"The answer is 12!" - Peppermint Patty
Sorry I had to give an answer that made no sense for a thread that, again, makes no sense. |
Quote:
Actually the answer is 42! From "Life, The Universe, and Everything" by Douglas Adams. |
Actually the answr is F: take all its resources and money, forget about the "middle", and along with New York rule the country.
|
At least in California we're not REQUIRED BY LAW to take a fucking bath once a year............
It's G: We will split into three states. Nor Cal and all of their t-shirts and stickers will sink into the Pacific. Seeing as though there isn't much in Central Cali (Except SLO), they will rename themselves West Wyoming. Southern Cali will finally become the regular California you know and love. |
H) No one cares what happens to California.

Glitter and Stan, you crack me up but I agree it is definitely answers F and specifically because all of you California haters can talk but where do 50% of you want to move after high school/ college... yeah that's right, California and the other 50% want to move to New York.
So just keep watching "The O.C." and your "90210" re-runs, wishing you were here especially in the dead of winter when it is a balmy 75 degrees here!:D |

The state will be split into two states, california and southern oregon, also known as norcal. My chapter has already established this since last year. Anything above santa barbara is now Southern Oregon... Oh, and New York, please...RED SOX ALL THE WAY! DOWN WITH NEW YORK!! SOUTHIE BOSTON FOR LIFE! |
Did any of you see that horrid movie 10.5? That's what will happen. Sure.

Next time you're in 5 feet of snow, 6 feet of water or 75 mph winds, just think of us SoCalers at the beach at the same time, drinking a beer and playing horseshoes.

Stan- Fox Broadcasting: They call it "OC", not "THE OC". It's Orange County, not THE Orange County. They don't call it "THE NYC" or "THE LA" |
ahhh... but down there it is THE 405 ;)

Isn't the O.C. (oops, sorry Stan! I mean O.C. :) ) where John Wayne airport is? I flew in there once to go to a friend's wedding in Dana Point (also O.C.?). I think there was a big ol' statue of John Wayne at the airport, but I can't remember for sure.
|
Yup John Wayne is the airport for Orange County... I think the air port is actually in Irvine... maybe anaheim ?? Not sure what exact city it's in but I've used it MANY times :D

Okay So I am reading this thread, and I have to laugh, becuase it was just so random. I am orginally from North Cal or better yet "Southern Oregon" and I have to say living here in Chicago, def. makes me wish I was back in California. I miss the beaches and the sun, and even the people.
I am going to chose the letter I for this quiz, for. I wish I was there but I am not there. And, who really wants Cal whether you are from SoCal or NoCal, to disappear, I love going there to visit. Oh Yeah!! Back here in Chicago, we have this store called Hollister. Can I just ask the peeps from Cali, (to use the chicago term slimy). Is Hollister still Slimy? Cause I really love the fact that hte stores out here make Hollister, California to be this great OC like kind of place. |

um, hi. it's either Southie or South Boston. Please don't put the two together. k? thanks. |

I like California, but we are waiting for that beach front property just West of Denver... |
Quote:
Von Dutch, Hurley, Hollister, it's all the same. It's mostly the Nor Cal kids who sport it too....... |
You must mean SUPER nor cal like Sacramento area becuase we don't even have a Hollister store anywhere near here in SF... :D closest one I think is like an hour or more away....

My friend from the Reno are was discussing California with me, and we think there are three states as well, however it falls differently. 1) Northern Coast and Bay Area (including the wine & cheese country, down to Carmel, but not as far as SLO). 2) Inland (have to keep those people from the mountains up n the hills ;) however 80 will be a federal area, as will I-5 so we can still get to Tahoe and Oregon). 3) Southern Coast ( the cities, you don't want Barstow with them do you Stan?) On different sides of the border of the states, it can be called 101, or THE 101. All the meth labs can stay in the Valley. Any coastal town with fog is in the North, and the southern beaches must have temps above 75. RE: Hollister, the only locations within 90 miles of San Francisco are in Concord and Pleasanton...enough said. Glitter650: I envy you in the fact you can go to SerraBowl all night, eat lumpia there, and then make a stop at In-N-Out and Krispy Kreme on the way home. We have all night donuts here in nowhereville, but it isn't the same. You also have a NATION'S for the late night feasting. So cruel! |
Quote:
I just have to interject that while they may have Krispy Kreme where Glitter lives, it was started in North Carolina. :D /hijack |
being from Wisconsin & Illinois and living in Claifornia, I have to say I have grown to love the place, despite the high cost of living.
However, there are a few annoying things Californians do: At first I was put off by the people who would ask if I was from "out east", or the "east coast" because, as far as I am concerned, Chicago is the midwest, not "out east". Also, the Californians have this nasty habbit of calling the place my entire family lives a "fly over state". Excuse me?! You know you always have layovers in O'Hare. Also, there is a bit of snobbishness about some people from California, like they are better than you for being born in San Deigo, and can say that 50 degrees is "cold". That being said, the geography and weather here is wonderful. I really do like it! |

Thank you for the clairfication, about Hollister. I was thinking after I posted my comment, that the last time I was in Hollister was in 1988, and it could of gotten better since the last time I was there. I totally agree though on the clothes. But they are better then Abercrombie and Fitch and there 0 and -2 sizes. LOL...I have one shirt from Hollister that if I wear it, You can def. see everything that was created on me. LOL....great to work out in and to get attention in...

About the whole fly over statement, its okay people back in here in Chicago, say I have an accent. I never understood, until I heard myself, after a recording. I have this midwest twang, and this california blonde accent. (BTW the cali blonde accent are my mothers words. NOT Mine). I know that Hollister is somewhere near Napa. My aunt and her daughter both shop there and live in someplace called Vallejo. I dont know I have been to Vallejo, only 4 times in my life and each time I wish I never had to go there in the first place. Sorry for anyone who lives there. My favorite thing to talk about with people from Chicago is the fact that you can pretty much take one interstate and drive the whole state. People back here find that so hard to belive, I try to explain to them its like if you got on I55, and could travel the whole state of Illinois. It would be the same, they just dont get it. Hey here is a new question for everyone. Has anyone heard of Esparto California. My dads aunt just moved there, and I was wondering what it is like? |
