Ok...where would you like to see Alpha Phi colonize?
Or recolonize?
Lovingly boosted from a few forums here! :) |
Crashing y'alls forum.... :)
I'd love to see Alpha Phi colonize at the University of Florida. |
actually I agree ^
my exboyfriend is a Theta Chi from UF and when I joined alpha phi (we were dating when I joined college and rushed) he had never heard of it. But now he knows like everything about it hehehe. |
Let's go back to Stanford ...
I vote for Stanford! Ready and waiting for the day!
|
I would like to see Alpha Phi in a few places.....
1. UNLV 2. Univ of Arkansas ( just a tad bit bias) 3. Oklahoma state univ and OU ( recolon at OU) 4. Cal Poly Pomona or Univ of Calif at riverside |
I'd like to see a recolonization at my alma mater and at Emory University. I'd love to see a colony at the University of Georgia, Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern, Brenau, and Mercer. And though I know it probably wouldn't happen, I'd love to see A Phi colonize at an HBCU, especially at Spelman College.
|
University of Nevada, Las Vegas.... there are a bunch of ladies who are egar to become Alpha Phi's down there
|
I would love to see a chapter at UConn!
|
Florida State and UCF. That way we can visit sisters nearby. :)
|
* Re-colonize Texas A&M. I hope to be a part of that someday.
* The University of Houston * SMU and TCU to boost A-Phi visibility in the Dallas area at two great schools. * LSU |
I would love to see Alpha Phi at:
*any school in Kentucky....namely Georgetown College *William & Mary College in Virginia *recolonize Emory University in GA...and perhaps colonize other schools in GA as well |
Whats the international policy for buying houses or assisting new chapters (especially if they colonize in the South)
|
Definitely UNLV!
I would love to see recolonization at Stanford, Bama and Oklahoma |
one more ...
University of KANSAS ... Gamma Delta chapter ... it was a tragedy to lose that chapter
|
I'd love to see more southern chapters - recolonizing at Bama would be a big first step, and then at LSU. Then, I'd like to see us at one of the Mississippi schools - I think we'd fit well at Millsaps or Southern Miss.

UNC would be fantabulous.......we need more chapters in North Carolina *keeping fingers crossed with Elon though* it's very hard for Southern schools to colonize an Alpha Phi chapter....people have no idea who we are and what we are about. this is what happened when we were asked to present at Wake Forest. we were up against very big southern sororities and they got the bid to colonize over us. i would really like to become a chapter advisor when i graduate and it would be really nice if i could be in the same area as the chapter |
Sorry to Crash, but I would love to see my local affiliate with Alpha Phi. Although I unfortunetly dont attend Sonoma State University anymore :(
Alpha Phi is a strong organization and SSU already has 3 great groups there, and I think Alpha Phi on campus would make a great addition. Its close enough to Berkeley and San Francisco State, so that makes it fun too! Not to mention the over the past 4 years the girls have been really interested in Alpha Phi. |
what other groups does SSU have, out of curiosity? And i think all the northern cali aphi chapters need to come together more :( no one ever comes to visit us up in Chico, and they are all missing out cuz its so fun and crazy here! I would really like the sac state girls to come cuz they are so close..or even davis. oh well. oh by the way (random) didnt we win greek week at Sac State?

SSU has Gamma Phi Beta, Alpha Gamma Delta and Alpha Xi Delta. I'm surprised the Npr-Cal chapters dont visit eachother more often...isnt that a benefit of having sisters at other schools.
|
well the SFSU chapter visits berkeley once in a while.
Boo Chico isn't that fun during the summer, plus I won't be here! You do have to at least visit the house though, cuz our house is so pretty :) |
Please excuse my crashing your forum, but wasn't there an Alpha Phi chapter at UT-Arlington at one time?? I agree that there needs to be a chapter somewhere in the DFW Metroplex.

bumping this one up to give a hint to sismadly's question in the yippee skippee thread :) To add to the thread - I would love to see recolonizations at U of Houston, Texas State, TCU, UT Arlington. And chapters in Nevada would be great too! Yay for our Extension team :) They are great! |
Tinydancer, we had one at Arlington back in the day.
TXAphi, check your PMs. My vote is definitely for UNLV! |

OKLAHOMA UNIVERSITY ... OH YEA BABY!!!! WELCOME BACK SOONERS!
|
I want Kansas. ROCK, CHALK, JAYHAWK, BABY!
This one's off the beaten path, but I'd really like Fresno State. We've got a buch of alumnae out there who are very active in the APH and they rotate meeting at the houses. They should be able to rotate to an Alpha Phi house! And if we're really dreaming, how about Stanford so we can have a Pac 10 sweep again. Because we all know the west is best! |
I might be able to crash. Mr. 1228 WISHES he could! LOL. I would just dump him off in a poker room and go there...he wouldn't even miss me! LOL

I want Kansas too since I'm from there. Just glad to see us going back to OU ... KU is a great school and a great system from what I remember.
If we could get Kansas State too, that would make a good run of the BIG 12 schools and also strengthen Alpha Phi in that part of the country. With Nebraska to the north, Missouri to the east, Boulder to the West, and Oklahoma to the South ... too words ... NI-CE :) |

Don't forget Texas and Texas Tech down here for the BIG XII! :) We're halfway there (and with some pretty nice websites, too! ;) ) Colorado Missouri Nebraska Texas Texas Tech Oklahoma :) Iowa State (recolonize Zeta Delta) Kansas (recolonize Gamma Delta) Texas A&M (recolonize Epsilon Omega) Baylor Kansas State Oklahoma State |

You know, I was going to say K-State too because their panhellenic system is HUGE but I don't know, I think Manhattan might be a little off the beaten path. Everything west of Topeka on 70 gets no respect. How about Fort Hays State for a new small campus??? Okay yeah, now I'm REALLY reaching! |
i would like to see Alpha Phi recolonize at UNCW.....we're promised a spot right now but there's been some shadiness going on and i'm afraid something is going to happen and we wont have the chance
also, i would like to see Alpha Phi colonized at Elon, UNC, and UNCC |

Yes ma'am you really are!:p I think it would be a shorter distance for me to drive from KC to the OU installation than it would be for Fort Hays. KU expansion would be fabulous. That is about 20 to 30 minutes from me and Lawrence is a great place. KState,I really couldn't say much about.I had an employee a few years ago that was a Kappa there but beyond that I personally know very little about their system. We're so close to Lawrence here that it is all about KU.All I remember her saying is that they have guaranteed placement. |
I don't think Fort Hays is really a viable school that Alpha Phi should be interested in. Just not the type of campus where I see us having a chapter. K-State has an excellent system. Many of my friends from HS went there and loved it. KU is a bit more upscale. K-State is an ag-school and so it's a little more laid back. But, the Greek system is very competitive. Would be a great place for Alpha Phi, I think. I would like us to be stronger in Kansas in general.

Yeah I know I was just being silly with the Fort Hays dream. I lived in Hays for a year after college so it just has a soft spot in my heart. The houses that are there are very well established and I don't think that's a growing system. It would be like going back to Oshkosh or Stevens Point.
KState though...ag AND engineering. Holy smokes, HUGE engineering school. If ocean and astroaphi took a detour west, they'd have gone to KState I'm sure! KState's greek system is HUGE too....24 fraternities and 11 sororities. Do I hear 12 anyone???? |
I'm afraid I was looking a bit further west... somewhere around Pasedena. ;)
I'm also a Husker fan so I don't know if I would have survived K-State. haha. |

What about Canada????
Couldn't we colonize at U of A? There is a strong greek system there and it would be great to have another Canadian chapter close to UBC. Or heck - what about going even more international and colonize somewhere in another country! nothing big was every achieved without big dreams & big risks! Sorry guys - I'm just a big loyal Canadian here!:) |
