Tee Shirt swap at Leadership Institute

I was wondering if anyone was going to LI and wanted to trade a tee shirt or two? I've always wanted some AOII shirts from other chapters. I have one from Kappa Omicron (Rhodes) that my friend from highschool who was an AOII there gave me. Anyway, I like my tee shirts big in XL, and I can bring some to LI from Nu Beta chapter if anyone wants to meet up and trade!!! Let me know!

Yes! I always bring a shirt or two. I simply adore getting shirts from other chapters, and I would love to trade for one from Ole Miss!

Oh! I would love to trade shirts, but I don't have any shirts to trade since I haven't really worked with a collegiate chapter much/yet (other than Beta Gamma two years ago!)

I don't have any tees to trade, either. The joys of being a big beautiful alumna :( The 3-4 AOII tees I currently own are either Convention or LI shirts, because you can get them in XXL. Heck, I've even seen shirts that are only available up to *Large* at Emporium!

I have actually asked before and know that apparently there isn't enough demand for official 'plus sized' apparel. I wish that wasn't the case! I'd be thrilled if there was at least an alumna style tee, a regular AOII sweatshirt and maybe one of those fleece tops or wind jackets available to us in XXL--even at a reasonable size surcharge! I'm sorry to go on such a rant, ladies, but not every AOII is a tiny girl. I can go to a variety of reputable greek vendors and get XXL of everything I could dream of, but AOII loses when we purchase from there instead of Emporium.

To get back on topic, if any of your chapters did order XXL tees at some point and have extra, let me know :)

I read in my LI packet that they are organizing a t-shirt swap.
We're supposed to bring a new AOII shirt to swap on Saturday night - part of AOII afterhours.

Yup, but we're talking about a separate swap amongst us GCers.

ETA: What should I bring as the CA? I was confused after reading my packet? Do I bring my binders and stuff like that?

Yes and no - if you have a new CNS (and I think NB does...), you may want to bring her a 'care' package - a copy of the chapter calendar, a listing of AAC with full contact info, a contact listing of all officers, a breakdown of class size & when # of member's will graduate (always good for planning), & a copy of the financial plan/budget/payment plan structure for next year (and a copy of the chapter bylaws and a 'chapter lingo' dictionary).

Depending on the sessions you are attending, you should bring a copy of your CR Handbook/Standards, Chapter Bylaws, and a copy of the financial plan/budget for next year.

In a nutshell, you are going to get a lot of stuff at LI anyways, plus you don't want to haul a lot of stuff around to each session.

Just talk to your CNS and see if there is anything she would like for her chapter meeting with NB. As well, put this question out on the CA listserve, and see what response you get - there are a few 'veteran's' that will give you the skinny...
