What's your call???
This was inspired by another thread in this forum. What's your call? I know Howard and Georgetown have Phi-Que 25. At TSU and Fisk you say 1 999999999999999999999 2 5555555555555555555555. Who else has calls and what are they?

But anyway, Attractive, you forgot "APO! Me Too!", and 25-Que! I think the last one is before your time. We rarely use that one. Alot of people don't know the 1925 and 25-Que call originated from Tennessee State. You learn something new everyday huh. Strawter:cool: P.S, can you e-mail me the info regarding the Service project this Saturday. I plan on being in attendance. |
who were you talking about
Were you talking about the men or women on their campus?!?
Just curious |

Dom, we haven't did a Sweet Skeet in a min...! LOL!!! We have used "Sweet Skeet" before!
|
In the DELTA PHI CHAPTER...we havent Sweet Skeeted in about a year...BUT...we did SWEET SKEET and didnt see a major problem with it BECAUSE....during part of our process we were told by another chapter who exibited the SKEET call... we were also told that females didnt do a call but we the DELTA PHI females, wanted to do a call...so we came up with SWEET-SKEET ...it died off..because i guess as a group we havent used a call for some time...and so i guess our Sweet Skeet and Skeet days have passed...
thanks attractive for enlightening me on the subject at hand |
skeet skeet is a vike call so if your guys aren't vikes...
i will pm you about the sweet skeet...it's not lady like:confused: |
As a correction, Georgetown's call isn't PHI-QUE...2....5. This is out of the mouths of those who are currently at Georgetown. Matter of fact at a sectional event, a brother of Mu Alpha said they never even heard of it. Food for thought.
|
Jasmine,
If Mu Alpha doesn't have a call, then where did Zeta Phi get it from? Think things through before you go around making corrections. 'K? Thanks. Food for thought. |
Its cute how you tried to correct me and be out, but like i said, never once did i say that it didnt originate there, but lets be forreal they don't use it. And if bruhs from that chapter, whether it be yours or not, said it wasn't their call then its not. Take it up with them not me.
|
You are not in my chapter. Why are you still talking?

All of the mentioned calls I have heard before one done by some chapter... well except the sweet skeet thing. Havent really heard any others besides those. |
Yeah, at TSU the Alpha don't 11119-00006 nothing. A-Phi - 06 is what we're use to. I guess it varies...but anyway. The bruhs at FAMU use APO-Me Too! as well.

I know the Alpha's don't really trip much over the use of a similar call because the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho have a call that goes.... " 111... 19... 222.. 22" and " 11119 22222" The first time the SGRhos did this call at a probate show the Alpha's seemed a bit taken back but they didn't get upset... I guess they said it's all out of love. |
Wow, I can't front I have been to Georgetown with my letters on....heard no call. But maybe it was a bad Day. In any event Zeta Phi has several calls, however Phi Que is the most Common.
Lets get along folks We are also forgetting "AYE PHI.....QUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mostly for the old heads though |
Well to be honest...if a "Brother" that wasn't from my chapter came up on my campus with my letters on, I wouldn't do the call either. I would probably approach them and talk to them to see if they are a brother, but I wouldn't just up and do the call. There are several different calls in our frat and he might not do the same one I do. Even though Mu Alpha might not do the call that often, that does not take away from the fact that they were the originators.
P.S. I think it's tacky for Brothers to be arguing in such a childish manner on this public forum. |

it must vary from state to state cause in alabama its 1111190000000000006 they do Say A Phi A too but its usually the 11190006 |
yall are funny ever group has its petty arguments... it aint that deep |

I think it does vary from state to state... I'm in Florida (not too far from Alabama) and like I said the Alpha's use that call 99.9% of the time. Terminology varies also... I remember the first time I heard a member of a BGLO from up north say they wanted to give a shout out to their "Ship" or something like that... When I asked and it was broken down to me... they were basically saying the same thing as a shout out to their "Sands" I know that when BGLOs go to regional and sectional conferences that they sometimes share chants/strolls/calls with their neighboring frat/sorority members... but it is always out of unity. |
My comment wasnt meant to be a part of an argument, it really started off greekchat and filtered in, since i wasnt allowed to say what i wanted to say. I know who originated it, the question i thought was what call do you use, as in recent. Personally it doesnt really matter to me what your call is, as long as you always approach in the brotherly manner.
<tip toeing out now> |
By the way ladies and Gentleman...this is NOT the Alpha Phi Alpha forum, please take that to the forum in which it belongs. Thank you.
Y'all know I love you's |

I think we all know that this is the ALPHA PHI OMEGA forum... I don't think anyone was trying to make it otherwise. A discussion was started about calls and the similarity between the Alpha's call and the call used by some chapters of APO was introduced into the convo :) I don't know you... but I love you's TOO :D |
