Do you have a cell flip phone?

No, but I'm planning to get one after my birthday in August. Flip phones are the hottest thing at my school. Right now, I have a Nokia phone that is way outdated. :(

Kevin 06-29-2004 06:36 PM

I've had them. I prefer that design. I'm currently using the Ericcson T616. I got it because it was the only affordable phone out there that has bluetooth. I have a personal rule that I won't own anything that has bluetooth available if it doesn't have it installed.

adpialumcsuc 06-29-2004 06:43 PM

I don't have one but want one because I have an old Ericsson and I am constantly calling people on accident. I never remember to lock my key pad.

smiley21 06-29-2004 06:43 PM

I still have a nokia also. Everyone at school has flip phones it seems like, but I still don't mind mine as long as they still make cool covers to change with it. I guess I'll get the nokia flip phone when they offer it as a free upgrade--I'll probably be watin a bit for that! :)

lyrica9 06-29-2004 06:59 PM

i do! its my first phone ever, got it for my 19th birthday in april.
its a samsung made for cingular... i can never remember the model number

Unregistered- 06-29-2004 07:02 PM

Aside from the banana Qualcomm I had way back in 98, all I've had are Samsung flip phones. Currently have the Samsung VM-A680.

Dude get a new phone and give me yours. I want to program the keys on it to act as a remote for my powerbook.

lol

Going to be getting me a new laptop soon with bluetooth. Going to be able to connect to the net (slowly) via bluetooth.

Should be nice.

I have an Audiovox CDM8600. It's an okay phone (I like the small size), but I don't know if I would recommend it. If I have it in my purse, I rarely ever hear it ring, so I'm constantly missing calls.

I have this same phone and I hate hate HATE it!!! Waaay too expensive for such a crappy phone. It is small though. But if you talk too long it gets super hot.

PhiPsiRuss 06-29-2004 07:20 PM

I've had flip phones, in the past and I prefer them.

If I was going to get a phone today, I would want one with bluetooth that's compatible with a Mac.

I would get the Ericsson Z600

I have the same thing. It's gold and only available in Europe because it's some weird anniversary edition. There are different options on it and it pisses me off because I can't figure some of them out.

GMUBunny 06-29-2004 07:32 PM

Samsung A310... kinda like it, but I'm due for a new one. Not sure what in the hell I'm gonna get, though.

AGDLynn 06-29-2004 07:37 PM

Just got the Verison LG6000 or something like that. I love the voice dial feature...too bad you are limited to the # of phone numbers you can voice dial.

Mz Destiny 06-29-2004 07:52 PM

I just upgraded from the Nokia 3595 to the Samsung E105 flip. I absolutely love it!

Steeltrap 06-29-2004 08:09 PM

I have the LG G4010. Not fancy, but it's cute and does the job.

ADPiShannan 06-29-2004 08:10 PM

I had a cell phone from Verizon Wireless that was a cute Motorola flip phone I had diff color covers too. VW sucks here though, they screwed us eith HUGE bills that werent correct, they were pricks about everything so we dropped them and had to pay over 1000.00 cause we ended before 2 years were up and we had to pay in full the phones we had cause the hubby forgot to return them. I hate that company so bad.

I have Nextel now. As a nascar fan and I love the walkie talkie and how crisp all the calls are. They didnt have my fave driver, but I liked Jimmy Johnson so I got this phone.

I have an LG V6000 Camera Phone - the photo quality is low and I didn't really care to have a camera phone, but it was the next step up in an upgrade.

emperorclb 06-29-2004 08:47 PM

I have a verizon LGVX6000 also, i like but im ready for a new phone, cuz ive had this onr for a year already.

norcalchick 06-29-2004 08:58 PM

i've got a samsung flip phone, but i want this:

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...edPhoneId=1550

it's a slider phone. i've checked it out at verizon and you can have it so that when you open or close it, it makes a sound (there are a couple of sounds for the opening/closing also). and it's also a speaker phone. but i've only had my phone for a couple of months, so to get a new phone, i would have to pay retail for it.

SSS1365 06-29-2004 09:17 PM

I've got an LG VX4400. I know, it's probably really outdated now, the way phones are evolving, but I like it and probably won't upgrade anytime soon. I was always accidentally calling people before, plus I like being able to answer and hang up with ease :)

CardinalSM 06-29-2004 09:37 PM

I have the Motorola T720

http://commerce.motorola.com/consume...ages/t720l.jpg

It's definitely a step up from my freebie Nokia (non-flip) phone that I got when I first signed up. I like this one quite a bit. The only thing it doesn't have that I would like would be the camera capability, but I probably wouldn't use it much anyway.

ADPiAkron 06-30-2004 12:59 PM

I had an LG flip phone and it broke in half. It is one of the LGs that is sold through Verizon Wireless. I had it for almost 2 years and then it busted....same thing happened to my boyfriends mom and she had the same phone. If you get a flip just make sure you have the insurance...because without insurance it would cost me $128 for a new phone unless i signed a new contract!

I have the same phone! I didn't want it for the camera feature, but the phone wound up being cheaper than the regular one after rebate. The camera does come in handy though.

I have this too. . .

_Opi_ 06-30-2004 01:20 PM

I have a Sumsung v205 for a year. It's alright, except for the camera quality. I think its time to invest in a new one.

Lady Pi Phi 06-30-2004 01:23 PM

I have a flip phone.

I have a Samsung (can't remember the model off the top of my head)

I like my little phone.

Gina1201 06-30-2004 01:38 PM

CSUSigEp 06-30-2004 02:04 PM

i got a Samsung n400. Its a good little phone and has an optional camera that can be plugged into it (which is pretty pointless to buy in hindsight). However the phone itself is pretty cool, I like the speakerphone feature too.

But my plan is up next month so Im gonna be getting a new one, Yes!

ilovemyglo 06-30-2004 04:41 PM

I love my Motorola V600-
It is blue tooth capable and I take enough pics with it that I have to unload them all the time! Not too mention i can browse the web with it...
Yeah, it cost $400, but I didn't pay for it! Plus I have a different cover for it, mine is a silverish Lilac color.

Aliens are in cell phones monitoring your thoughts. they are all going to come and get you if you keep using them. don't say I didn't warn you.
