5 Favorite SitComs of ALL TIME!!!

What are your 5 favorite sitcoms?

Mine are, in particular order:

1) The Odd Couple - Oscar is my hero. Anyone who wakes up, because he rolls on a sandwich in his bed, and then starts eating it is allright in my book.

2) Seinfeld - The show about nothing had the most original humor in years. It was brilliant, and I'm amazed at how it has influenced our vernacular.

3) I Love Lucy - What an amzing schemer. Always had a plan, and it always backfired. Sort of like the next one.

4) The Honeymooners - Ralph Cramden was like the mayor of nothing. He was great, and Norton and Alice played off of him brilliantly.

5) Taxi - It started off as a good show, and just got better. Latka and Iggy really made it.

If animation doesn't count, then put That 70's Show and Saved By The Bell (Grew up to he show, even though it was pretty lame now that look back)

wow....great shows have been mentioned!

mine:

i love lucy--just hilarious, and it's like 50+ years later. lucy reminds me a lot of my mom....her expressions are just like lucy's.....fun times at my house. :)

dick van dyke--good quality humor. what more needs to be said?

mary tyler moore--every single person in this cast was absolutely amazing....ed asner, betty white.....great ensemble and fantastic writing. rhoda was my fave, esp when her mother came to visit. :)

the simpsons--i think just b/c my dad wouldn't let us watch it when it first came out, and now he owns the first two seasons on DVD......what kind of show can make someone turn-around like that??

tie btwn the cosby show and everybody loves raymond---they both mimic real-life families so well, and they both just strike a cord with me and my family in their own quirky ways......always make me laugh.

Ummm...Russ (creator of this wonderful thread)? I don't think Honey should be allowed to changed her list. I mean, if "Designing Women" and "M*A*S*H" were such "favorites" of hers...don't you think she would have remembered them the first time??!? :p

A Random DphiE 06-09-2004 10:21 AM

Oh, I was making that list last night just before I went to bed - I was tired!!

Besides, when one has the site bookmarked (http://www.topthat.net/DWT/index2.html), and one's sorority sister is on the show, why, I just feel that changing mah mind is the only propah thang to do! ;)

Mr. KillarneyRose would agree with you on that one. I think one of the main reasons he liked it, though, is because when he was little he had the same New York Jets jacket that Kevin wears in the show. :)
