Color me GREEN WITH ENVY! I'd LOVE to be sitting in a little cafe'
sipping some coffee right now and taking it all in! |
amen to that...just to get out of el paso would be a trip, but france, wow! enjoy it all and post lots of pictures.
|
How are the French treating you? It seems just wrong to have given the French a nice place to live like France in WWII...

Nice is wonderful! I hope you continue to have a great time. :)

Maybe I oversimplify a _tad_
Hey Maggie :)
Glad to hear you're having a good time! Whereabouts are you, Paris? Do you go back to Londres afterwards? ETA: Ooh Nice! Awesome - enjoy the sun! I shall help with one or two useful phrases (I'll leave out swearwords, you'll quickly pick them up :p) I'll take a coke/beer: Je prendrai (prondray) un coca/biere (cokah/bee-air). Sounds soo more casual and laissez-fair than 'I would like' and impresses people'. Please: Sil vous plait The cat is in the tree: Le chat est dans l'arbre Waving your hands in the air/shrugging/saying "ol lo loor"... everything else  [For all I know you're trilingual though lol] |
And if all else fails, you're lost in Paris and the local citizenry can't or won't help a confused American, then hail the next taxicab and tell him the four magic words pronounced phonetically here:
"SANK ROO DOE NOO" In the French as she is spoke it's "Cinq Rue d'Aunou" (5 d'Aunou Road). That's the address for Harry's New York Bar, the one island of Americana in a sea of Frogs! ;) :) :D |
Oh wow! I've always wanted to go to the South of France. Enjoy it!
|
Enjoy! I just got back from Ireland, and while it's not the beach on the south of France, it was great -- you should go there, too, if you get a chance! On the way back, I stopped in London, too! :D
|
WOW Kev, You really are a Snake!:)
Oh, Nice' is Nice!:D Never Been There, but OH Well, been to a few Countrys around it! The French were The Only ones to Pay Off Their WW II Debt to The USA!:) They are still Dicks! |

Ooh, enjoy Nice! I lived in Aix (just north of Marseille) for a semester and visited Nice frequently. All the towns in that area are nice. Have you been to the top of that hill yet? (the name escapes me).
Are you staying in Nice or traveling around Provence? If you're traveling around, be sure to visit Cannes, Marseille, St Tropez, Aix, Arles, Avignon, St. Paul de Vence, Grasse etc etc... Have fun! You're in my favorite spot in the world. PM me if you want some ideas of things to do. |
Hope you're having a great time!
St Tropez. Where the rich and beautiful (or possibly annoying) people congregate. :)
And we need updates so make sure you update your LiveJournal you bad girl! :D |

Don't forget to check out the Piazza Navona - the best piazza can be, and enjoy all the gelati in every corner of Rome! And if you have time, you have to go to San Clemente, a little bit south of Colosseo - a church built in layers to understand how Rome is built overtime. It is a 12th century church - built on to of 4th century church, which was also built under an ancient Roman temple. Just keep going down, and the more you go down, the more amazing things you would see! Gosh, I am jealous! Enjoy your trip |
sprained my ankle!
