I hate my bedroom.

It needs redecorating

PlymouthDZ 05-11-2004 05:38 PM

I love the walls around my bed (my bed is in a little corner/nook in my room) The walls are covered in pictures and such. I love having my friends, family and memories around me, often. :)

At my boyfriend's house.. I LOVE his bed. Its super comfy :D

I love my bed; queen sized cherry wood sleigh bed with really, really good sheets, cuddly down comforter, fur throw and kazillions of pillows. It's my little oasis. My bed kicks a$$!

I'm in the process of packing up my school bedroom to move back home til I find a job. My room at home is still decorated from high school.... it needs a major makeover

sairose 05-11-2004 08:43 PM

My bedroom here at home needs SERIOUS redecorating. :D

For my dorm room here in Germany -- I love my balcony. That wall is all windows with a glass door onto the balcony. I'm on the 12th floor so I get a great view and I can see the castle, the river, and the mountains. So pretty!

So jealous of your balcony!! :p

Not up currently because I'm in the process of moving, but I always have lots of pictures and postcards up near my bed. :) However, 2 of my favorite wall decorations are already up in my new bedroom--my framed invitation to join DZ and my wall letters (which are purple, my favorite color, and completely awesome!)

Ginger 05-12-2004 11:51 AM

I love my duvet.... my fiance and I bought it as a treat for ourselves when we were registering. It's so nice and warm, and pretty :)

adpialumcsuc 05-12-2004 12:24 PM

My King size bed. When we first bought it, it seemed huge but now once you get the cat, the dog, my husband and myslef in the bed it is very cozy

XOMichelle 05-12-2004 12:26 PM

My bedroom is too small with no storage. I need a new place to live.

PhiPsiRuss 05-12-2004 12:34 PM

I love my king size bed, with a bookshelf integrated into the headboard, and the thermopedic mattress.:)

ISUKappa 05-12-2004 01:05 PM

I third the snuggly down comforter. The duvet cover is kind of a PITA, but there's nothing better than wrapping that cozy comforter around me on a chilly night. Unless, of course, it's Mr. ISUKappa. :)

After that, it's the three antique b/w photos of British countryside I have matted and framed and hanging on our olive green walls.

swissmiss04 05-12-2004 05:11 PM

King size bed. The whole room has sort of an exotic theme. I have a palm tree in the corner. Very fun. It definitely relaxes me.

ZTAMich 05-12-2004 05:34 PM

I love love love my full sized bed. I know it's small to you queen and kingers, but I had a twin growing up and in college and now having a full is a big dream come true. It was free with the sublease I have and I may just pay to have it come along with me when I move later this summer.

At my ex's...I love his high queen sized bed and high thread count sheets...

I'm looking forward to moving into my summer housing...ah! hardwood floors!

sageofages 05-13-2004 12:02 AM

You mean you all sleep there? My bedroom door has a sign that says "Mom and Dad's Playroom....you BETTER knock!"

(uh...how do you think we got to be 'Mom and Dad'?) :D

GMUBunny 05-13-2004 12:22 AM

My room needs some serious help. First of all, my mom gave me all of my sister's furniture when we moved into this house, and it's all so big that I have absolutely no room. Second, when I moved up to GMU, mom stashed my old, ratty, comfortable bedspread in the closet and bought white, frilly, itchy stuff (and put the canopy on the bed). The first time I came home I screamed, demanded to have my old bedspread back, and ripped the place apart so that it looked like my room again. When I left, it went back to white frilly sh*t.

Now that I'm home for good until the wedding, I've tried to make my room as comfortable as possible. Hard when you can't move around, but it's alright. Now Mr. Bunny's room is smaller than mine, but he has a queen size bed that I love. We picked it out together 2 years ago. We're looking to upgrade to a king size once we find a place and move, though. Sleeping with a 6'6 man in a queen size bed is about the equivalent to sleeping with a normal guy in a full size bed. I make myself comfortable on my little slice of the mattress and try to avoid his knees and elbows when he decides to spread out :p

AOIIsilver 05-13-2004 08:22 AM

I love this large photo (3 feet by 2 feet) that is framed in an antique gilt frame that hangs directly in front of our bed. It is a picture of my niece and I dressed in matching rolled-up jeans and red shirts with our long blonde hair trailing in the wind as we hold hands and run into the ocean. Mr. Silver took the picture on Christmas eve.
It is so peaceful and happy....
:)

My room right now consists of boxes piled everywhere. I hate unpacking. Plus, I have no furniture, since it's already been moved to storage for my house at school next year.

Amen to that! I LOVE our king size bed, with me, him,and both cats-who take up more bed than he and I do! Super high thread count sheets, a big fluffy duvet, and down pillows. We have three bay style windows that look out over our pretty back yard, with no curtains or blinds or anything(no neighbors around us) so the mornings are beautiful and bright, with the birds outside.....NOT a good room for hangovers though. I LOVE our room-my man calls it "The Honeymoon Suite"

AOIIsilver 06-24-2004 12:06 AM

Oh, my goodness....Momma Silver bought me the best thing ever today. It is a super warm fluffy bedspread that has a nicely hidden zipper and velco patches. You can literally zip yourself into the bedspread and then velco the top of the bespread over your shoulders. It is WONDERFULLY warm and snug....Have any of you seen these before?

Snugsacks! We used to have one and I adored it, but my mom disposed of it when I left for college - I was not a happy camper.

nucutiepie 06-28-2004 11:53 AM

At home: my bed... down featherbed, down comforter, high threadcount sheets, down pillows. Its like a little nest.

In Australia: well, the bed is relatively comfortable... for a dorm bed.
