Full House

I was just watching Full House, and Danny and Joey broke into a Lambda Tau Delta sorority meeting dressed as women and tried to steal their mascot, the seal. I used to watch this show all the time, but I didn't remember seeing Greek Life in it before.

smiley21 05-16-2004 02:35 PM

i remember that episode. actually in the show, danny and joey are fraternity brothers. they talk about it on earlier episodes

OMG I hate Full House! Their reruns on Nick at Nite and ABC Family are seriously controlling my life! ;)

I have my favorite episodes though... The one where they come to Hawaii and go to Potato Chip Island, Becky & Jesse's Wedding, DJ winning the radio contest to see the Beach Boys...but my favorite episodes have to be the ones where Michelle can't talk yet. :D

WHAT AN INJUSTICE!!!!!!!

DeltaSigStan 05-16-2004 06:17 PM

Was Full House on TGIF? Or did it start out on it's own slot?

Either way, I still watched it. Mushy, but great for what it was.

Full House did begin airing on Friday nights in 1987. TGIF did not actually start until 1990

Remeber the original TGIF?

Full House
Family Matters
Perfect Strangers
Just The Ten Of Us

FYI- there was also a very short lived show that was in TGIF's early days called "Going Places". i remember that it was about four friends (two guys and two girls). kinda of like "Friends"

did you know that Family Matters is a spin off of Perfect Strangers? Harriet Winslow started on Perfect Starangers working at the Chicago Chronicle with Larry and Balki

i miss those days *sigh*

DeltaSigStan 05-16-2004 06:55 PM

Yep, Harriet was the Elevator Operator at the "cousins" workplace.

I remember Balki Bartakamous.

I still remember that episode of Growing Pains where they introduced Coach Lubbock and his family...starting the spinoff "Just the Ten of Us". I wonder whatever happened to the kids. I know Jamie Luner's done a bunch of Made for TV movies but I haven't heard anything about the other kids.

Lady Pi Phi 05-17-2004 01:06 PM

I don't remember the show "Just the Ten of Us".

PlymouthDZ 05-17-2004 01:27 PM

I watched that Full House episode lastnight.

I loved FH as a kid.. but now, its kind of like a train wreck.. you don't want to watch it, but for some reason you can't help but to watch it.

I agree w/ the comment about the bets ones being before michelle could talk. She (they) were so adorable as little kiddos.. not so much now.

I LOVED Growing Pains.. I remeber crying when Carol left(went to college..).. and my brother making fun of me aofr WEEKS about it.

TGIF used to rock.. now it stinks.

I loved Just the Ten of Us! The dad was a Catholic School basketball coach, and they had 8 kids. It was hilarious.

There were 2 shows on TGIF that were short-lived that I remember... one called "Honey, I'm Home" about the 50's black-and-white TV family living beside a modern family, and one about some little baby or something (the theme song was "I like bread and butter, I like toast and Jam...."). I loved "Honey, I'm Home," but I was also about 8 at the time :)

"Hi Honey I'm Home" moved to Nick at Nite for a little while after it left ABC.
Also, remember the show "Dinosaurs"?

That was THE most obnoxious show.

"Not the baby" *SMACK*

Hahahaha...I used to love that show. The baby cracked me up!

jess_pom 05-17-2004 02:31 PM

Ahhh... this thread is bringing back so many good memories. Remember Step by Step? I loved that show, and Honey I'm Home, it was stellar. I remember that show with the baby, I think it was a spinoff of "Look Who's Talking" the movie, but I don't remember. And Just the 10 of Us. Wow... TGIF used to ROCK.

Full House used to be on on Tuesdays, though. I used to have to tape it because I had 4H meetings on Tuesdays.

I don't remember who the other kids were....might have to do a search on that one :D

It was so weird to see Jamie Luner on Navy NCIS, where she's supposed to be this attractive woman but turns out to be a guy waiting to have the operation to "become" female in order to esxape being caught and prosecuted for a crime.

I vaguely remember that show...must have seen just two or three episodes of it I think.

Wasn't AJ McLean (of the Backstreet Boys) in that show? I remember seeing something about that on "Before They Were Stars".

Ooo, the show was called "Baby Talk". I remember that one.

What was the name of the show where the chick would touch her two pointer fingers together and stop time? Her father was like an alien or something and she had these magical powers...and she communicated w/ him through a crystal. I swear they had a show like that!

I remember "Dinosaurs" - that show was definitely obnoxious! I don't remember "Honey I'm Home" though...maybe vaguely?

AXiD, the show was called "Out of this World". LOL, ZTAngel asked the same question a few weeks ago and we all had a good time reminiscing about Evie, her mom (Mrs. Stevens on Even Stevens), and her hottie BF (Steve Burton - yum yum).

WCUgirl 05-17-2004 05:50 PM

Oops! Missed that question. Didn't mean to be redundant.

Yes, that's the one I'm thinking of though. I remember the episode where she stopped time to take a calculus quiz, but she was "abusing" her power, so when it came time for the test, she bombed.

does anyone know where the staircase from the kitchen in full house goes to?? the staircase in the living room goes up to the hallway where all the rooms are. like there's a shot of them in the hallway going downstairs, and the next shot is of them going down the living room stairs. but you never see that with the kitchen stairs....

A lot of sitcoms were like that -- they had stairs that led to who knows where?

Cosby Show, Step by Step, Growing Pains, to name a few.

I personally thought that house was HUGE compared to the houses in San Francisco that I used to live in.

Those stairs went down to Joey's room I thought. Remember - Jesse had band practices in there for a while...they had that little red light that was supposed to signal no one to go in there because he was recording.

The stairs in question weren't those stairs. There was another set of kitchen stairs toward the back right end of the kitchen that led to the second floor where the bedrooms were. The end of those stairs were never shown on the second floor.

But I do know what stairs you're talking about. It used to be the garage, then Joey's room, then Jesse's recording studio.

Taualumna 05-17-2004 09:53 PM

Don't forget that the stairs also leads upstairs (though I'm not sure where...just like most sitcoms). Likely, the Tanner house is actually very old, but has been renovated several times. Lots of older houses have two staircases, one for "the family" and another for "the help". That's what I've been told by several people, anyway.

haha.. i just finished watching Full House. I have no clue about the kitchen stairs. It is just like the kitchen stairs on The Cosby Show...

Was that the twin convention episode where Stephanie was pretending to be twins to get with the cute twin boys?

rayray 05-18-2004 02:02 PM

Probably because she is a year younger then me and it wouldnt make sense for them to be in the episode when Nikki and Alex were in a twin competition...unless those kids were all ages too....i should really find out, haha

Xylochick216 05-18-2004 08:34 PM

The one with Nicky and Alex was twins of all ages, so it probably was that one :)
