Update on Sk & MTV
 

We will NOT have to wear our letters or even say that we are members of a sorority. We will all just be a bunch of college girls having fun in our bathing suits. I don't like the bathing suit thing but I know it's common on MTV.

Thanks to all the people who are very supportive of college girls having fun. It's no more or less what you see on the sprink break shows on MTV. We will not be representing SK b/c there will be NO mention of any sorority and ABSOLUTELY NO letters are being worn.

To Tom, your undending criticism makes me sad for you. It's very obvious that you have long since forgotten what it was like to be young and to have fun. Since you have forgotten what fun is, just watch MTV on Monday & perhaps your creaky, dusty, & senile brain might remember your long lost youth unless you are what I have long since suspected, a judgemental prick.

Oh lord, it's portraying college girls as having fun. Heaven forbid that! You've obviously never watched TRL or the beach house stuff recently. People are having a good time and unless it's a show like the inferno or real world there's not going to be negative editing. Some of that stuff is live so there isn't any editing.

Quite honestly Tom I've lurked on this board quite a lot and I'm sick of you posting incoherent thoughts that don't have any basis. You act like you know everything about everything. I don't disagree that you've been in greek life longer than I have and that you've probably done more than I have in greek life. I also don't profess to know everything about greek life but I haven't had the time to do it that you have had. I'm an active member of my chapter, former exec member and currently VP Finance of the Panhellenic system. I'm not a slacker when it comes to taking responsibility in my chapter. So please don't write this off as some young whipper snapper getting upset with you, but you're rude and disrespectful to anyone other than Conard who is a whole other story. I'm not going to get into a flame war with you and I've said my piece but I just think you might want to try and write a coherent post for once. You aren't supposed to hit enter after every line if you haven't figured that one out yet.

Have many seen the events of what MTV has done to Greeks on their show, yes.

Is that why most Soroities and Fraternities refuse to allow their members to be on and filmed by MTV, yes.

Do I back Hoosier and exlurker when the post events about what Greeks do to get taken off of a campus for events that should not have been done.

Well...It might be hard to pick out who we are b/c we will definitely NOT be wearing any letters or have any association with SK during the filming. We'll just be wearing bikinis!

However, just look for the hottest ladies w/the biggest smiles & you'll know you found us!!!:D

I'll enlighten you. TRL is also known as Total Request Live, a show which does a top 10 countdown every day that has the audience members participate in contests and shout outs to their favorite artists. A lot of times you'll see people in letters in the background just being themselves. You may see people dancing and just having a general good time. There's no alcohol or race issues involved and there's posts on here regularly about people in letters spotted on TRL.

I unfortunately have been called into work today early (which is my second day this holiday weekend of working two shifts) so I won't be able to watch. :( I hope it goes well for everyone out in Cali! :D

Here's to hoping that GC gets a spell check for some people.
