Flippies and Sandals
 

Although I don't wear sandals or flippies, I thought I'd pass this on to the ladies.

Hey Ladies,
It's that time again ............... Thank goodness! Just a friendly
reminder, it's that time of the year again.
Please raise your big toes and repeat after me:
As a member of the Faux Paul Sisterhood, I pledge to follow The Rules when I wear sandals and other open-toe shoes:

I promise to always wear sandals that fit. My toes will not hang over and touch the ground, nor will my heels spill over the backs. And the sides andtops of my feet will not purge out between the straps.

I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and
chip-free.

I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.

I will sand down any mounds of skin before they turn hard and yellow - or grate them with that cheese grater looking thing.
I will shave the hairs off my big toe-better yet, I will get them layered so they never ever come back!

I won't wear pantyhose even if my delusional girlfriend, coworker, mother, sister tells me the toe seam really will stay under my toes if I tuck it there. NO NO NO.

If a strap breaks, I won't duct-tape, pin, glue or tuck it back into place hoping it will stay put. I will get my shoe fixed or toss it.

I will not live in corn denial; rather I will lean on my good friend Dr.
Scholl's if my feet need him.

I will resist the urge to buy jelly shoes at Payless for the low, low price of $4.99 even if my feet are small enough to fit into the kids' sizes. This is out of concern for my safety, and the safety of others. No one can walk properly when standing in a pool of sweat and I would hate to take someone down with me as I fall and break my ankle.

I will take my toe ring off toward the end of the day if my toes swell and begin to look like Vienna sausages.

I will be brutally honest with my girlfriend/sister/coworker when she asks me if her feet are too ugly to wear sandals. Someone has to tell her that her toes look like they've been dragged behind her car on the way to work and no sandal in the world is going to make her feet look good.

I will promise if I wear flip flops, that I will ensure they actually flip
and flop, making the correct noise while walking and I will swear NOT to slide or drag my feet while wearing them.

I will promise to go to my neighborhood nail salon at least twice a month and have a real pedicure (they are about $15 and worth EVERY penny). I say spend another $15.00 and get an even better one.

I will promise to throw away any white/off-white sandals that show signs of wear...nothing is tackier than dirty white sandals.
For all our sakes, please don't keep this to yourself pass it on to other Sisters. May God Bless your Soles as well as your Soul

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

I just got the fresh pedicure today. It was different getting the $15 pedi vs. the $30 one. I miss my Caribbean nail tech!

BTW, why did I honestly see a chick at my job violating by having the big toes painted bright pink but the other toes were unpainted? :confused: Does she need us to take up a collection to keep up the pedi? :rolleyes:

I HATE the sound that flip flops make. Something about it just makes my inner ear twitch.:(

I'm with you. I hate that sound also. We have casual dress (except when the lawyers go to court of course) except for me which is fine but I sit in the front of the office and the sucky thing is secretaries (we have 5) all on occasion wear those things. We have a huge circular office and they walk back and forth a lot, at the minimum 15 times a day. AAARRRGGGHHH:mad:It's enough to drive me mad!

I just have one request. Please don't show off your toes if you've spent the majority of the year pretending that your size 10 feet were size 6s. :eek:

Okay ya'll I broke down and bought some sandals. I normally don't show my toes but I got a really nice pedicure and HAD to show them off,lol.

^^^Do what you gotta! Its not horrible to show your toes if they're on point! So show them!

If you wanna wear sandals that don't show your toes, i suggest wearing chinese slippers! I wear them all the time and you can't really see through them PLUS you can wear them with dresses or with a business suit and it doesn't look too unprofessional...i've done this since i couldn't wear heels due to my ankle! It wasn't hard to get away with though! :D

wait a minute....please tell me you are not referring to those chinese slippers with the fisherman's net on them???? Females here wore these all last summer and now they sell them with a heel :(

That funny I never get a chance to check out someone the feet because I am so amazed by the tooo little half & backout shirts worn by ladies with stretch marks and double meat to notice if their feet is right

And I'm truly sorry if you've seen worse than that. I actually thought, "Is that a cadaver that's been stored for a few weeks?" That would be a beauty school student's worst nightmare during finals....

I gave myself a home pedicure for my grad party and about 5 minutes into it, my uncle stepped on my foot and messed up the big toe. :( Time to bring in a professional!

Alright, I'm a bit late with the reminder but we still have a few weeks of summer left LADIES.

Yes Ladies! It's time! You know the drill!!

I am so proud to say that I did not neglect my feet all winter! :)

It is time for the annual reminder. Spring Break is right around the corner and the beaches are calling!

Its so much easier to take care of your feet all year long than to try to get them together in the spring. I learned that lesson a few years ago so now I get monthly pedicures in the winter anyway!

It's the beginning of the season.:cool:
