Does anyone here play video games?

Playstation 2 and Xbox are part of my entertainment regiment. Anyother greekchatters playin any games right now?

DeltaSigStan 06-17-2004 11:19 AM

The only game I've played in the past 4 years is Grand Theft Auto Vice City...

But, I haven't actually played the GAME......I just randomly cause havoc.

I feel it's the best anger management tool. As long as you know it's just a damn game, you can cause an infinite number of gratuitous violence with absolutely no reprecussions.......

Well, probably cause I'm 21, I wouldn't say that to a 14 yr old...

Rudey 06-17-2004 11:20 AM

Only if I'm at a buddy's and it's Madden.

I definitely do...don't have much time to, but have a whole bunch of sports games for PSII; currently playing the new MVP Baseball, but also like Madden, NHL and NBA a lot.

As I said though, don't have a whole lot of time to play.

TheEpitome1920 06-17-2004 01:31 PM

I recently purchased a Xbox. I like GTA and Mafia. I really want the boxing game with Roy Jones on the front. I bought it to play the Sims but that game sucks.

Dionysus 06-17-2004 01:55 PM

I play PS2 and computer games. *nerd laugh*

I'm a fan of the GTA, NHL, Need for Speed games.

smiley21 06-17-2004 02:19 PM

<----------proud player of super nintendo, ps1, and ps2:)

Kevin 06-17-2004 02:22 PM

I have an Xbox -- but it does some other tricks as well.

GeekyPenguin 06-17-2004 04:36 PM

I have a GameCube and I'm addicted to Tony Hawk, I won't lie.

ISUKappa 06-17-2004 04:59 PM

The Mr. has a PS2 and I've played Gauntlet and Dynasty Warriors a few times but mostly I leave it to him. He's been working on Summoner 2 for the last 2 weeks.

emperorclb 06-17-2004 09:15 PM

I hav a PS2 too, i play towny hawk undergroung, need for speed underground, and SOCOM (plus a few other games). But need for speed underground is by far the tighest car game ive seen yet i love the cars and the way u get to hook them up to suit your taste. Oh yeah and i also play GTA3 and Vice City for random acts of violence to. Cuz its only a game and like the other guy said, as long as you keep that in mind its all good.

Intense1920 06-17-2004 09:29 PM

I have a PS2 but I don't spend much time playing with it. When I do I'm working on Final Fantasy X and Soul Calibur 2.

emperorclb 06-18-2004 06:04 AM

Soul Calibur was tight on dream cast. I wonder wut ever happen to dream cast? It wasnt a half bad system.

It's still around in Japan -- If you have one, you can fairly easily mod it to accept the Japanese discs (which you can download off the internet and burn).

Freshman year we used to play that a bunch; on a slow night we'd get a case of cheap beer and play Soul Calibur late.

DeltaSigStan 06-18-2004 11:22 AM

I had a Dreamcast. I bought one cause they had them when I worked at Hollyuwood Video and thought they were sick. Shenmue was also a great game.

I think the concept of the Dreamcast was EXCELLENT, but the Sega name could not compete with Sony

emperorclb 06-18-2004 03:45 PM

Dang i forgot all about shenmue, LOL. I was addicted to that freaking game.

Thanks for clarifying the age thing! My 8 year old played that game at a friends' house and is now BEGGING for it. He was describing how "cool" it was to me all through dinner the other night and his (very bright) 10 year old sister said to him "Do you think telling momma all that is going to make her get it for you? That stuff will make her NOT get it." I agree that most adults can handle this, but my 8 year old isn't getting it.

"But momma, you can be the police too, so it's good, so can I get it?"

Dee

Except it took me three hours to beat.....

AlphaFrog 06-19-2004 09:56 AM

Anything ZELDA!!!!!

Although I was very disappointed with Majora's Mask...the actual idea with the masks and stuff was really cool, but I hated doing the same thing over, and over and over and over and over again......

Have you ever had a significant other on a video game? I have.

I must say, he looks better, and performs better in person.

NCAA Football 2004. Check it out. Good times.

ADqtPiMel 06-19-2004 03:45 PM

I think I play Dance Dance Revolution more than any other human being.

Coramoor 06-19-2004 08:48 PM

Halo is a sickness in my frat house and has been for like two years. We will have four xbox's linked up and have 16 guys playing it in different rooms.

During Spring rush this past semester we actually got about 9 or so pledges because of Halo, I think....Now we link it up online and play against other people. It's fun, but definitly time consuming.

Our last year's Marching Band Drum Major was OBSESSED with that game...he ALWAYS was playing Western Illinois vs. Western Kentucky at Hanson Field (WIU)...big rivalry (big drama, we've faced them 4 times in the past 2 years...in regular season, we win, in tourny, they win, and tourny's what counts...)...in fact about the biggest rivalry you can get for the size of the schools....

We used to have tournaments playing SC all the time in my girl's room. I miss those days. :( I think she still has her Dreamcast though. I wanted one but I wasn't going to spend that money only to play one game.

Rio_Kohitsuji 06-20-2004 07:49 PM

I'm a gamer :)

Right now I've gone back to the basics of good ole Nintendo and Atari...my PS2 and N64 will see me soon.

DeltaSigStan 06-21-2004 10:18 AM

One of the DUs here appears on the intro vignette to NCAA 2004......

Damn you Davey.....

ZeroCool 06-23-2004 11:28 AM

I have a game cube and I been playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time but stopped because then I got addicted to playing Starcraft on my computer.

I'm a video game nerd thanks to my guy friends :D

kdonline 07-06-2004 12:11 AM

Last game I played was Unreal Tournament, but I don't have time to play anymore. My husband has been making games for the past several years. Recently, he joined the company that is now making Halo 2.

So, by default, much of our conversation is about videogames.
