Violets and Pearls!
 

Okay ladies, i'm going to bring back the GC Virtual Diamond Sisters again. But in efforts to encourage proper relationships of chapter Diamond Sisters and the understanding of the position that title holds, I'm changing the name...

Here on GC, they will be referred to as Violets and Pearls (V&P).

So...Would any of those previously paired, and/or any of the new ladies to GC like to be a V&P?

Please post here and I'll pm you a questionnaire. Once I have all the questionnaires and names, I'll set up a V&P revealing just like before. :)

ALSO: if you have any suggestions for the second time around, OR if anyone else would like to head this up and be the second Virtual GCMC, please let me know :)

The committment is whatever you want to make it. We have had several ladies it take it all the way, and some just remain internet sisters. :) That is up to you and your imagination. Last time we tried to pair older alums with newer alums and collegians. That helps each of us to lean on each other when we have questions or concerns. This provides a person we can come to and discuss matters, share news, or cry on someone's keyboard. :)

I hope that explains it better!

BTW: The questionnaires will go out this week. :) Polarpi, If you want to be the GCMC this time, its all yours. :)

I hope whoever I get is prepared for me lol.... I dont see my diamond much, my little one, we have kind of gone our seperate ways cause of boy stuff she chose him over a lot of people and hes bad news, anyways, so I am ready to get a diamond connection sort of again lol. Violet connection.... I miss having it... I have my older diamond and we are close but she is soooo busy all the time.... PLus I hope I get someone who isnt in Ohio so I can come visit them.... :)

Hey Sisters!

Just a note to let those who have already signed up that the Violet and Pearl Sister Questionnaires have gone out as PMs tonight. In order to give other GC sisters the opportunity to participate in this round of Violet & Pearl sisters, I would like everyone's questionnaire back to me in order to do the revealing on Monday, May 17th.

I'm really excited for this round of Violet and Pearl Sisters! :)

Since I am a virtual diamond sister (a really badddddd one at that), how do we distinguish between violet and pearl? is it big and littles....or is that just the entire name... ex: Kate and Megan are my Violet and Pearl Sisters?

BTW, Virtual Diamond sisters....sorry I have not been around or in contact....major stuff is happening at work....so I cannot get on here during the day as much. Then I am to tired at night to get online--so I hope you are both doing great....and I will talk to you soon!

I have still not made it down to Miami Megan...but I promise I will in the fall!

I'm going to answer yes and yes.

V&P is just the new name. So you are Violets and Pearls instead of Diamond sisters. You can either pick to be one or the other, or you can just say this week I'm Arnette's Pearl, and next week, i'm her Violet. Either way. :) We dont distinguish big or little.

and yes on the adding to the family, unless polarpi has an objection.

Maybe if you've already received a V&P sis (or two) and want to participate, let me know who your V&P sister(s) is and I'll start a list that can be passed from GCMC to GCMC each time we do a new round of V&P sisters! :)

Yeah this is like another round.

Think of it this way, the last time we got GC diamonds was for 'Fall rush', this time it's for 'spring' and we all still have the oppurtunity (agian) to take a big or little.

Bumping this up to encourage more sisters to consider participating, and also to let those know who've already indicated their interest that there are additional sisters who've indicated they'd like to take on a V&P sister.

What I thought with this round of V&P sisters is that those of you participating for the first time could be the "younger" V&P sister and those of us who've participated in the past could be the "older" V&P sister (using "older" and "younger" to signify those who've been V&P sisters in the past), and then we'll have another round later on this year or so so the newest V&P sisters have the chance to be a "older" V&P sister to another GC member.

I'm quoting this as a reminder of who has signed up for this round of V&P sisters, and as another reminder that if you haven't sent your Questionnaire back to me (or if you haven't gotten it :eek: ), you need to contact me via PM or email ASAP! I have not received questionnaires back from Tggrsluv2bnce, raiderchic482, t*p, or skerbow. If you are no longer interested in being a V&P sister this time around, *PLEASE* let me know that as well. There is still time to sign up for this round of V&P sisters, but you need to PM me ASAP so I can get the questionnaire to you and work with Sherra on the revealing for Monday (only 5 days away!)

Okay, so skerbow came up with a fun way to reveal ourselves to our V&P sisters while playing a game. How it goes is kind of like the game Guess Who, but each V&P sister will send me three statements that pertain to herself but they go from more general statements to more specific. For example, three statements that I could use would be:

1. I'm an alumna member of ADPi (this pertains to a number of women on the board)

2. I'm from the Eta Psi chapter (this pertains to two of us regulars on the board)

3. I'm currently living in California (I'm the only one of the two Eta Psi members that this pertains to).

Get the idea? I'll start a thread on Monday and post clues to the V&P sisters (I'll say something like: ASUADPi, your first clue is this: (give her diamond's first clue) and also start a thread so you can guess about who your V&P sister is (as can other GC members, if they feel like playing) until she is revealed to you.

In order to do this, I need everyone who has signed up for V&P sisters and has sent me their questionnaire to PM (or email) me with their three statements. Start off with the most general statement you have, and end with the most specific. I need these statements by Sunday, 10 pm West Coast time, so I can get everything together to start the reveal Monday morning and into the afternoon, so that hopefully by Monday evening all our V&P sisters have discovered one another.
