Rose, Thorn and Buds
 

This is a version of "Highs and Lows".. I got this from the RA staff I worked on last year and I was reminded of it from the PBF forum.

here's the idea:

Rose = Something Good that happened to you this week
Bud = Something You're looking forward to in the next week
Thorn = Something not so great that happened in the last week.

here's mine:

Rose - I bought my plane tickets to Maryland on Friday for May 29th-June 7th
Bud - Classes end on Friday
Thorn - My mom got mad at me because I could get home for Mother's Day

Rose: Got my grades from my first semester of grad school - 2 As and a B-

Bud: Hmmm. I don't have anything, yet!

Thorn: Was feeling kinda lonely.

This is SUCH a cute idea!

Rose: I got a 3.5 this semester!
Bud: I'll be done moving after this weekend which makes me SO excited!
Thorn: It's taking me much longer than I thought to pack. :(

ok.. so we can make it for the day to get more participation.. (maybe ;)

Rose = I had a great day at school today, my gifted and talented class that I work with was AWESOME!
Bud = Tonight is Bar night with my best friends
Thorn =i got a bugbite on my pinkie toe lastnight and it hurts like a bugger :P

Rose: Bought a new pink tank sweater and a copy of Love Actually.

Thorn: Had to take my daughter to get her first set of shots today. I think I cried more than she did! :(

Bud: Looking forward to hanging out with my husband Saturday night (baby is having a sleepover at Grandma's!)

How old's your daughter? :)

2 months yesterday!

Rose = Found out that my boyfriend is coming home from TX June 12th instead of the 17th!
Bud = Will find out if I got the new job that I want!
Thorn = Spent $500 on new clothes for the new job!

Rose = My final paper for economics is done.. with an hour before class to spare!!
Bud = in 2 hours, I will be done with classes for the year
Thorn =I need to start studying for finals.. it should be a dull weekend! :(

Rose: My student loan payment has been deferred until I graduate from grad school!

Bud: There's actually good stuff on TV tonight.

Thorn: My roommates are out of town this week, so I'll be super lonely :(

Rose- I had a relaxing weekend, I spent sopme QT with my Little :)
Bud- Summer starts this week for me! :D

Rose: I'm DONE moving and got some awesome furniture on sale!
Bud: I'm going home soon to see my family
Thorn: Stupid drama with some of my frends

Rose = I got a Finals Treat Pack from my bosses this morning.. it had Sponge Bob Cheeze-Its in it and a mini magic 8ball.. My Bosses rock! :D
Bud = only 12 days left until I get to see my boyfriend again! Yay!
Thorn = THis weekend was dull.. all my roomates left for the weekend so I was super lonely. :(

Congratulations! What's your new job?

Rose: I hung out with one of my friends that I haven't seen in forever last night! It was so much fun to catch up with him!
Bud: Going home this weekend to see the family and hopefully get some shopping done.
Thorn: I was late to work this morning. :(

Rose: My son's baseball team won their game last night & he made a sweet double play (he's 8...so that's exciting).
Bud: Decided we are going to San Antonio to visit some old friends for Memorial Day
Thorn: Still no new clients....lots of potential, but no one is committing!

It'll be okay PlymouthDZ...it's not your fault it's not done on time!
Is there anyway you could get the video shown/given-out at a later date?

I know it isn;t, but I got the girls all excited, so I feel badly.
I'm just goign to send it to them this summer and explain the situation at Sneior Send Off.


I do have a new rose though!!

Rose: I talked to pixell and DZGirl for a while today!! WooHoo for connecting with sisters all over the country! :D

Yay! That was fun! :-D hope your exams are going well!

Rose: Finally having enough time to devote energy to my chapter's website.
Bud: I get to hang out with my brother this weekend!
Thorn: I hate when people try and take over what I'm doing.

Rose: Got to hang out with Kim today, and my mouth is healing up nicely.

Bud: Excited that Jenni (my bro's high school gf and my former babysitter) is coming to Mom's Pampered Chef party Sunday.

Thorn: I do NOT (repeat, do NOT) feel like going to work tonight. Blech :p

I have on giant thorn this evening...

I lost a very close friend of mine today.. very unexpectedly and in a "freak" accident.

I am in complete and utter shock and disbelief. :(

Please, ladies.. tell the people you love how much they mean to you.. NOW. Go hug them, PLEASE. You never know when God is going to open his arms and welcome your loved one into Heaven.

I'm so sorry this is so morid and all.. but my real point was just to let you ladies know that I do care about you.. even though we're relatively new an still quite unfamiliar with eachother.

Take care of yourselfs, and the ones you love. And don't forget to smile.. you never know who's life you are touching.

Rose - I get to see my parents tomorrow.. I haven't seen them in almost a month.
Bud - Tomorrow afternoon/night is my RA staff party.. woohooo for playin beruit (beer pong) with my bosses!! :p
Thorn - It has been a rough couple of days..

My parents bought me a new car this week!!!! :D

Rose: I think I found some of the "lost" sisters from my chapter strip list.

Bud: My roomies come home tonight - no more being bored and lonely!

Thorn: I've been battling migraines on and off the last couple of days.

PlymouthDZ, I hope you're feeling much better! You and yours are definitely in my thoughts!

Here are mine for the day:

Rose: I'm back in my own space in my apartment after having a great (though stressful) weekend back home.
Bud: Going to call some friends tonight or tomorrow and hopefully find someone to hang out with.
Thorn: I'm lonely. :( I miss my best friend! She graduated and moved back home.

I still have yet to find out what kind of car.. they're keeping it a secret from me.. damn parents:p

Rose- I am almost completely packed and ready to go home
Bud- I'm going to mary;and this weekend for 2 weeks.. to see my boyfriend.. YAY!!!
Thorn - We had really bad thunderstorms lastnight and they kept me up. :(

Rose: My allergies are finally going away.
Bud: I'm bidding on a songbook on ebay...I'm excited, I'm trying to get a collection...Don't bid against me! :)
Thorn: Still a little bit lonely..:(

I know EXACTLY what you mean! my best friend (and roomate) went home for the summer on Saturday.. I'm so lonely without her.

Side note:
Yay concerning the boyfriend! I can't imagine not seeing mine for 4 months! You guys must have a strong relationship, congrats! :)

I have a new rose! Two of my chapter girls were in the lab so I got to talk to them...yay! I never see anyone anymore, but seeing our girls and having quick chats reminds me what it's about. I have all these awesome girls, even the ones I don't really know, that I have something amazing in common with.
So yeah..yay..I'm in a good mood again.

Its been a sucky 4 months, let me tell you :p He bought a house last summer and is doing rennovations then he's traveling for work.. so there's no money and no time to come to visit. 5 years and still going strong ;) Its ok though, it will all be worth it when I move to Maryland/Virginia next Spring!! :)
