AKA competes for Miss USA
 

There will be an AKA in the Miss USA pagent representing the state of New Jersey. Attached is a link to an article in the Atlanta Journal Constituation highlighting the friendship and "cordial rivarly" between her and fellow CAU alum Miss Michigan who happens to be a Delta.

After I saw that, I immediately changed the channel. I don't even know who won, some 10 hours later.

Really don't care.

And yes, I have an attitude about it.

I turned to watch Toy Story on Disney but still had such an attitude and was sleepy anyway so I went to bed. :mad:

I have an attitude too! :rolleyes: I mean not one black finalist...and then more than half of the finalists being blonde? Hmmm....interesting. I still don't know who won...although I was rooting for Miss South Carolina...she was really pretty.

Thanks to CC, I know that Miss Missouri won.

I guess we cannot have a Black Miss America and Black Miss USA in the same year. :rolleyes:

I only saw them call the top 15 and introduce the judges!

Mekhi, his smile and he just pissed me off for some reason.

That my Sorors and Sister-Soror Miss Michigan didn't make it, but I didn't see this pageant. I went to sleep early, my back wuz killing me.

What gets me is that there were FIVE Black contestants and none of them placed.

True .. Though I had Miss Tennessee in the top five. I thought that one of them would have made it to the top 10 at least, just for GP... boooooo

The chick's name is Shandi. I'm thinking maybe there was some Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/guilty feelings because the skinny-legged girl (also named Shandi) lost on America's Next Top Model. This perhaps was the make-up bid in the form of an "America's Next Top Anything/Beauty Contest where the winner's name is Shandi just to appease everyone who thought the skinny girl Shandi should have won ANTM" consolation prize.

Just a guess.

Missouri????? How many people can pick that out on a map. Why not just pick someone from a popular state, that everybody knows? How about Cal, or NY, or even IL?????
