How many jobs have you had total?
I have had a total of 6, but is working on my 7th hopefully by next week :D
I know people who have had 6-7 differnt jobs in one month. |
I've had 6 jobs including part time and summer work.
I've had 2 real full time jobs. Although one of them was only for a month because I was laid off. |
Counting summer jobs, I've had 7 so far.
If I didn't hate interviewing and job searching even more than staying in a job that I'm not thrilled with I would have probably had more. |
I've had four jobs, five if you count orientation at Old Navy.
|
Counting part time jobs?

I've worked at an apple orchard, McDonald's, Ponderosa (2 different ones), I waitressed at a hotel restaurant, worked in the movies, and worked in a pizza parlour. These were college jobs. Oh, I was also a RA in college. After college, I began my "career" jobs: I worked in a residential treatment program for emotionally disturbed children, then for 2 weeks I worked in a day treatment program for MR/DD but quit because the commute was too far, then I have been working in my current agency since 1999, however in multiple programs. I also worked for 2 years at another mental health agency in Manhattan.

In order:
1. McDonald's - worked 2 days and quit because they forgot to give me a weekend off that I told them about when I interviewed. 2. Fussy Dry Cleaners (that's really the name) - got fired because my best friend and I "worked" there...we really just goofed off...it was high school and we could have cared less. 3. YMCA - lifeguard & swim instructor at 2 different locations (Pittsford, NY and DeLand, FL). I worked at the one in FL the 4.5 yrs I was in school. (pt/ft) 4. Ernst & Young, LLP - paid internship (thanks mom!). (ft) 5. Old Navy - retail sales. (pt) 6. Innisbrook Resort - summer lifguard. (ft) 7. Stetson Univ. - summer swim instructor. (pt) 8. Lindell Motors - receptionist & 1st job out of college (bad market). (ft) 9. American Eagle - retail sales. (pt) 10. Awesome Rayz - tanning salon. (pt) 11. Center Academy - 3rd & 4th grade teacher...fired under contract and sued the school. (ft) 12. Morrison & Mills, P.A. - worked as their receptionist...one partner is an ATO and husband to a ZTA...they really helped me out with the job when I lost my teaching job. (ft) 13. Victoria's Secret - retail sales. (pt) 14. Oxford & Associates - technical recruiter, still don't understand why I was fired but I don't care because my boss was, well you get the point. (ft) 15. Kforce Professional Staffing - technical recruiter, now a service coordinator. I LOVE THIS JOB! 16. Forever 21 - retail sales. I quit because the store manager treated everyone like slaves and we had to stay until 1am. (pt) 17. Bath & Body Works - retail sales. I LOVE THIS JOB! (pt) ***I have excluded the 5-6 different temp jobs I've had since finishing school in 2001 as well. |
Hollywood Video (1 yr, 3 months) - Outlasted 3 managers and probably 25 employees. Would have been given supervisor duties except that I was under 18. Eventually got tired of all the stupid things people did with videos and dealing with stupid members, so I quit.
Subway - Worked there for a week...quit to start my present job. San Diego City School District (2 yrs, 8 months) - Custodian at two elementary schools. Yeah, I was a frickin janitor, but it paid 12 bucks an hour, times 30 hours a week equaled some serious bank. Budget cuts ended in all the college custodians getting laid off. SDSU Bookstore (seasonal) - I've never seen politicking this bad at a job. It was seasonal, but the best employees would get kept on. I knew that computer and all the skills like the back of my hand. But I guess since I didn't want to gel with the other workers there (they all had stuck up attitudes), they didn't keep me on. SDSU Annual Fund - Student assistant - Current job and love it. |

OMG there was this one 4th grader who looked so hot that I......NO OF COURSE NOT YOU PEDO IT WAS K-8
Oh wait, WTF am I thinking. At the first school, the 8th grade french teacher and the counselour were just outta college and hot as fizzy. The second school had a couple MILF teachers too It amazes me though how much faster kids are growing up. I remember the teachers always talked about this 7th grade girl who passed for 21 (I swear). She had at LEAST C cups, was taller than most of the staff, and had a fake ID that WORKED at the Indian Casinos and TJ (Well, that's not saying much) |
