Celebrities - Height and Weight, Please!
So, with all these reports about Mary Kate Olsen and her eating disorder (and bless her little heart to have it splashed about the news, how sad - it's something so many women struggle with)... I was wondering if anyone can give me some cold, hard statistics on the height and weight of successful actresses and models out there.
I used to know a few years back, but I've lost track. And I need to know what I'm striving for. Bring it on! |
I don't know how much Mary Kate weighs, but she's around 5'1 or 5'2 (according to the IMDB, one sister is 5'1 and the other is 5'2, but I don't remember which one is what). I'm assuming that she her weight is way below 100 if she has an eating disorder.
|
i do not think that mary kate's weight is that much below 100 lbs. she is not THAT thin. her appearance is getting scary though. i wish all the best for her.

Let me think what I can remember from my days when I used to obsessively track this. Obviously some of it is pretty rough estimates.
Jennifer Anniston - 5'5" 105 Jennifer Lopez 5'6" 120 (I think this is on the low side) Britney 5'5" and she's been everywhere from 105-150 (on the higher end of that now) Lara Flynn Boyle 5'6" or 5'7" 95 Jessica Simpson 5'3" 105-110 Drew Barrymore 5'4" 120-125 Kirsten Dunst 5'2" 100 Beyonce 5'6" or 5'7" 135-140 Renee Zellweger 5'5" 105 (before Bridget Jones Diary -- she's been higher and lower since) Liv Tyler 5'10" 150 Kate Winslet 5'8" 155? Nicole Kidman 5'10" 105 (RIDICULOUS) Oh, and Mary-Kate is definitely under 90. I would put her at 85ish. |

Liv Tyler has a very similar body type to her sister's and she diets and exercises quite a bit to get as thin as she has for some of her movies. Her natural weight falls around 150 (she's tall enough that she still looks great) and I think she is trying not to wreak too much havoc on her health by getting too thin these days.
If you check any recent pictures of her, you'll see that she definitely has some meat on her bones. |
ok i see your point. someone that age and weight is so bizarre and mind blowing. but i know that it does happen. i remember when people thought i was sick cause i went from 120lbs to 101lbs during a school year. my classmates would make fun of me and my teachers thought that i had a problem. i was not concerned about my weight, i was just lonely.
|
Oooo...according to IMDB, Kirsten Dunst is 5'7, not 5'2...not sure how accurate IMDB is though.
|
Where do you guys get this information? I don't even know my own weight.

Some of the stats that I listed are a couple years old, so if they're for somebody who's still young/growing they could be off. Also, take a lot of stats you see on websites with a grain of salt . . . It's not out of the ordinary to deflate an actress's weight if she's routinely described as "curvy" (which is, I think what happened with J.Lo, who is in no way under 130), or inflate it if she's always getting slammed for being anorexic (Lara Flynn Boyle, who could easily have a low weight of 85 -- that woman has some definite issues in regards to her weight). |
At that height and weight, Nicole Kidman should practically be dead. I know she's got fine bone structure, but sheesh!
150 on an 5'10" medium frame appears thinner than it sounds. We tall chicks carry it well. |

Hollywood for ages has been saying that Kate Winslet is fat. She's only fat by Hollywood standards where they glorify Lara Flynn Boyle for being 95 pounds. She's extremely underweight. Also, I heard on the radio that Liv Tyler is pregnant. |
Kate Hudson was recently listed at a pre-baby weight size of 112. I think she's about 5'6''. The funny thing is that Vogue referred to that as a size 4 but I'm pretty sure she'd be more like a 2.

WHAT?!?!?!?! lara flynn boyle is 95 pounds and 5'7?!?!? that is a freaking STICK!! im 5'7 and 126 pounds, so i can say right now i am in HORROR at her being 95!!! unless she has a serious metabolism problem, she HAS a problem!! and nicole is 5'10 and 105...... dont even get me started........... |
you have to remember too that some of these celebrities may be reported as weighing a certain amount, but they will look different if it is fat weight or muscle weight.
Drew Barymore always looks "heavier" to me than say Brittney Spears, even though they are about the same hieght wieght ratio. Britney has no fat on her at all (last I saw her) and Drew-while looking good-does look much fleshier. My bestest friend and I are the exact same height and weight but she wears a size smaller usually than I do because she works out and has the flat belly and I sit on my bootie and have the beer belly.;) |

Well these stars are all wealthy, successful and sought after, so i imagine they are doing something right. Maybe emulation isn't so bad?

I think the camera adds 5-10 lbs on people. So she looks heavier than the stated weight... |

I'm pretty tall (5'11"), so I've always been bummed at how short a lot of leading men are. Of course this explains why most leading women need to be so petite.

I wasn't really joking with the original post. Maybe a little, but really, I want to get back down to when I was 100. |
Um, hello?!! What do women do best? LIE ABOUT THEIR WEIGHT!!!!!!!! I really don't believe these celebrities when they say they only weigh 110 pounds and you can clearly see that they don't. For example, Jessica Simpson has HUGE boobs, which will add weight to her frame. She has hips and curves along with those boobs....which would put her over her so-called weight. These women know that they look good and that the media wants to hear they weigh less then they really do. I'd lie too if I constantly had cameras in my face. Does the reading on the scale really matter? No, it's all how you look.
I can't wait for this revival Twiggy phase to go away so young women stop torturing themselves by the media. |

You can definitely tell the difference between a wide lense and long lense shot. Sometimes they almost look like different people.
