Georgia?
Is there really about to be another Tri-Sigma chapter (well, colony for now!) in Georgia??????
I saw something at Armstrong Atlantic. If this is really old news, please delete this post! |
I hope so. Our latest colonization will be at Embry Riddle Aeronautical Univ. ( Daytona, FL) in Fall 2004. I'll see if I we are coming to Armstrong. :)
|
Two local sororities at Armstrong Atlantic are becoming colonies of NPC groups. Theta Xi Alpha is going with Sigma Sigma Sigma, and The Philian Society is going with Alpha Sigma Tau.
|
I am SO EXCITED!!!
Hi everyone! My name is Megan Moore, president of Theta Xi Alpha Sorority at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Georgia. Our local sorority will become a colony of Tri-Sigma next month!
We are all so VERY excited! We have been waiting for this for about 2 years now, and we are happy with our decision to go SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA. Take Care!!, Megan |
CONGRATS and good luck on your future work in Tri-Sigma!
|
OMG!!! More Sigmas!!! I'm too excited for you guys, AASUBeachChic!
|
AAHHH!!! I know this is SO exciting! See, AASU use to have a big greek life back in the day (60's until the 90's). Phi Mu, Alpha Gamma Delta, Sigma Kappa were all here. Basically numbers got low, and they all left.
When I got to AASU in 2001 I was like "WHERE did they all go?", lol. Both my mom and sister are sorority women so of course I wanted to keep the tradition going!! Currently we have 18 girls, and we are recruiting hard during freshmen orientations. Another local sorority is colonizing with Alpha Sigma Tau and we also have 2 locals on campus. Our ARC degree ceremony is August 21st!!! YAY!!! I can not WAIT to be pinned!!! Our recruitment chair is actually friends with a few girls from a chapter in Michigan (not sure which one though). We would love to have any Sigmas visit us in Savannah!! Hey ATL- Ogelthorpe University sisters- ya'll aren't far way!! :-) ~Megan TZA/EEE @ AASU |

Hi!
I'm an AOII who just surfed in here...I live in Savannah and am part-time faculty at AASU. So, if y'all need any help, please let me know! I'd be happy to help out during your colonization if needed! |
Hi from Savannah
Just wanted to say hello as another member of the soon to be colony of Tri-Sigma at Armstrong Atlantic State University! I can't wait to be a part of such an amazing organization. We have already got so much support from everyone! Thank you and much love!
~Tami |
Thanks AOII Kristi! Which department are you apart of? :-)
~Megan |
I am part time in the music department--so if any of you need to take Music Appreciation, I usually teach it Tues and Thurs 6-7:15. I may also be teaching it MWF morning, although I'm not sure yet. And I also teach oboe lessons.
|
I will pass the class info on! Thanks :-)
~Megan |
Hello from Savannah!
Hey everyone! My name is Amanda and I am the VP of Theta Xi Alpha which will soon be affiliating with Tri Sigma in the fall...a few weeks away! Right now we are all very excited and anxious to see what this sorority is all about. As a future new member is there any advice that ya'll might share that would make this experience even more memorable for the ladies... anything at all! I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend, Amanda

Congratulations to the future Sigma's of AASU!!!
|
YAYYAY!!!!!!!!!
omigod I am so excited about this!!!!!!! we have waited FOREVER for another Tri Sigma Chapter in GA!!!! Maybe we'll be invited down to give you guys Triangle Degree!!!!! I can't believe it!!! this is so great! you guys are welcome at our chapter house any time! please come visit!!!! I hope you enjoy your transformation into a Tri Sigma colony, you'll definately hear from our chapter come fall. Violets to you all- Tri Sigma is an amazing organization and an even more amazing sisterhood! and now we Epsilon Theta Girls have some in state sisters!!!! SLAM, Ashley MRD--Epsilon Theta Chapter, Atlanta GA:) :D |
one more thing- our school also has the only chapter of AST in GA at it--they are awesome girls. we'll have to plan a big panhellenic road trip.
My advice is to really learn as much as you can about the history of our org. once you realize all the accomplishments we've made and how wonderful we are, it makes you realize what a wonderful thing you're a part of. Also, try as hard as you can to absorb the ritual (it can be difficult if you're nervous, etc.) the ritual is what we live by and it can really enrich your life. e-mail me anytime or anything!!! SLAM, ashley |
Hi!! Thank you for posting!! I was waiting to hear from an OU Sigma! YAY!!! My email address is gabeachchic@yahoo.com if you want to get in touch with us, I will make sure to pass it along to the rest of the sisters :-)

I just wanted to say thanks to all of the Tri-Sigs that have been so supportive and sweet. It is so awesome to know that we have such a vast and strong support system. I was talking with Megan today and we both agreed that we could not have found a better organization to join. Just keep us in your prayers and thoughts as we get everything organized and such. Today was really cool because I was able to meet our so to be chapter advisor who like everyone else so far was totally awesome! Really ya'll, we are just so pumped about the recruitment process and everything! Keep in touch! Amanda - AASU GA

Hi everyone! My name is Amy Lester and I too am a Sigma. So I just have to post because I'm bursting with excitement for SO many reasons. First of all, I am a member of the Epsilon Theta chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma at Oglethorpe University and am SO excited about our new colony. Secondly, I'm from Savannah. Hopefully even after I graduate, I can be involved as an alum at AASU. And thirdly, I went to elementary school with Megan Moore, and we were actually really good friends. So now that she's almost officially my sister, it's good times. I am happy on so many levels....
