hottytoddy 04-12-2004 10:51 AM

Wow, they are all so beautiful. I love watching these pageants. They get me motivated to workout & all.

ASUADPi 04-12-2004 10:53 AM

Well if I knew how to add pictures (which I just can't seem to figure out this early in the morning) I would add a picture of Ohio.

So, so far...

Ohio- ADPi
Michigan- Delta Sigma Theta
Mississippi- Phi Mu
Connecticut- D Phi E
South Carolina- Alpha Xi Delta
Iowa- Chi O
Florida- Zeta Tau Alpha

Any others?

Well of course I'm rooting on my sister, but if she doesn't make the top 15, I will definately be rooting on a Greek!!!!!

mullet81 04-12-2004 11:02 AM

Miss Kansas
http://www.missusa.com/delegates/200...fashion/KS.jpg

and Miss North Carolina
http://www.missusa.com/delegates/200...fashion/NC.jpg

are Delta Delta Deltas

preciousjeni 04-12-2004 11:06 AM

Where are you all getting this information? Are there bios somewhere?

hottytoddy 04-12-2004 11:10 AM

OMG! I was just looking at the photos...I think Miss Alabama is a DG at Ole Miss...I think...if my memory serves me correctly...she's been in the top 10 in the Most Beautiful pageant...I think she's my age which means she graduated?? I have to check into this.--I recognize her name.

mullet81 04-12-2004 11:15 AM

Miss Wisconsin:

http://www.missusa.com/delegates/200...es/main/WI.jpg
is a Delta Gamma

and many of them mention their affiliation in their interview under charities they support, like Miss Wisconsin:

go to www.missusa.com

Click on 'Miss USA', then the main page will come up. You chose a state and the contestants picture and bio will come up.

For Ohio, in her interview she stated something along the lines of 'through my sorority I have done work with the Ronald McDonald House'. That little tidbit of info kind of gave us the clue that she was a sister, since that is our philanthropy.

Some of the girls will mention in their bios the houses they belong to, some won't.

OK I know it's silly to quote myself...but she does mention going to Ole Miss. She doesn't mention DG...but I KNOW she was a DG, I remember her. She is very beautiful...she was a Pike calendar girl and she was in the most beautiful pageant a few times.

honeychile 04-12-2004 11:45 AM

Here's Kelsey Hall, Miss Ohio:

http://www.missusa.com/delegates/200...es/main/OH.jpg

From the looks of all the photos, the Miss USA pagent doesn't have quite the "wholesome" look of the Miss America pagent, does it? ;)

cutiepatootie 04-12-2004 01:53 PM

I think Miss arixzona is very pretty. She also looks a tad bit like Cheryl Corw when Cheryl crow dresses up and they both ar Kappa ALha Thetas

shadokat 04-12-2004 02:50 PM

Some of those photos are pretty risque for Miss USA! I was surprised :) I'm rooting for Connecticut, obviously!! Good luck Sheila!!!

Someone said Iowa was a Chi O, but I read she's a Zeta.

gphiangel624 04-12-2004 03:02 PM

Miss California states in her interview that she was in a sorority, and she went to Sonoma State University. I know there are only a couple sororities there as it is a small school, so I'm dying to find out which one!

It says in her bio that she helps the Zeta Tau Alpha Walk. Does anyone know for sure if she's a ChiO or a ZTA?

mullet81 04-12-2004 03:37 PM

i have far too much time on my hads (or i have senoritis) and i googled Miss Iowa aka Brooke Hansen:

shadokat 04-12-2004 05:11 PM

I remember a post about this girl...she's in a local at her school.

Actually, I think Kath and I discussed whether or not Miss Wisconsin USA is a DG and we don't think she is. There isn't a DG chapter at Marquette. There's a possibility that she transferred from another school to Marquette, but since she doesn't list another school under the "education" section of her resume, it's more likely that she just helped out with the DG philanthropy.

I had a list of all the Miss USA Greeks but unfortunately it's on my computer at the sorority house and not here (at my parents' house).

As for Tri Delts, I believe Miss Kansas USA and Miss North Carolina USA are both Tri Delts, and although I couldn't find anything to completely confirm it, I'm almost positive Miss Alabama is as well.

mullet81 04-12-2004 05:41 PM

Miss Arizona is a Theta - i googled her and found this:

http://www.azsportsfan.com/members/sports/08222002.html

ASUADPi 04-12-2004 05:57 PM

mullet81, thanks for the information on Arizona.

Anyone know about California?

As for Wisconsin, I read her bio and she states that she helped DG and WAGS. Doesn't mean she was a DG.

So I just did a search for Sonoma State University, here is a listing of National and Locals on the campus. So obviously she is a member of one of these:

AGD
A Xi D
Chi D
Gamma Phi
KDZ
Lambda Sigma Gamma
Lambda Theta Nu

ajuhdg 04-12-2004 06:21 PM

Miss New Jersey is in AKA, inc.

Miss Tennesse is a Sigma Nu Sigma (local?)

p.s. You forgot to add North Carolina to your list, ASU. She's a Tri-Delta too.

aj

ASUADPi 04-12-2004 06:32 PM

I wasn't sure if it was confirmed that she NC was a Tri-Delt or not? :)

PsychTau 04-12-2004 08:01 PM

Miss Arkansas....

is an ALPHA SIGMA TAU!!!!!

http://www.missusa.com/delegates/200...fashion/AR.jpg

ASUADPi 04-12-2004 08:11 PM

Tippiechick 04-12-2004 09:01 PM

Ok.

Two of the contestants looked SO familiar to me. So, I did a search on them.
Kyra, Miss Utah, was on The Bachelor and Stephanie, Miss Tennessee was also in the 2002 Miss America pageant.
