HC *SMH*? HC this was the LOOOOOOOOOONGEST day of my life? HC God TRULY tested me today? HC I had to take the LSAT today? HC when I woke up @ 8 a.m., there was a flood watch for Southern La.? HC we had to drive to Hammond (an hour away from N.O.) for the test? HC the test was for 12:30, but I left @ 10:15 to have time to spare? HC the sun was out and birds were singing? HC we hit the road? HC my wheel was shaking? HC I thought it was the road? HC I kept driving? HC it got progressively worse? HC everyone who knows me KNOWS that I don't drive slowly? HC we were laughing and talking? HC we passed a dude on the road who was picking his nose and stuh? HC we laughed at him? HC he pulled on side of me? HC I thought he was trying to holla :rolleyes: ? HC I looked over? HC he told me that something was wrong with my tire? HC we pulled over to see? HC he got out of his truck and pointed to my tire? HC I was situated and listening to the directions when I felt nauseous? HC I was excused the restroom, where I, well, you know? HC I went back? HC I was jittery and uneasy and couldn't really concentrate, but pressed on? HC I thought I was feeling better when it hit me again? HC I barely made it through the bathroom door before, well, you know? HC all I could do was cry? HC the proctor asked if I wanted to stop and just cancel my score? HC I had practiced too hard and come too far AND paid too much for the test to cancel? HC through it all, I finished? HC when we got outside it was storming? HC we had to get a new tire and got lost trying to find a Wal-Mart? HC they had a three hour wait, so we went to Tire Kingdom? HC within an hour, we were done? HC on our way to the highway, we got caught at a railroad crossing? HC after finally getting to the highway, we missed an exit and had to take the LOOOONG way? HC all water and trees? HC my gas tank was [SIZE=0.5]thisclose[/SIZE] to E? HC finally made it to N.O. and to a gas station? HC suddenly the rain was stopping? HC I finally made it home safely? HC I TRIED to treat myself to dinner last night after work, at what I THOUGHT was a quiet time.
HC I'd skipped lunch so broke out and got there at an unconventional time (read: the joint was practically empty) HC within 3 minutes of my sitting down, a family of 6, with a loud-azz "Proud Family" daddy parks at the table RIGHT NEXT to me; HC two minutes later, 6 Hispanic construction workers parked at the table RIGHT NEXT to the Proud Family, cat-e-corner to me; HC an elderly black couple (and the sista was apparently mad at ole dude, cause she was all in his ear about something) showed up 2 minutes later at the table just up from me; HC I look out and the WHOLE FREAKIN section was STILL EMPTY 'cept for this UN convention that has assembled around me. Do I look like Kofi Annan? HC then Proud family dad decides to teach his child the rudiments of selecting from the buffet area.....from 45 feet away. "There the chicken is over there, Nay-nay. Gon get you what you want. Bring daddy back a few pieces, too." :eek: HC then Proud Family dad decides he gon discuss the intracicies of "commercial dry-walling" with the 6 construction dudes :rolleyes: His wife got up to the next table to use her cell phone. HC I'm like WTF happened to my quiet dinner? I guess it was at my quiet home where I should been. ;) HC, HC, HC? |

HC I asked my mom to put money on my school ID card so I can sneak into the dorm where my friend is an RA to do laundry there and it costs less than half it would in my apartment complex, AND we can play some ping pong? HC my mom told me to drink more green tea instead of coffee, but she bought me 10 pounds of fair-trade organic coffee when she was here? HC I am a coffee ATTIC? HC I feel less and less like going to law school, and would rather work with my Church's Global Mission, and that an offer to financially support me to go work anywhere within the church overseas once I have my degree? HC that was the call from God I have been listening for?, and I'm happy I wasn't getting uppity when about 10 people I know decided to attend seminary? HC I think my parents are going to pay for it because I am the youngest and they don't want me to move back in with them because they enjoy their peace and quiet? ;) |
