When people post complaining about people who don't do searches..

I mean, if there are two threads about the same thing, has a crime been committed?

I agree! And I have to add... people who get all bent out of shape if a thread is "hijacked." I mean, HELLO, when you're having a real-life conversation, sometimes you get sidetracked, or the subject changes slightly because something that was said reminds you of something else! It's not the end of the world... but there are people who act like it is.

People who ALWAYS have to have the last word.

I think interruptions, changing subjects, and "hijacks" are one of the rudest things people can do in conversations. When you do that that, you take the floor from the person who started the thread/convo AND the people who are interested in the original topic. I understand that going on tangents are a natural thing, but if you do it over and over, especially when people call it to your attention, I think it's a sign of disrespect.

ETA: I think that the topic starter should pay attention to the "audience". It's nice to take others into consideration and switch topics if everyone acts bored. I have no problem if someone changes the subject if one person talks about brands of toothpaste for 20 minutes. :D

Perhaps I should have been more specific. I meant that I see nothing wrong with it if the "hijack" actually has something to do with the topic at hand.

In real life, I do really get irritated with interruptions, mostly because I'm a quiet person and I'm not good at jumping in for my moment in the spotlight. I suppose that on a message board, I feel that at least you can go right back to the original topic if you have something to say about it. In a real-life conversation, it's a little harder to do that.

And Sister Havana's annoyance reminded me... I hate it when people leave their turn signals on forever.

People who gets pissed off for no reason if someone makes a mistake.

Livery cab drivers. One just pissed me off when I went to get lunch. He cut me off then when I blared my horn at him he started playing the "let me drive fast then stop then drive fast again" game.

i hate it when people go crazy or are drama queens. i always try to avoid those people. and when i can't, i offer them a dooby and they usually calm down.

Yuppie businessmen who cut in the sub line during lunch hour.

People who drive slow, then speed up as you try to pass them.

People who drive really really fast, cut you off, then slow down to about 10 mph.

People who don't merge until the last possible minute, having to cut you off.

bad drivers. now i know that i am not the world's most perfect driver. but i hate when people drive like they got their license out of a crackerjack box.

Irresponsibility. Some of my co-workers are terrible about shafting their responsibilities and it can have some pretty nasty consequences for people who take over after their shift is over. Also, having issues w/ a certain family member who sees nothing wrong w/ quitting college and mooching off Daddy for the rest of her natural life. :rolleyes: What ever happen to a strong work ethic and being self sufficient?!

Horrible spelling and bad grammar.

Keep in mind that the above is not directed to anyone. I realize that some of you have that problem, but I make no apologies for getting annoyed by it. That's just me.

It takes a lot to annoy me since I am usually pretty patient. People who go out of their way to be rude or mean annoy me.

People who agree to something, can't follow through with it, then completely disregard it. Shows a real lack of integrity. If you're not going to follow the rules, why bother?

People with nasty feet who take their shoes off in class

Refusing to hear the message because of the messenger.

Not being able to admit when you've made a mistake, and being adult enough to move past it.

Cheesy cell 'phone rings in class, you're not as important as you think you are.

Making the rest of the world suffer due to your: low self esteem, "inadequecies", Napoleon Complex, impotence, or general egoism. Doesn't matter how loud you are, how much attention you want, or what a braggart you are. None of us care! Go find people who will pay attention to your temper tantrums, because it isn't tolerated.

The continual spelling error of intelligence, no comment.

This made me remember...when I was little I used to sit with my dad on the couch, usually down by his feet. He used to sit there and crack his toes and it terrified me! (I thought his toes would break) To this day hearing someone crack something makes me shiver, even if I'm cracking my own back or something.

People who join yahoogroups and then use them to solicit donations. Please don't.

Losers in Life...the guys who work as club promoters after college and hands out fliers, the girls who are now bartenders, the dumb folk, poor people, and moderate income people.

I totally agree. I also find this goes on so much in listservs. I belong to a bunch in yahoogroups for social work. For people who are supposed to be social-worky there are some real nasty people in those listservs. I feel bad for the clients they are dealing with:(

Somebody has to shine your shoes.

The best shoe shine I've ever had was in Hartford, CT. He spent frigging 15 minutes doing this with at least 5 different things he put on there. I didn't like the guy but I thought he was a great shoe shiner.

Peeps who write checks at the grocery store and wait till the total comes up before they begin to fill in the rest of the stuff; signature, store name, date. Like you didnt know you were at Randall's until the total came up? idiot.

Cashiers who hand you the paper bills before they give you coinage for your change. Do you knwo how hard it is to put away that way??? Coins first ; then paper.
