OOOHHH! I saw this too! I have a friend from high school 'in the industry', and I've emailed her to see what's going on! I'm hoping for some first person info! Her name wasn't on any of the lists though!

I was really shocked by this because I thought that condoms had become more commonplace in the industry by now. I really don't know how they can do their "jobs" everyday - I would be terrified every single time I had to take that test.

You also wouldn't do porn for nay money would you?

Well, I might consider stripping if I was REALLY desperate for money, but porn? No way!

That was my thought as well, that it as well as other STD's arent more prevalent.........Some STD's dont show up in a blood test because of their nature. I just wonder if they are tested for other things that cant readily be found in a blood sample.

As far as the stripping/porning for money convo goes...........Id' never do either. I'd do welfare(as abused as it is) or move in with the folks before I would resort to that nonsense. It's in my opinion very unbecoming of one's behavior.

Why weren't they using condoms...did they think that they couldn't get it or something...? I don't know the full story but I am going to check it out....I think most of these peeps should have known better....for real....was putting a condom on...going to ruin their career????

The whole stripping thing ...NOPE not for me...and those who do it...more power to ya...I just couldn't...I would be begging my parents to let me back home...

That depends on the position.

I was really shocked that it was big surprise that porn stars had the virus. As many people as they have unprotected sex with, I would expect it to be way more prevalent. I don't know if the government should really mandate anything here. They know they are putting themselves at a huge risk. If they want to be stupid, they're adults and can be as stupid as they want. They know the risks and consequences.

my bf has been keeping track of this.

supposedly the "host" male porn star (darren james) made a film there, where he got the disease. he worked with 13 people before he knew that he was hiv positive.

there's a bunch of people who are on a secondary quarantine list. even though thier tests came out negative, some of them continued to work. what i worry about, is that 6 month window of where you can have the virus or not. these people who tested negative, may still have it and are putting everyone they work with at risk. some of the people in the industry are kinda wierd and stupid already. so if people say "oh i tested negative" the other (stupid) person will just be like "oh! ok!"

the porn insudtry has gotten wierder. you know how icky and dirty anal can be? a lot of porn has people doing anal, without condoms, and without washing up, will go to having vaginal sex. or even given the guy head after he's stuck his penis up her own a$$!!!!!

I finally heard back from my friend, and she said that this isn't as widespread (no pun intended ;) ) as it seems to be. She said the actors involved are not considered mainstream or very popular in the industry. They are all up and comers (again, no pun intended). She said that she had only heard of two or three of the people on the list, because they all work for the same production company. She said that the one company is had a really bad rep anyway, because they don't take care of their stars as well as others. So, that's what I know!

yeah my bf heard that one of the girls that tested + was only like 18 and was only in the industry for about a month :(
