I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet... Nick and Jessica are doing their own variety show in 2 weeks on ABC - barf!!! I am so sick of these two!! They were funny and entertaining for awhile - now i just want them to GO AWAY!!!

I heard Jessica on a radio station and she said the reason why they took Nick out of her rendition of "take My Breath Away" was because they didn't want to over saturate people with the two of them.

I think the media is overly-saturated w/ Jessica more so than Nick. Why didn't they take her out the "Take my Breath Away" remake & let Nick do it?

neither of them should have redone the song... it is just awful now

I heard that Nick's record label wouldn't let them put out the duet. Has anyone seen him on the cover of April's Details magazine? He's wearing a fur coat. WTF? The variety show sounds like it will be cheesy. Why are they trying to be the new Sonny and Cher?

Jessica and Nick are flying into Wilmington, NC on Friday.....my friend and i are going to stalk the hell out of them. its going to be like when Britney and Justin were here a couple of years ago.

they're supposed to be filming the third season while she's here performing and doing all that shit

i just saw the commercial for the variety special. cool! i wanna watch. yeah i know i am a dork:p

after about 20 seconds, i just couldn't watch anymore... it was that bad :rolleyes:

I watched it. (though I kept flipping back to High School Reunion during the commercials) I thought it was cute. But then again I have memories of watching Donny and Marie and reruns of Sonny and Cher back when I was a little kid.

even though jessica was over singing it, i thought that she and jewel did awesome together on singing 'who will save your soul'

The duet with Jewel was tame compared to that crazy oversung/dramatic performance of "Take My Breath Away". The show was cheesy, but I did laugh a little at the Mickey Mouse Club skit. And I liked "I Got You Babe" at the end.

Jessica and Nick are the cutest couple ever!!! If only all relationships could be as loving as theirs the world would be a better place.

They are very accepting to one another's needs.

I had to stop watching though...Jessica kinda totally over reacts when she sings. And it makes me tired and stressed for her. But damn, Nick is hot! :p

The show was dumb....I changed it after a few minutes...I flipped back & forth....it never got any better. I don't like her version of "Take My Breath Away" either...she butchered a classic.

Those 2 make me nauseaus. They are not the new Sonny and Cher and should quit while they're ahead.

I'm glad they're not trying to be like Sonny and Cher. I got through watching the show. most of it was okay. How many people in this thread feels how long the show will last before ABC cancel it? I'd say give it four-five weeks.

I didn't watch it. I think my younger sister did, though, so I'll have to ask her what she thought.

i watched a few scene while flipping back and forth to another show. it was alright. there were some funny moments here and there. i give it 4 weeks until it gets the boot.

Ok, OK I'll admit it, I watched it and got a few good chuckles. I didn't like the duet with Jewel, but the duet with Kit and Nick was pretty funny. I do have to admit that I fell asleep before the end. Not sure I would watch it again though

Whatever. I can't wait to see how loving they are-and how long they last-when the cameras go away, and they actually have to...gasp!...BE MARRIED......ALONE....:eek:

from the reactions i am reading, i am kinda glad i missed it. oh well... jessica simpson grates my nerves anyway.

I think it was just a one time thing. ABC could bring it back though since the ratings were good. But Nick and Jessica might be too busy to do it, if their pilots get picked up.

i actually liked it. some things were funny, but there was a lil too much singing in there for me.

they'll be back for christmas

They should rename they show the Nick and Jessica's Boobs Variety Show. I was afraid those things would fall out any minute during that show! But I'm sure the guys didnt mind. :)

I thought the writing was horrible. I've seen better skits during Greek Week.

i was watching in the beginning but I kept flipping through the channels

I hate jessica anyway...its was basically the Jessica show!
She did all the singing since Nick's vocals suck anyway!!!

OMG...and what totally annoyed me is when she was performing with Jewel...Jessica was getting like a spaz-attack with all her hand movements, shaking around, and cramped up facial expressions!!!! I just wanted to slap her...she totally tried to imitate Jewel and she was trying so damn hard to get those notes outta her body!!!! WACK!!!!!!!!!!!
