Gilmore Girls

Anyone watch this show or watch the season finale last night? It was SO GOOD!!!

AEPhiSierra 05-19-2004 11:58 AM

Gilmore Girls is definitely my fave show but I missed it last night cuz I have night classes. Luckily I got one of my littles to tape it - I can't wait to watch it!!

Lady Pi Phi 05-19-2004 12:17 PM

I watched last night! I've missed several episodes.

I felt so awful for Rory and normally I never feel bad for the "other woman"
I don't think Dean will ever leave Lindsay for Rory (wasn't he supposed to be a new show?)

What a traumatic first time. She thought she was with someone she loved and now she's realizing that he probably doesn't love her.

Oh my poor Rory, I dod feel bad for her.

Taualumna 05-19-2004 12:51 PM

Luke and Lorelai :D But I do feel sorry for Rory :( I understand that the guy that helped her with the move, the guy we met last week, will be her love interest next season.

ADPiShannan 05-19-2004 01:06 PM

I am def excited about Luke and Lor. Its about dang time. Ive been waiting for that forever. Itll be soooo sad though if it doesnt work out. I want them together. Its about time she finds the right guy and settles down already.

As for Rory, I feel terrible. I think she was caught up in it, cause she still loves him, but I agree, he wont leave Lindsey. I mean she answered his phone when Rory called so I bet he wont leave her. I wonder if Rory will really want to be with him and itll get back to Lindsey that they slept together. You have to feel bad for her even if she is "the other woman" First times are lasting memories and I dont know if it would something to remember later if he never leaves his wife. Maybe she should have gone with Jess after all.

I think Dean is 100% better than Jess, but they were the cutesy couple who did no wrong. With Jess, he makes her do things she wouldnt normally do and she needs that. She needs to let go, shes only what 18-19 on the show. She needs to have some fun, not be serious ALL the time....

What do ya'll think of Paris and the Prof? I had to laugh, I wonder if anything till come of it next season or theyll break up?

the jerky guy who left her at the bar? I hope not :(

Taualumna 09-22-2004 08:19 PM

What did everyone think of the season premiere last night?

Unregistered- 09-22-2004 08:24 PM

I was disappointed, and I was expecting more for the first episode.

It's disheartening to see Rory and Lorelai at odds...and I wonder how things will pan out now that Rory and Grandma go to Europe.

Since this episode shows Rory just back home for the summer from college, I wonder if they're going to jump ahead and fast forward to the present?

Taualumna 09-22-2004 08:29 PM

From what I read in the spoilers, the next episode will still be summer, and will show Emily and Rory in Europe. We don't get to the present until episode 3. I did find the whole Kirk "butt issue" hilarious :) I am happy about the whole Luke and Lorelai thing :D

valkyrie 09-22-2004 08:47 PM

Last night's episode seemed like it should have been the season finale last year. I was expecting them to start in the fall and have some resolution to these stories, but instead they really just ended with mini-cliffhangers.

Did anyone watch last night? I was watching the game so I missed it -- what happened?

sigmagrrl 10-20-2004 01:35 PM

I always DVR it so I can watch it on the weekends and fast forward thru the commercials...

I was watching the game as well and at 8:30 I suddently realized what time it was so taped the rest. Nothing big or important happened in the last 30 minutes. Lorelai talked to her mom and dad about maybe trying to talk to each other again and not through their servants and at the end of the episode her dad comes over and tells Lorelai's mom that their tax this year is wrong so hes going to contest it and that he joined a Barbershop quartet. Lorelai, Luke, Rori, and Dean go on a double date to the local movie theater to watch Cool Hand Luke but end up watching Pippi Longstocking (totally forgot about that movie until last night haha). Luke's not very nice to Dean and they start shoving each other around after the movie so Dean and Rori leave. Lorelai asks Luke what his problem is and he says he doesnt trust Dean and that hes not good enough for Rori and he doesnt want to see her get hurt. That's pretty much all I remember of importance. Next week's episode should be good though. Christopher (Rori's dad) comes back into the picture!

Thanks!!

Optimist Prime 10-20-2004 05:08 PM

I'm watiching it now on ABC family. I was watching boys meets world, but now this is on. I think full house was threre for awhile. I haven't been paying attention since Topanga moved off srceen camera right. She has sexy legs.

Optimist Prime 10-20-2004 05:13 PM

that fat girl is annoying. is she the same actress that played the fat annoying girl who had a crush on zack morris?

That girl is cute in her little plaid skirt though.

cutiepatootie 10-20-2004 05:16 PM

I'm assuming you're talking about Sookie.

But no, she and the chick who crushed on Zack are not the same person. The SBTB chick was almost the same height as ZM. Sookie's definitely tres petite.

And, coming from a girl who's worn many a plaid skirts as her uniform in her life, the Chilton uniform's pretty bleh.

valkyrie 10-20-2004 05:39 PM

Didn't they stop wearing Chilton uniforms about 900 years ago?

The ABC Family reruns haven't gone past the first season yet, therefore Rory's still in her junior year at Chilton.

Currently on the WB Rory just started her sophomore year at Yale.

Yea, my skirt were colorful. My high school one was several shades of green with yellow and white. Plus we got to were a green or white (or gold if any of our sports teams were in the play offs, which was practically year round) polo shirt with our school mascot and name over the heart. Plus we got those big hoodie sweatshirts to take a nap in if we wanted. I miss my hoodie, it cost me $60 but was well worth it.

I can't wait to see next week's episode!

Rory's one-upping Alexandra Robbins and she's pledging a secret society at Yale to get a story!

efcheerBB 10-27-2004 11:06 AM

I am not at all surprised about next weeks episode. I mean with someone like Rory, the only thing I am surprised about is that they haven't addressed something like this on the show already. But then again, I guess secret societies may not take Freshmen into their hollowed halls...But what would I know, I am not in a secret society.

But, am I the only one that thinks that this may be a trick by that guy? Like it's all a joke to him?

valkyrie 10-27-2004 11:57 AM

I do love the show, but having Rory get all Alexandra Robbins is kind of lame. They really need to be careful about the characters all getting out of control and becoming uber-annoying. Kirk can be over the top and it's fine, but last night Sookie needed to be smacked upside the head and Lorelai really needs to lay off the coffee and maybe start smoking weed so she'll calm the hell down for just a minute. I don't like it when characters start to get too one-dimensional, which it seems to me is starting to happen.

It could be, but many sites are calling Logan Rory's new love interest. I think he'd be a breath of fresh air for her!

HBADPi 10-27-2004 03:28 PM

Didnt Suki JUST have a kid? And shes pregnant again? So much for not wanting kids. The way the writers introduced that in last nights show was lame.

Oh my god you're taking lunch away and I'm freaking out. Oh my god I'm pregnant?! They could have come up with something better.

Maybe Luke should replace all his regular coffee with decaf. :)

Not only that, but hey...let's bring in Norman Mailer to tell the world that the resident psycho chef is spawning again!

The title of the episode was really called "Norman Mailer! I'm Pregnant!"

Exactly. She's a wreck with one kid, so how obnoxious is she going to be once she has two? Ugh.

Especially now that Jackson's the Town Selectman.

They hardly ever show the first baby....why is there a need for one more? Annoying people like that (fictional characters or not) should NOT BE ALLOWED TO SPAWN.

Sookie is not as annoying as Kirk. At least Kirk isn't getting women pregnant. Makes you wonder what kind of kid you're going to get if Sookie was married to Kirk.

Watching tonight's show tonight and I just had to say that I LOVE Rory's dress. I just spent all weekend trying to find a dress for the ADPi formal I have to attend as an advisor and I never saw anything cute like that!

Unregistered- 11-03-2004 01:57 AM

Oh, to be part of the LDB. I would have loved to umbrella jump!

I can't wait to see things blossom between Rory and Logan. :D

i want that dress!

sigmagrrl 11-10-2004 09:27 AM

I just watched the Umbrella Jump episode (I DVR'd it)....That was possibly the best episode of the season!!!

Luke at the golf course with Lorelai's dad was FUNNY AS HELL!!

I can't wait for that one to repeat!!!!!!1
(I had to delete it to make more room on the disk!)

Diamond Delta 11-10-2004 10:51 AM

I watched last night. Annoying! I would kill my grandparents if they ever acted like that I would def. kill my family if they barged in on me like that. of course no one in my family went to Yale so I guess i don't have to worry about them not wanting me to marry "down".

I'd be upset too. I think my parents want to do this...they want to ship me off to China for Mandarin lessons, because those Mandarin Immersion programs have lots of well-educated Overseas (meaning Canadian, Aussie, American, British...) Chinese guys...

valkyrie 11-10-2004 12:18 PM

Please, oh please, make Luke's sister and her freak of a husband move far far away and never appear on the show again.

Unregistered- 11-10-2004 02:31 PM

I swear it seemed as if Luke's sister and her husband are annoying little mosquito bites that just don't go away.

I like Dean, but I think it's time Rory moved on for a while. It was kinda sad to see him say "I don't belong here" and drive off, but I liked seeing Rory hanging out and having fun with Logan and the boys.

Can't wait till next week when Emily says she's ready to date!

The dress is at Macy's! I went to Black Diamond Ball last weekend for the chapter I advise and one of the new members was wearing that very dress! I asked her wear she got it and she said Macy's!

Just FYI in case anyone wants it like me ;).
