Anyone else got greek week going on? we just finished ours and we won....again. second time in past three years

OKAY, Congrats! Are you the only Greek Fraternity on Campus?

His is the only greek life on campus. They have Greek week between themselves and pretend there are other chapters. The trophies are all made out of papier mache. It is very sad. :(

I'm kidding of course. :D A search reveals he goes to SDSU (San Diego State) which has flourising Greek life! NPC, PFA, IFC, NPHC etc!

hm well i'm not at my chapter--- but our greekweek just started- they had our lip synch last night (we got 2nd last year- but should have WON! GRR) and i know that other festivities are continuing.... we usually win greeks of the year and highest gpa... but that was when we had like 10 sisters... now we have like 35... sooo that probably own't happen again this year... lol

Yea greek week would be a lot more fun if we had competition considering we have won 20 times out of 26 times.

yeah...by a big 7 points...lol...you guys did good taking it from us winning last year.
my chapter got 3rd place this year.

We showed up to events.....

But Theta and Kappa Sig decided to leave us out of everything.....

Ah well.

Our Greek Week starts next week. We're all so excited for it!

Our actives are doing this in a few weeks. I believe we were paired with Sigma Kappa. Won 2nd overall last year (just barely lost). They could win it all this year.

This year was the BEST Greek Week EVER!

Not only did we win (YAY!), we had a GREAT time! :D

This year we were paired up with FIJI & Lambda Chi Alpha...

Our GW was themed: "Lend me some sugar, I am your neighbor!"
(but a 50's/60's theme was ALSO incorparated- RANDOM i know!)

and each of the 6 teams were assigned a character from the OutKast video...

Our team was Andre "Ice Cold" 3000... we were DEFINITELY the rowdiest! (We had clappers, bullhorns, pans, & all sorts of random noise makers...)

BTW: Do you all have a Greek God & Goddess crowned during your Greek Week?

I'm proud to say that Greek God went to a FIJI & Greek Goddess went to a DphiE! :D

Does anyone know how greek week went at the U of AL? It was a couple of week ago and the school paper has yet to mention it.

Our Greek Week is in a few weeks....can't wait :D I'll finally be able to participate and not just be a cheerleader :p

Just a question for you all, do your Greek Events include drinking games? We have 2 or 3 drinking events in Rio's. Yes, it's in the middle of campus, w/a cop, and regulated.

You have to be 21 or it has to be one of those nonalcoholic beers.

We definitely don't have that.

Our Greek Week is coming up and we are paired with Sigma Pi, Sigma Nu and Zeta Tau Alpha. Last year the AU Greek Community raised over $20,000 for Leukemia research- let's hope we can beat that this year!

We're in the middle of Greek Week right now....

We placed second in the chalking contest today. We were paired up with the ever so cute Chi Phi boys and the theme for the week is Lost in the 80's so we did Care Bears and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the old MTV flag on the moon and saved by the bell, etc. It looked good but my fingers are all cut and scraped up from smoothing the chalk! :) All worth it for Greek Week points!

our greek week started this week. And we are kicking some tail :D
but i have a question for ya'll ... every year we have threats of never having a greek week again because of the fights that start (so & so got cheated here... that group did this ... you catch my drift) do yall every have to deal with the high levels of "wanting to win" and if so & so's group aint winning its the other groups fault???
I ask this because we had capture the flag and a fraternity and another soroity on campas chewed one of my sisters out (she is on the greek week committe) all because they thought she changed the rule (which they did not read the rules and crap went on from there). I had a lady from another sorority call my sister a "Bitch" right infront of me, and it took me a min. not to go off, and then a guy (really big guy) got in my sisters face(small girl) to bithc her out. i mean like inches from her face.
Oh i could go on and on about what happened because temperatures flared because their side wasnt winning
It is sad that those some people are out their representing their org. and that when it comes to winning most go back to asking like lil kids,expecially the guys ( no offence to anyone reading)

I am the panhellenic greek week chair and we are having our greek week in the 2nd to last week in April. AST won last year, and we are definitely looking to defending our championship! I am excited to perform in Lip Sync! We've won it for the past 3 years.

Well, if I were the greek adviser and there was some fighting going on that never got resolved (meaning the same stuff year after year) we'd just take out the event everyone is fighting over. Capture the flag for instance. If you can't play by the rules and can't play without fighting, we wouldn't play.

Seriously, though...if it's the same game causing trouble year after year (or if it causes serious trouble) take it out of the lineup. I'm assuming "capture the flag" is all about getting another groups flag/banner...if that's the case it might be too risky of a game (i.e. breaking into the fraternity houses, etc.) Are you at UCA? If so, where are the sororities flags kept?

Anyway, that's my opinion. I guess it depends on the situation....
