Another Sex Craved Teacher

You Can See Her Wedding Photos Here |
For someone that looks like that, all I can think is how dumb she had to be to pick someone that age. She could probably get just about any guy, but she shoots for a 14-year-old? I'd say someone that stupid shouldn't be allowed to reproduce.
|
WTF?!
She looks so much better in those wedding pictures than in other pictures I've seen of her. Poor husband. He looks so happy! :( |
She is very pretty and, apparently, very stupid to have a fling with a 14 year old student. I didn't find 14 year old boys attractive when I was 14 and definitely not at 23.
|
gotta feel sorry for the husband- married less than a year and cheated on by a kid 10years younger
|
1) She's hot!
2) That boy is very lucky. 3) I feel very sorry for the husband. 4) What the hell is going inside her head? |
I will never understand what goes on in a teacher's head that makes them think it is ok to seduce a student. That goes for both male and female teachers, as we all know it happens the other way, too.
I feel horribly for everyone involved and I really hope that the woman and the kid get psychological help. |
Why does the kid need therapy? He's a stud.
Remember, there is a healthy double standard in this country, so its different when a young boy has sex with an older woman than a younger girl. I wonder who turned them in? Whoever they are, they suck. Intriguing that the mom called the police like that. I think my father would have been rather proud of me had I done the same thing. I certainly would be proud of a son that did that. |

I wonder why the screening process failed the system. The red lights should have been flashing rapidly and the sirens making some noise when looking into her past.
I also feel bad for her husband being cheated on by two teenagers.        |
That's what I'm saying! He is pretty hot

From what I heard, she told the 14 year old guy that her marriage (which wasn't old at all....4 months?) was bad. 1, that's not an excuse to cheat. And 2, the kid probably can't understand the concept of marriage.

Ewww.
I only have a year left before I become a middle school teacher (grades 4-9). These are the kind of people that make it harder for good people to become teachers... I'm wondering one thing, I know at my school it takes FOREVER to get through the program and you have to go through a lot of red tape to even get a degree, in which it's not even a official til you take the Praxis III test (you must take this test after being in the field for a year and be tested in the classroom by a master teacher). What school did she graduate from? State? Normally there are signs to build up to this. Where on earth were the prof's? On a side note, maybe she left the hubby because the kid was packed bigger than he was, lol ;) |
damn, i feel sorry for the husband. to know your wife is a skeezer.
|
And to know she would rather give it away to a high school freshmen then him.
He Will never live that down as long as he lives. Quote:

Found this online:
The Tampa Tribune remains hot on the case and delivers fresh details: Lafave is a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County. She was an active student at Bloomingdale High School. She was a member of the chorus and the Ambassadors, also a singing group. She participated in a fashion education program that lets students work jobs for class credit. After graduation, she went on to the University of South Florida to major in English. During her years there, she worked at a series of part-time jobs, including nail technician, waitress and bank teller, according to her school district resume. Lafave also worked as a model for Makes and Models Magazine, which features exotic cars. She was in its first issue, which included a photograph titled "Man's Best Friends,'' in which she sat atop a wide-screen television showing a Porsche. While Lafave was attending USF, her older sister, Angela Beasley, died in in a car crash in April 2001. Army Capt. Joseph F. Piotrowski pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and driving under the influence after he ran a stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by Beasley, who was pregnant. A year later, Lafave began her college internship at Weightman Middle School in Wesley Chapel, where her supervisors were impressed with her dedication. "In the classroom, Ms. Beasley maintains a positive enthusiastic, well-managed learning environment,'' then Weightman Principal Robert Aguis wrote in a recommendation letter. "She has always displayed confidence and professionalism.'' Professor Cindy Campbell supervised Lafave during her internship. Campbell said Lafave showed promise to be an excellent teacher. "She was so well-researched and prepared for her lessons,'' Campbell said. "She was one of those students that stood out. She was so professional during her internship. I still use her as an example in my teachings.'' After completing her internship, Lafave was hired by the Hillsborough County school district. On her application, Lafave stated: "I will work hard to ensure that children learn how to positively interact among the multiplicity of personalities, cultures, beliefs and ideals. Ultimately, I will provide my students with a classroom environment that makes them feel free to explore both their creative and intellectual sides.'' After her first year teaching, in July 2003, she married Kristian Owen Lafave, who turned 26 on Wednesday. They live in a town home in Riverview. Debra Lafave has not returned telephone calls seeking comment. She remains on administrative leave and is expected to be suspended without pay by the school board this month. If convicted, Lafave faces up to 15 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000 on each of five charges. |
I know a few people that know both her and her husband. She was a bit of a slut in high school and not much has apparently changed. Her husband is the all-around good guy and is very upset that his name is being dragged through the mud because of all of this. From what has been told to me, they were having marital problems and it looked as though they were on their way to divorce and now this has all surfaced.

The khaki and white is popular among my friends who recently got married, too. My extended family got our pictures taken together during Thanksgiving last year and the portraits are taken on the beach in...you guessed it....khaki and white. :)
I'm with Dani. I would definitely love to comfort her husband. I can't believe she cheated with a 14-year-old when she had such a good looking (and legal) guy at home! |
I was watching Inside Edition and they just said that the teacher was heavily involved with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. Hmm...it all started with him...:p

Trifling Whore

a lot of people in tampa have been with Nick Carter, it takes me more then one hand to count the number of people I know personally that have been. (Oh going to school in tampa - classy classy town. :( )
As far as khaki and white, they have beach pictures, when the fam got them done years ago they say you can wear either jeans or khaki bottoms, and then a very very light pastel top. Most people pick khaki and white cause it looks the best/stylish. And it photgraphs well with the background. |
Update!
She's using the insanity defense. And it looks like her husband did file for divorce. Sounds like life has gotten pretty rough.
Link to article Teacher will use insanity defense With it, Debra Lafave will try to fend off charges that she had sex with one of her 14-year-old students. By CHRISTOPHER GOFFARD, Times Staff Writer Published December 1, 2004 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Related 10 News video: Lafave says she's insane TAMPA - Debra Lafave, the suspended Greco Middle School teacher accused of having sex with a 14-year-old student, will claim she was insane at the time of the alleged encounters. Lafave's attorney, John Fitzgibbons, announced in court Tuesday that he would file notice of an insanity defense "in the near future." "Debbie has some profound emotional issues that are not her fault," Fitzgibbons said afterward. Several doctors have examined Lafave in recent months, Fitzgibbons said, and their findings will cast light on what happened in this case. As expected, a cadre of camera crews turned out Tuesday to capture the 24-year-old Lafave, blond and blue-eyed, as she entered and left the courtroom, flanked by her lawyer and family. Gone was the smoky eye shadow and hot red lipstick that have characterized her image on national TV and on the Internet. Instead, Lafave showed up for court Tuesday with muted makeup, a somber black suit and heels, her hair demurely pinned back. A small golden crucifix hung from her neck. Lafave has pleaded not guilty to four felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition, each of which carry a maximum 15-year prison term. The charges stem from a teenage student's claims that he and Lafave had sex five times in early June, encounters that allegedly occurred in her Riverview townhouse, her classroom and the back of her Isuzu during rides through Ocala. The defense is expected to point to the horrific April 2001 death of Lafave's older sister, Angela Beasley, who was 24 years old and five months pregnant when an intoxicated Army captain, Joseph Piotrowski, plowed his Jeep into her car. Piotrowski is now serving a 30-year prison term for the crime. During Piotrowski's court-martial in August 2001, Lafave testified about how depressed, angry and ill she had been since her sister's death. "It's hard to concentrate on anything but that," she said. Her mother, Joyce Beasley, described her as "pretty much a basket case" as a result of her sister's death. Under the law, the state will be allowed to enlist its own mental health expert to examine Lafave, and the results are admissible in court to rebut defense psychiatrists. However, Lafave retains her right not to testify at her trial. At the request of both sides, Hillsborough Circuit Judge Wayne Timmerman agreed to delay Lafave's trial, which was scheduled for Dec. 6. The case goes before the judge again on March 22 for a pretrial hearing, with a trial set for April 25. Legal experts say an insanity claim is a defense of last resort, often relied on when the defense cannot plausibly dispute the alleged facts. "The essence of an insanity defense is the defendant must in some medium admit the offense," said veteran defense attorney Norman Cannella. "That is the heart of the defense." But such a defense is notoriously tough to sell to a jury. In November, Fitzgibbons, Lafave's attorney, failed to persuade jurors that another client, Plant City pediatrician George Rada, was insane when he gunned down his wife. Rada was convicted of first-degree murder. The insanity defense is rarely used in sex cases. In March, Randolph Standifer, a 23-year-old Tampa man, was convicted of kidnapping and raping a 9-month-old girl, despite his lawyers' plea that he was insane when it happened. In the Lafave case, the defense faces particular trouble, in that she is accused of multiple sex acts occurring over weeks. "I have trouble conceptualizing how Fitzgibbons intends to use (the insanity defense) without insulting the jury," Cannella said. "I don't think the common person would be able to juxtapose insanity and consensual sex." Under Florida law, Lafave can be considered insane if she suffered from a mental infirmity at the time of the alleged crime and, as a result, failed to grasp the consequences of her action or its wrongness. According to standard jury instructions, "unrestrained passion or ungovernable temper," even if they eclipse normal judgment, do not equate with insanity. Apart from criminal troubles, Lafave is in the midst of a divorce from Kristian Lafave, to whom she had been married less than a year when she was arrested in June. Two months later, he asked for a divorce. The Hillsborough School Board has suspended Lafave without pay until her case is resolved. Recently, she has been struggling to pay off the Visa bill from her honeymoon while working as an office assistant at an Apollo Beach air conditioning company, according to court documents. Later this week, the State Attorney's Office is expected to release discovery material in the case, including police reports and the transcript of recorded phone calls between Lafave and the 14-year-old student. |

Well she is already a laughing stock to the rest of the country . . she already lost her job, but I don't think we need to put her in jail . . unless we think she is a danger to society by offering other boys in puberty blow jobs?
|
An insanity plea is such a hard thing to pull off. I really feel for her. Most cases I've seen like this involve a sex addiction that manifests itself in some pretty horrible ways that led to horrible consequences.

LOL! I'm talking about teachers/staff with students. There were two cases at my school. And, that was a Christian school!!
Back in 1995, Marie Hiller had a sexual relationship with a student. She was a Bible and science teacher. I had her for eighth grade earth science. She's the one I remember most. |
MAN, she is HOT.
Where was these teachers at when i was in Middle/High School. I wouldn't have told a SOUL! Well not until I published my book which is due in 25 years. Mein Kampf THE DIRTY VERSION |
Craziness. I do feel bad for the husband though...poor guy probably didn't know what he was getting in to...
