Hey yall! I actually think I might go! I only have time/money for one weekend away and I really do need to get away by myself so I may be coming. Cleveland is the only major city in Ohio that I have not been to.

Man, I don't think I've been to Geauga Lake since Grad Night in '92. It was just too janky. I was always about Cedar Point. But now Geauga Lake done came up, changed it's name, and got a roller coaster that simulates flying?!! Oh, I'm all over that.

BTW, I just want to let yall know, I DON'T DO WATER RIDES! AT ALL! I AM AFRAID OF WATER, AND I DON'T MESS AROUND. PERIOD!

Just a little FYI...me and my BF got some tix this weekend (sorry cant make it to the GC fest going on another vacation that weekend) we went to my credit union and they were $29.00 (for six flags AND Cedar Point) I live in Mich but I assume they may have some at credit unions in OH.

There is a PLETHORA or information on this page, from ticket costs to a link for maps/directions to hotel accommodations. For all who don't know, the park is located in Northeast, Ohio, about 15-30 minutes away from the east side suburbs of Cleveland (Bedford, Warrensville, etc).

It lists the cost of admission as $38.99. Now, I know that Wendy's had some coupons that are good for $10 off regular admission, good for up to six adults. Everyone try and get one! LOL!

Did I cover everything? I am still going to look for hotels in the Bedford/Rockside Road area just because I'm sure it's cheaper than the hotels the park recommends. I'll post that information this afternoon after lunch.

I'm also looking into seeing if we can get a group rate. But I don't know if we'll have enough people. So far I think that there are only about 10 of us going. Not enough for a group rate, most likely.

Don't get me wrong, I like Cleveland -- even if they can't think of a new name for a football team and use one from the team that abandoned them. And don't worry, someday the Browns will beat the Broncos.

We are meeting at the Park on Sunday, 8-12-01, at 9:30am. The park opens at 10am, so this should give us time to congregate and whatnot. I don't want to waste any of my park time waitin' on folks, lol. We will meet directly to the RIGHT of where the ticket lines are. This way we can share coupons and what not. I will have balloons in NPHC colors. (CARLA: where can we get the balloons in Cleveland??) The weekend overall was cool. The spa was cool, relaxing and well needed. It was a little different, though, but it was cool. We didn't go to the park, though.

Friday and Saturday we hung out with the Nupes, went to the vendors, went to a couple of clubs, had a couple of drinks. Cool enough.

Sunday, we all (me, CT4, Kel, and OA) went to the park, but we didn't go in. It was raining, who wanted to risk it raining all day for $40? We didn't get to see OA because he was LATE! BOO! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif So we left before he even got there. Then, we went to breakfast, shopping, and to see Rush Hour 2.

All in all, I'd have to say it was a good weekend.
