I thought there was a thread on this show already but I couldn't find it.


Anyway, I love this show and I was really excited when I heard that the new season starts next week (I thought MTV was going to cancel it). The season premiere is April 7, 10 PM EST . . . and it features an Ole Miss sorority girl who wants to become a Broadway dancer.

No, I don't know which sorority. :)

I was wandering through the living room and some of the kids were watching Made. The episode was about a girl who wanted to make a school dance squad called the Emeralds. We had to leave and we're dying to know if she made it! Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure she didn't make it.

I've spent the last three weeks telling mu_agd how she needs to watch this show. Today I gave her periodic updates on Nile the Jewish Minneapolis wannabe rapper.

That was a great episode...MADE is either hit or miss. I'm not a fan of the girly girl princess wanting to become a hard core rocker or extreme sports guru. My favorite ones is when they take the akward people and try to make them different.

If it works for Matisyahu, it can for Nile!

Some of the MADEs were pretty worthwhile (the pageant queen, the talent show girl, the Emerald, the cheerleader)...

But they have a lot of stupid ones this season (the wakeboarder & the figure skater come to mind).

My favorites are Nile, Kitty the pageant queen, and Kristin the BMX biker.

I tend to not like the episodes where they want to become "rock stars."

The mouse-y Asian girl who tried out for her school's talent show irritated the shat outta me.

Sure, she could sing and I thought she rocked "Lady Marmalade", but that whole "I'm shy...I'm so so so shy" made me wanna smack some confidence in her.

Her sister is a Chi Omega at Ole Miss and her boyfriend is a KA, he was president this past year. However, for some reason I thought she was a KD... but, she might be a Chi Omega.

I loved the episode a long time ago about the guy who wanted to learn latin/salsa dancing with his girl best friend so he could woo her. It was sweet - even though she told him she just wanted to be friends. :(

I also liked the one with the chunky-gay-theatre guy who wanted to be a hunky soccer star. I liked the way all the tough-mucho soccer guys adapted to him.

I HATED THE ONE WITH THE GAY SOCCER GUY.

He was so whiny.

ditto. His lisp was f'ing ridiculous and he was a whiny annoying idiot.

There was an episode this weekend about a young lady who was only known as the "fat girl" at her high school. She wanted to be made into a healthier, happier person. This was the first made episode that got me all teary eyed as I watched her struggle to the finish line in a marathon. :)

i saw this one this past weekend. mtv really likes to re-run shows over and over, especially the gauntlet 2. i saw that like 20 times. was it just me or did the girl look bigger every time they showed her? when she was at camp, i didnt even recognize her.

Is it just me, or did Genevive the classical pianist-turned rapper look more 80's then hip-hop when she performed??? And I'm sorry, but if your name is Genevive, and you speak the way she did before Attlas got a hold of her...you were NOT born to be a rapper.

Maybe it was her old clothes that were making her look bigger. The jeans had seen better days and the t-shirts deserved a decent burial. I thought she was a pretty girl and I was really rooting for her. Underdogs always get me all weepy. :o :)

She should consider getting some new friends, because when she made her announcement about losing weight, they weren't encouraging at all. :(

I was trying to figure out if her boyfriend was living with her and her mom. If so, then ewww.
I didn't catch that episode. How did she speak?

Well, at her first meeting with Attlas you could almost hear the "crickets chirping/that just went over my head" sound effect and the look he gave her was priceless. She had a kind of Shakespeare quality to her speech...and he even made her rap Romeo and Juliet.
