Stupid Question
 

All right here is a stupid question, sorry for wasting your time but its been kinda bugging me.

At my school we have a Greek Directory aka The Greek Stalker. I met this girl and she was my partner for greek week. Well we hit off but i never got her number. So....is it sketchy if i call her using the Greek Stalker? One of my brothers did it to get his current girlffriend and he said i should do it to but im a little sketched out by it. With summer comming I was wondering if i should say the hell with it and go for it. Whats ur opinion on this?

Oh, yeah, we had it at my school and it was totally normal to look someone up once you knew their name and their house. In fact, it was even okay to do it if you only knew their first name and had to call two or three people to get the one you were looking for.

Does the directory already have the numbers? Or just names?

It's not sketchy if it already has the numbers....but if you have to cross reference the Greek Directory with a school directory, then yes, it's a little sketchy.

Not saying I've never done that with the Freshman facebook before at my alma mater.....

Seriously, to the original poster, call her. I'd find it flattering...and that's what Stalkers are for.

How on earth would she know if you did use the "Stalker," anyway? Just don't admit it. :p

Call her... they have a directory for a reason.

i say go for it...i'd be flattered...now if you call and say that you are outside of her window butt naked in a thong with whipped cream and a cherry on top, then i'd worry:(

If you hit it off and you like the girl, who gives a &*#@ how you get her number? Just call her man :)

When you have a directory labeled the "Stalker", what else would she expect if you use it to get her phone # & call her?

I think it would be sweet-- and it is there for a reason.

Ok the greek stalker book I must say is one of the greatest inventions EVER...all I need to know about a boy is his first name and what house he's in and voila!

But seriously...use it, she'll more than likely never know but if she asks or finds out someway I highly doubt she'll care b/c girls love that kind of thing. I'd be pretty flattered actually that the guy took the time to "stalk" me. Go for it! :) And let us know what happens. :D

If it weren't for a few small bits of information and a directory I would've never found my boyfriend!! He had just passed through my town on a business trip and I noticed some emblems on his car. I looked him up online and emailed his company. It's the greatest thing I ever did and it has proven to be great. We are going on being together a year and if it weren't for "stalking" him we wouldn't be as happy as we are!!!

I think it's cute. If you hit it off there was a mutual attraction then go for it! No matter what lengths you have to go to, I know I would appreciate the effort on your part!

Its only stalking if the other person doesn't like you or thinks you are ugly :)

I met this guy freshman year at a party, and he looked me up in the directory and came to my room to say hi, even though he was an upperclassman and didn't live in the dorms. I'd draw the line at that kind of thing. If he had just called me, I would have thought it was cute -- he would have gotten a date.

Anyway, no harm in trying, as long as you don't take it too far. (No Say Anything-style boomboxes under her window until you've been dating at least two months, m'kay?)

Sadly enough, there is no great story...It's just my boyfriend's last name. When his friends first met me they couldn't remember my name so they just said "Stump's girl" and it stuck!

Did you wait a full year (to the day) to reply or is it some sort of GC mistake?

Haha if it isn't some mistake then we do have some crazy women on GC.

I did not notice the date change, that is just too weird to be a chance. Interesting. and Kinda of Odd.
