Condi Rice's Testimony

Interesting. I would hate to have her job.:(

Ditto.

And what the heck is up with all the applause? I feel as if I'm watching a circus. Looks like Richard Ben-Veniste's ripping her a new one right now.

Kids, today's commission hearing has been brought to you by the letters "P", "D", and "B". :D :p

This is really messed up but I think I'm attracted to Condi. This isn't that messed up is it?

As far as I'm concerned, Bob Kerry lost all credibility by calling Dr. Rice "Dr. Clark" throughout his rude interrogation.

deuika 04-08-2004 11:54 AM

They are so patronizing her.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like her. But she's a very intelligent woman. Then again, this whole testimony is a waste of time.

I don't think that's it. Come on does nobody else feel this way? Nobody else thinks she's pretty? What the heck is wrong with me??

I think shes pretty, and can scream your name in eight languages

wholly inapproriate, but true

Rudey 04-08-2004 03:11 PM

Well I've done it. I printed a couple pictures of her on the office printer and they're on my desk. I don't care who knows. I think I like her more than Hilary Duff now.

Is it so bad that every time they mentioned "Dick Clarke" I started thinking of American Bandstand?

Rudey,
I personally think Dr. Rice is what guys call the whole package. She's intelligent, she's beautiful, she's cultured, she loves football, she has a high-paying job and she's a sorority chick. AND, of course, she's a Republican ;)

What's not to love???

I've been saying this all day and people look at me like I'm retarded. I think she's all that and more. I taped her pictures up on my wall above my pictures from despair.com.

cutiepatootie 04-09-2004 12:10 PM

I think Dr. Rice is a woman ( black or white ) who is a role model for women. I am not sayinghtis because i too am Republican but That is no easy task that position she is in but because she is beautiful, intelligent, all around role model for any woman to look too.

IS she Alpha Chi Omega or which sorority?

I was thinking the same exac tthing when every time they mentioned dick Clarke i would think DICK CLARK...bandstand, the other half, new yr eve, etc... lol :D

GeekyPenguin 04-09-2004 12:14 PM

Ms. Rice is an Alpha Chi Omega, who actually wears her badge quite a bit. :)

She's an Alpha Chi from the University of Denver. She's also a concert pianist, and her dream job is to be the NFL Commissioner.

My stepdad has been pushing me to read her autobiography. I browsed through it and agree that she is a very accomplished woman.

deuika 04-09-2004 03:57 PM

I was talking to my sister about this last night. She's a very accomplised woman, intelligent as far as education is concerned, common sense....hmmmm.

But yeah, they often do give her more grief than necessary IMO, then again she's the first, the first always has it the worse.

abaici 04-09-2004 04:12 PM

I have a newfound respect for her after the hearings. I think she handled herself quite nicely. However, she was VERY long-winded. I thought the exchange between her and Ben-Veniste was pretty funny.

I think that was deliberate. There was a time limit on her testimony, and the longer her statements were, the more she controlled her appearance, and limited the potential for damaging questions. She's not stupid.

James 04-09-2004 04:18 PM

Also . . being somewhat long winded gives you the ability to stray off topic and still sound like you are saying things of substance.

But yes she handled herself well.

I concur...

But she definitely controlled that conversation. The thing that makes them angry is how cool she always is. They want to see her get all "ignant" but she remains unshook.

Rudey 04-09-2004 04:28 PM

Do you think she'd send me an autographed photo?

send her a love letter. maybe she will.

XOMichelle 04-09-2004 05:55 PM

I didn't see all of her testimony, but she is very well spoken! Much more interesting than the boring speech she gave at my graduation.
