high school superlatives

what do you get in high school?

i was in second place for 'most quietest'

Taualumna 04-25-2004 04:27 PM

Traditionally we announce our "most likely to's" in our final chapel service, but we didn't have the time the year I graduated. I was apparently going to be "Most Likely To Be On Broadway" because I was really into musical theatre at the time.

Tippiechick 04-25-2004 04:58 PM

I was most involved. Another girl and I tied for most popular. I had the most votes as most involved; she had the most votes as most athletic. So, I think most popular went to the third vote getter...

I think this is such a funny thread. I hadn't thought about superlatives in 6 years!

swissmiss04 04-25-2004 05:02 PM

"most likely to succeed" heh.

TriDeltaGal 04-25-2004 07:10 PM

I received "Most Talkactive". It seems to still be true today!

valkyrie 04-25-2004 07:13 PM

I was voted "biggest rebel" and second most creative, lol.

Xylochick216 04-25-2004 07:29 PM

I was most talented for all my music.

Unregistered- 04-25-2004 07:36 PM

My high school did away with superlatives a few years before I graduated, so I wasn't voted on for anything by my peers.

I did, however, receive the Aymer Award at graduation -- an award voted on by the faculty and Sisters of the Sacred Hearts Academy. It's the highest honor that could ever be bestowed upon a graduating senior who best exemplifies the true spirit of the Academy.

And now my senior portrait hangs in the hallway and will be there next to the other Aymer Award winners past, present, and future!!

Jadey28 04-25-2004 07:48 PM

I was voted "Best Body."

James 04-25-2004 07:51 PM

I won "best body" also.

ISUKappa 04-25-2004 07:51 PM

"Most Likely to Win on Jeopardy"

Dionysus 04-25-2004 07:55 PM

Most Likely to Start a School Shooting...J/K

XOMichelle 04-25-2004 08:44 PM

Most school spirit-- which I always thought was odd, since I think I had very little school spirit. Perhaps a lot of people got together and voted for me as a joke?? I never really figured it out.

ADqtPiMel 04-25-2004 08:51 PM

"Most Dramatic" and "Most Musical"

AchtungBaby80 04-25-2004 09:56 PM

Second place for "Best Dressed," supposedly. I wasn't from the right family, so I didn't win anything. :p

sairose 04-25-2004 10:03 PM

I was "Most Talented" because of my music.

AlphaSigOU 04-25-2004 10:52 PM

My school didn't have any of the common superlatives such as 'most likely to succeed' etc. but to make it to the 'Pioneers' or 'Super Seniors' section of the school yearbook was in a sense the 'superlatives' section and who would probably one who would be successful in their adult life.

One of the 'Super Seniors' in my graduating class became very successful as an investment banker before his untimely death in a plane crash three years ago.

No, I didn't make it to either the 'Super Seniors' or 'Pioneers' listing, but I did earn the 'Student Government Unsung Hero' award for outstanding service. (The award is no longer presented at the school.)

GPhiLlama 04-25-2004 11:06 PM

"Most Likely to Sell 50,000 Albums" was mine.

AGDee 04-25-2004 11:23 PM

Biggest Smile and Funniest Laugh.. two categories!

Dee

James 04-25-2004 11:33 PM

We are talking about senior class polls right?

AOIIsilver 04-25-2004 11:36 PM

Most Studious
Yep, I am SUCH a nerd!

kstar 04-26-2004 12:09 AM

Most likely to appear on Court TV, on either side of the bench.

I was a smart kid that wanted to be a lawyer, but I had a huge wild streak.

Glitter650 04-26-2004 12:16 AM

Best Hair :D

CardinalSM 04-26-2004 12:30 AM

I got the "Crash and Burn" award because I got in two car accidents in highschool within 2 months of getting my license and in the second one my airbag exploded and burnt me. I was a much safer driver after that, but I guess the bad driver title stuck. They even made me a Burger King crown with flames on it. Awesome guys, thanks a lot.

FAB*SpiceySpice 04-26-2004 01:45 AM

I got worst driver...:D Which is true, I was in a massive amount of car wrecks in high school. :(

I also got most spoiled, which is by far the stupidest superlative I've ever heard of.

lifesaver 04-26-2004 05:23 AM

If awards were given out today, I'd have gotten funniest or biggest smart ass. THe kid who got funniest was the dumb ass class clown who used bevis and butthead kinda himor. Way too slapstick...and juvenile.

As Yearbook editor, I proudly changed the title of the superlatives section from the grating, "Mostest/Bestest" to "Senior Personalities"

I was in a graduating class of 400 & we had superlatives. I got "Most Involved" my senior year.

GeekyPenguin 04-26-2004 09:37 AM

I graduated in a class of around 480, and we had a few but obviously not everybody could get one. I got "Most Determined" from my cross-country team and I was elected track captain, and that mattered to me a lot more than having my name in the yearbook. :p

OrigamiTulip 04-26-2004 09:41 AM

I kid you not....

Most likely to start a disco dancing commune.

xo_kathy 04-26-2004 10:55 AM

BetaRose I could join you!

I got "Best Dancer"

My Chi O Senior Award was "Most likely to have her wedding colors be cardinal and straw"

And, yes, I really am looking at red dresses and yellow flowers for my upcoming wedding...

cutiepatootie 04-26-2004 12:10 PM

I got two honors:

Most school spririt ( Cheerleader)

and

Most nicest

two of the most dorkest awards we gave out. I rather perfer Most likely to succeed

chideltjen 04-26-2004 01:21 PM

i wasn't popular enough to get a superlative... :(

cashmoney 04-26-2004 01:37 PM

I got two:

Most likely to become famous:

Before I finished high school I had been on TV 8 times not including televised games for the sporting events I was in.

and

Class Clown:

This one explains itself. Most people loved me, teachers and administration included.

AOTTAdvisor 04-26-2004 02:01 PM

I tied for "Most Talented"(singing) and then the Musical Theatre award and the Choir award. Yeah, slightly dorky too!

I graduated in a class that large too...I think we were close to 500. It was a pretty big deal if you got a superlative, people even in some cases, "ran" for the superlative!

TheEpitome1920 04-27-2004 10:12 PM

I was voted "Most Likely to Succeed" out of 300+ students.

GMUBunny 04-27-2004 10:19 PM

Let's see... since I didn't drive a benz or a BMW, have a daddy who was a navy doctor, shop at A&F, or screw half the baseball team- I didn't get jack squat. But, that makes me perfectly happy cuz most of those people dropped out of community college and some of them have kids. I'm content with not being in the spotlight.

AOIIsilver 04-27-2004 10:51 PM

I thought everyone "ran" for superlatives? We had a class of 420 and about 10 superlatives....

At my high school, you were suppose to be nominated in senior homerooms and then there were several votes to whiddle down the field. It was suppose to be kind of a surprise if you won because so many homerooms nominated a female/male for each category. What I meant about running is that some people got in their heads what they should be nominated for and then polled people to nominate them. It wasn't something that people put posters up for like " Vote Jane Doe for Most Popular"

Hope that explains what I was trying to say...:D
