year pin is subtle, I like the fact that the number is roman versus the blatant 25 number. And assuming I live long and prosper for the next two, I like how they are part of the badge (course at that age, I may need help making sure everything is straight :))

Anyways, I've got the diamond and pearl badge, which I got for my 21st birthday and that's the one I love the most!

Whoaaaaaa....them there's fightin' words there girlie! :D JK!

Although I was part of a conversation at convention where a sister mentioned she "needed another boob" for all the pins.

Aphigal 07-14-2004 04:07 PM

Seriously though I would like to see a very very high quality charm bracelet.

a CA in CA 07-14-2004 04:30 PM

Agreed. I have at least six charms in my jewelry box with nothing to put them on. Maybe a starter bracelet with a starter charm could be the 5 year thing....hmmmmmmm!

bruinaphi 07-20-2004 11:29 AM

Last night I got my 10 year membership certificate to go with my 10 year pin. They are really nice. I am not quite sure what we are supposed to do with them though other than sticking them in a scrapbook.

gogoaphi 07-20-2004 04:19 PM

*POUT* :(

I haven't got a certificate! I would frame my in an elegant frame and hang next to my membership certificate from when I was initiatied. My home office is a shrine to Alpha Phi with composites of my chapter as well as chapters I have advised. Think of it as an annex to the International archives at the Executive Office. :D

Aphigal 07-20-2004 09:29 PM

you can order it through the EO...its on the same order form as the pin...but ordered seperately.

<pout adverted!>:D

pinkyphimu 07-21-2004 10:50 AM

ladies...your ten year pin is beautiful!!! i also love your 25 year pin. i wish we had a ten year pin...i only have one year left.

a CA in CA 07-21-2004 07:42 PM

OH-OH! I got my cert yesterday. Nice indeed, and it actually has my name spelled correctly, unlike my original sheepskin.
