Friends is finally leaving after 10 Years!

Who on GC is like the Cast of the TV Show??:D

I am shedding a tear as I watch it on reruns so can still live vicariously with them!:cool:

That's tonight, eh? I catch the reruns sometimes on UPN. Never know when the show itself comes on.

It came on thursdays at 8pm on NBC.

i'll miss friends too....how do you think it will end?

i think ross will chase rachel to the airport, tell her he loves her she will go to get on the plane, he will go to leave the airport and then she will come back out of the gateway calling his name, they will embrace, she will decide to stay.
next scene....delivery room where monica's serragate is having the baby and she will deliver it will be all emotional with chandler and monica
next scene...central perk, monica, chandler, new baby, ross, rachel, emma, phoebe and mike will be there. joey will come in announce that he got a gig in l.a..
last scene....monica's apartment all the boxes packed and ready to go. ross and rachel will move into the apartment with emma to start their new life. ross, rachel, monica, chandler, phoebe and joey will all hug as monica and chandler leave for the suburbs.

I think that's the ending we all hope for. I have a feeling that they're going to put a twist of some sort on the end a la Seinfeld. Maybe not as extreme as Seinfeld but the writers might throw in something that we weren't expecting. Is the ending 30 minutes or an hour tonight?

I'm going to miss friends. I went through my 20s with them like I went through my mid to late teens with 90210.

You know, Ms. MysticCat asked me that very question last night -- she asked me whom I thought I am most like. Well, I had an idea of what to say, but I turned it back on her: "I don't know. Whom do you think I am most like?" She thought for a moment and said, "You're a cross between Chandler and Ross," which was exactly the answer I had come up with m'self.

I'll let y'all decide if being a cross between Chandler and Ross is a good thing. :cool:

I think Ross should go to Paris with Rachel.

I am having deja vu after the Sex and The City finale. Carrie and Rachel moving to Paris. Charlotte and Monica and Chandler adopting a baby.

I am one of the few people who REALLY hopes that Rachel tells Ross what a wuss he is, and to quit bothering her!!

Any bets on what the baby will be named?

i still don't understand why they're finishing the show?! it's so good and they make bank!

plus they are doing a special jay leno from the central perk set.

I think it's good that Friends is going off the air before it jumps the shark. Ten years is a pretty good run!

I actually have no guesses. I think it will be a boy, though, since they just had Emma. Actually, did they already announce the sex and I missed it?

Why is the Ross & Rachel thing such a big deal? I don't care if they get together or not. I guess I'm not really a fan of the show -- I watch it from time to time but I don't love it. I thought the moving to Paris story line was great the first time I saw it -- on Sex and the City. :rolleyes:

they said she was staying with her mother who was bring her over the weekend after rachel got settled in

Did they not know that "Joey" was going to be picked up when they filmed this? Joey mentioned nothing about going to LA.

And I want to think that show will be terrible, but hey, some spin-offs are great; look at Frasier when we lost Cheers.

It seemed strange to me that there was no mention of his seeing the little girl if she left the country! :eek: That just doesn't add up to me...isn't there some stuff about "international flight" and non-custodial parents, even if they aren't married?

It was one of the many things I had against Ross!!! I really wanted to see Rachel tell him what a loser he is!!

Let's face it - guys like him don't even get to DATE the women he married on the show, let alone marry and/or have children to them!!

And before somebody gets their shorts in a knot, "guys like him" means dorky-only-a-half-step-away-from-a-pocket-protector type.

lol, my bf hates Ross. Every time he is on screen he gets annoyed by Ross and says, "That nerd would never get Jennifer in real life." He was yelling at the tv at the end of the episode. I don't want to ruin the ending for those who have not seen it, but it was funny.

ROAR.

I am thrilled, as fans of my LJ know, about Ross and Rachel because one of my relationships is somehow tied to theirs in that hopeful teenage way.

I love guys like Ross, and I'd take a dorky sensitive guy over just about anyone.

Okay - so I had a show tonight that took over an hour to get to, and totally forgot in between that Friends was on. Yeah, I know, who the heck could forget??

So what happened?

I hope "Joey" does well - I think it will be cute if they can take him beyond the past 10 years. I'm sure they'll have LOTS of "special guests" -- gee, I wonder who...

Geez. Don't tell my wife that. She was (is) a beauty queen type and married a skinny Delt she met in college. It's worked out pretty well.

By the way, isn't that way of thinking a tad sexist? If the guys were having the reverse conversation it probably would be considered so.

I'm happy the way it ended. Except for the twins thing there weren't any surprises, but it was good. The cast will also be on Oprah tomorrow for their last (for now) interview together.

OH FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, JUST KILL THEM ALL AND BE DONE WITH IT!!

I am so sick of all the completely overblown hype for the past couple of weeks. It has now gone completely over the edge. I do like the show & watched every week. NBC has sucked every bit of enjoyment out of the show for me lately.

The poor cast has been trotted out on EVERY talking idiot show for a week, saying the same things over & over & over. Get on with it, for heaven's sake.

The love Friends!! I love the way it ended!! I wanted Ross and Rachael together sooooo bad!!!! There for a second I was really upset.... but its all good now. :D


Oh and about Emma. When Rachael's character got pregnant a lot of fans complained that the baby would interupt and become a "7th" friend. So I think thats why they don't always mention her all the time.

Sour Grapes at Fraiser. They ran for 11 years, received numerous awards and in the end...no hype.

Liked the ending, MUCH better than Seinfeld.
Glad they tied everything up. I would bet my bottom dollar there will be a reunion show down the road. (When they realize they can't create more appreciated characters than they did on Friend's)

Who is going to "make it" beyond Friends?

ITA. I've always had a thing for kind of nerdy guys (and whenever it comes up, my boyfriend says, "Gee, thanks for calling me a dork." LOL).

I'm so glad it ended the way it did, with everyone happy and getting what they wanted. Although I did think it was a little odd that Mike and Emma weren't there.


BTW, did anyone watch Leno? Lisa Kudrow has a brown bob now for a movie role...it looks so strange.

Mike was there at the end. He and Phoebe talked about starting their own family.

Is that why TPTB (The Powers That Be) never made Gunther a main character/appear in the opening credits, despite being in practically every episode?
