it is jessica simpson part 2....her sister, ashlee, is having a new reality show on mtv this summer. at least 6 episodes will follow her as she finishes making her album and her painful breakup ( i dont know who the guy is).

i really do like jessica but i dont think that i can tolerate her sister too:rolleyes:

i cannot stand her sister - she is 10 times more annoying than jessica. i just can't listen to her voice on 7th heaven, blah!!!

What is with these celebrities who get their talentless siblings into the business? Miss Spears did it too with her sister, Nick Carter's little brother, etc. You know that Jamie Lynn Spears, Aaron Carter, and Ashlee Simpson would never have been given the time of day if it weren't for their famous sibling. This another show on MTV that I won't be watching.

a lot of even older celebrities got in bc of their parents.. its def not a new thing.. since the field is so saturated you pretty much have to be lucky or know someone already..

Could she be more wooden? She has no inflection - it's like she's trying too hard to act. But then again, it the same as that guy who plays Lucy's husband. :rolleyes:

i'm not looking forward to the show either. i remember her from watching Newlyweds when it was their Christmas show and they were at some family house, and they were singing carols, and I just remember Ashlee singing "Merry Christmas" inbetween lines to her mom to be cute/funny. It annoyed me sooooo much, and you know I've seen it like 100 times because of all the re-runs MTV does. I swear you can watch a whole season of a show in one day now. they trick you. you think your watching one episode and then 5 hours later your totally caught up with it... i notice that they don't have ending credits or something to show that one episode ended and another one is starting. anyways, not looking forward to her show. lol

I agree with everyone- her voice is soooo annoying... definitely like Jessica better than her. Her boyfriend, or I guess now her ex was some blonde guy from that Pop Stars group (I believe). That's the only guy I read about that she was linked with.

She was dating Simon until Simon hit and accidentally killed that guy. They worked as night janitors at the high school for her dad's janitor business.

Then Simon left and some new charity case--Martin, I think his name is, moved into the Camden's house and now she's dating him...or was, anyway. The freaking show has more outsiders than Camdens these days.

I know, OTW needs to get a life and she needs to stop watching 7th Heaven.

i just saw her new music video. i like her voice. what ruins the video is the parts where she has black hair and wearing a punk shirt. :rolleyes: who is she kidding????

Like most of the teen pop/punk/whatever singers out there lately, she's been mixed and overproduced to within an inch of her life so you can't hardly tell what she really sounds like. I didn't think it was horrible, but not outstanding, either. Fairly middle-of-the-road. I'm sure she'll get a decent fanbase because she is so different from her sister.

Her song is growing on me....a little. But I think she's trying too hard to be some rock girl singer. We don't need another Michelle Branch (the original sucks enough). The black hair is a bad idea and kinda looks like a mullet. And the punk tank top just makes me laugh.

OOh, I have a great idea for a new reality-TV show...

We'll call it "Sib Stars" and it will revolve around the day-to-day activities of the siblings of famous stars who are living in a house together for 12 weeks, during which time they are supposed to write, produce and market an album, pooling their talents and mooching off their big-name brothers and sisters! Watch the hilarity, hookups and in-house fighting ensue!

Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I like Ashlee. Jessica's dumbness really annoys me...thank God her sister isn't so dumb. Although, I don't think she should have a show, she's already on the WB's longest running show, and has an album on the way out....geez...how rich do these people want to be *don't answer that by the way*

radio is playing the isht out of ashlee's song here. SOOOOOOO does not make my work day any better...

i have never heard the song on the radio before. probably because of the stations that i listen to. (all 90s station, etc.)

I really don't like her as an actress, but her single is growing on me- well mainly that one part that she's singing about monday through wednesday. But you can tell she doesn't have the range Jessica does.

She sounds like she's dying of emphysema.

Oh my god! I just watched the show and she is as bad as Jessica. I admit I am a Jessica fan, but the not knowing how to clean, and the wining she did about josh is exactly like her sister. I cant stand it. But i am a "reality" show junkie so i will probably continue watching it

well, you don't hear much about kelly clarkson. the only time i've seen/heard about her was when she was on the AI Finale.


i think they're pushing the whole "i'm not my sister" thing too much. all the punk clothing and hairstyles. you can tell that she does like pop and stuff. i think her bf broke up with her cause she was too needy. how many times did she say i love you to him?!?!

I am listening to Ashlee sing live on KISS 103.5 in Chicago and she actually has a really good voice.
I'm impressed.

I was watching last weeks episode (or maybe it was the week before) where she was talking about how her sister was always so beautifull and talented and she always felt like she was in the shadows. I started to wonder how much Ashlee even wants to be a musician and how much of it is just competing with Jessica for attention from their parents and from the world. I actually felt really bad for her. She seems like such a sweet girl.

She is 100x more annoying than Jessica and looks awful with her hair brown and her show sucks!

I guess I agree with a lot of you when I thought Ashlee was annoying. I saw Jessica Simpson in concert in Chicago July 10th. Ashlee was one of the people who opened for Jessica. At first, she appeared to me as someone was trying TOO hard not to be like her sister. I mean, the hair color change and her wardrobe. To me, she was like a fake! But, once she started singing a few of her songs, she turned out to be pretty good. I bought her CD this week for myself and my two sisters and we all agree that she acts too fake, but we also agree that her CD is good.

I listened to her cd last week on mtv.com. I liked "Pieces of Me", "Shadow", "La La", and "Autobiography". The cd is ok, but I don't think I'd buy it.

ROFLOL. Who knew she'd blow up.
