Best Coffee

So who has the best coffee in your area? I definately say Dunkin Donuts. Can't live without it. I am already on my 2nd iced coffee of the day (medium size light and sweet). YUMMY!!!!!
(Can't stand Starbucks, too bitter).

swissmiss04 06-02-2004 12:35 PM

Where I work...The Bad Ass Coffee Co. 100% Kona is awesome. Even people who don't like coffee all that much like this stuff.

I hate hate hate Starf*cks!

winneythepooh7 06-02-2004 12:43 PM

They have a Donkey as their mascot. I'd go to the one in Anchorage every so often.

1.) KoKopelli Coffee and Tea in Beautiful Shaker Heights Where I work.

2.) The Critic's Choice in Downtown Cleveland near Cleveland State.

3.) Arabica Coffee near Case Western Reserve University.

All three have the best Coffee.

Dunkin Donuts..

I'm a New England gal, so every corner has a Dunks.. love it! :D

Panera Breads has good coffee too though.

MattUMASSD 06-02-2004 01:13 PM

Dunks coffee taste like water, Im glad they introduced the lattes which are better. I enjoy starbucks, they are on just about every corner in DC. I enjoy the coffee, I also enjoy the atmosphere.

Lady Pi Phi 06-02-2004 01:13 PM

Tim Hortons

HBADPi 06-02-2004 02:03 PM

DD coffee might be a tad watery but as a New Englander it definitely grows on you. The ice coffees are a summer must! Being out west, it is definitely one of the things I miss the most. Shelling out 4 bucks for a coffee at Starbucks just doesnt do it for me so last time I was in Boston for spring break I stocked up on their coffee and I make my own DD at home :D .

LeslieAGD 06-02-2004 02:27 PM

Guess I'm in the minority, but I love Starbucks' frapuccinos.

Lady Pi Phi 06-02-2004 03:05 PM

If we're talking about fancy drinks, I prefer Starbucks.
But for regular ol' coffee, as I said before, Tim Hortons.

Taualumna 06-02-2004 04:33 PM

Timothy's World Coffee isn't too bad :) I prefer Second Cup for lattes and other "fancy" drinks though.

You and every single freaking 15 year old in the world. (Not knocking you....you're nice! :) ) Whenever I see a passel of high school kids come in to work my first thought is, "Oh isht, I'm going to have to make 15 billion frozen drinks and they're all going to ask for them as 'frappucinos' instead of 'blended lattes' and then look at me funny when I say,'We don't have frappucinos'." I never want to hear or see the word FRAPPUCINO ever again. Never ever ever.

FirstAndFinest 06-02-2004 05:10 PM

I don't get the whole frozen-fancy-coffee drink craze. I just like by hot, black Starbucks. I think I'm truly addicted to the stuff. Which I also think is the company's goal - and why they place the shops on corners to compete with the illegal-substances dealers... ;)

Can't stand DD; haven't tried the 7-11 or other shops' coffees.

aephi alum 06-02-2004 06:05 PM

There's a little place near my old office that makes THE BEST flavored coffees... vanilla, German chocolate... mmm! I used to get coffee there all the time. They sell the beans too; my husband still works in the area, so I make him pick up coffee beans every once in a while for our morning coffee. yum :)

Tom Earp 06-02-2004 06:47 PM

In Canada, Tim Horton's coffee is da bomb!

SmartBlondeGPhB 06-03-2004 12:21 AM

No one................:D

Can't stand the stuff, my drug of choice would be English Breakfast Tea.

swissmiss04 06-03-2004 12:27 AM

mmmmm...English Breakfast Tea. The breakfast of champions! Well, ok me. 1 spoon of sugar, please! :) Also a huge fan of Darjeeling and Earl Grey.

CatStarESP4 06-03-2004 12:58 AM

Starbucks! I love having a decaf, tall, organic or skim (milk) latte with my flavor syrup of choice.

When I was at Stony Brook, I drank Gloria Jean's at the local mall or the coffee they had at an off campus gourmet eatery called Strawberry Fields.

No you're not....I love them too (Toffee Nut and Vanilla are the only two I've tried, but still :D)

I also like Starbucks' White Chocolate Mocha (decaf), because my coffee has to be sweet enough that I really can't *taste* the coffee :D

Even when I get coffee at Circle K or 7/11, I use a lot of sugar and a lot of flavored creamer so I can't taste the coffee taste (especially the decaf taste :p)

Their new Vanilla Bean Frappucino ("Cafe Vanilla) is great, too!

UGAnchora 06-03-2004 10:08 AM

In Athens....

Jittery Joes

Blue Sky is popular, but I've never had it.

SigKapBling 06-03-2004 04:20 PM

im definitly in love with DD too ... used to have it all the time back in ny. but there are none out here in vegas
just recently got turned on to starbucks, because the only one close to me in upstate ny was 45 mins away and DD was always a better choice ... but so now im improvising with the DD-loss and fixing it with starbucks..
but at the house it definitly 8 o'clock bean coffee, that i can freshly grind whenever i want some gooood coffee...

...and i cant lie - everytime im back home in ny i always go to the mobil gas station and get their french vanilla cappucino's ..... SOO GOOD :) and cheap!!! :p

valkyrie 06-04-2004 12:23 AM

Intelligentsia Italian roast is the best coffee I've ever had. I also like Carabou's French roast and Rainforest blend -- unfortunately I can't get either of these out in the wild west. Peaberry isn't bad.
